Just wanted to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to the team who care for my mother. They are the kindest, most patient souls. Nothing fazes them, they remain calm and positive always. This means so much to our family, it takes worries away and gives respite to my elderly father who also
cares for Mum. They are a font of information and will offer advice to make Mum's and our lives easier. They spotted a water infection much sooner than we would have which meant that she got the correct treatment quickly. Mum's and our families lives have been enriched by their care and company, as well as their compassion. Thank you.

My father has used TUcare since his 100th birthday, 15 months ago. We have found them excellent, caring and very efficient. The office staff, as well as the carers, take a genuine interest in his welfare. At 101-years-old, which I believe is their oldest client, he needs a great deal done for him and
all his needs are met. I especially like the way the staff communicate with my father. they are always friendly and cheerful, making his later years as comfortable as possible.

My husband required palliative care for the last few weeks of his life and this was provided by the TUcare agency. It was arranged at short notice and I was very impressed with the staff who were reliable, always appropriately dressed, with ID and greeted us with a smile and treated my husband with
dignity and respect. They were aware of his capabilities and his needs and any problems or queries were brought to my attention to allow the joined-up care that was required. They always made sure he was left comfortable and had everything within reach. End of life nursing is not an easy option and the staff not only handled it to a high standard but also importantly, showed that they care. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

I am 81 and look after my 83-year-old husband at home. He has advanced Parkinson's and is partially paralysed, doubly incontinent and am tuned to a hospital bed after serious vascular surgery.
TUcare provides a hand four times a day NHS care for him, as well as privately funded night care so that
I can get a nights sleep. I am happy to recommend TUcare as a company that gives a personal service of a high standard. Their employees are friendly, pleasant and competent, and genuinely care for their client and work well together as a team.

TUcare has been providing short care visits most mornings for my mother, and to assist my father who is her full-time carer. As they are both in their 90s, this is a struggle for him. The staff have been very helpful and flexible. They try to use the same carer on each visit as much as possible, but
this can't always be arranged. They send a rota each week by email, so we know who is coming and when. Also, I can keep up to date with the carers notes from each visit on the app they use, which is very helpful, though occasionally, some carers notes can be very brief. The carers have helped my father contact doctors and arrange visits when they feel there is a need. The management is happy to talk and help out with any questions or concerns and offer good advice.

We have been thoroughly satisfied with everything that TUcare has done for my father. We find that the carers who come to the flat have very high professional standards. They flag up problems straight away and let head office, the relative people in the NHS and family know very quickly. Their method
of informing all concerned by phone works very well. They are very reliable, almost always there on time and if not, they ring to let you know. They communicate well with my father and stimulate him. They make him feel important and relevant. Their visits are the highlight of his life, particularly at this time when family can't visit him. Their prices are competitive.

We have been using TUcare to look after my sister since January 2020, and all I can say is that the office and all the carers go above and beyond to ensure that my sister, who is bedridden, is well looked after and comfortable at all times that they attend to her. My sister gets 7 hours of care every
24, and the care and attention that she is given by all are outstanding. Without TUcare, I do not know what we would have done, as my sister does not under any circumstances want to go into a nursing home, and we rely entirely on TUcare, as I, myself, live overseas, as do other members of her family.
We, as a family, would recommend TUcare without hesitation and in comparison to their agencies that we have used in the past; they gold star.

Having been let down previously by an independent carer during the pandemic. TUcare are a breath of fresh air! Mum has had different carers and has been very complimentary of them all. I was nervous about having different people for her as she needs consistency, but I have felt reassured as she is happy.
The system for altering care due to hospital appointments has been easy to negotiate and the whole process has certainly taken a lot of pressure off of me! Going forward, as Mum needs' increase, I am confident that the systems and training TUcare use will help her no end.
A big thank you from me, and yes, I have already recommended the company to others.

My mother-in-law needed help after a series of falls and TUcare quickly found a live-in carer to help her regain some of her confidence. Our carer was very patient, kind, gentle and a good cook.
TUcare provided PPE for use where required and we felt that Mum was safe and well cared for, enabling us
to get some much-needed sleep at nights.

I am getting over an operation, and I have had two weeks of someone coming in every morning to help wash me and get me dressed and every evening to help me into bed. As I also have MS and am in a wheelchair, this help has been essential for myself and my husband. Every lady that has come in to help
have been lovely, and they have always asked me if they can do anything else to help, never rushing off or making me hurry up. Never feel embarrassed to ask for help they have made it so easy for us. Also this way it takes the pressure off your loved ones.

I would wholeheartedly recommend TUcare to any family seeking personal care for a loved one. They are truly exceptional, totally competent on the practical side of things as well as naturally caring. The carers that help with my mum (who has dementia) have a real rapport with her and are a calming influence
on her even though she can get agitated. Their patience with her is admirable. The team at TUcare have made an extremely stressful and sad situation much more bearable for our whole family. The office/admin staff are also extremely professional, sincere and friendly.

When visiting my friend, a client of TUcare recently, I was extremely impressed with the service provided to her. The carers were at all times friendly but respectful, polite and professional. They worked hard to understand her wishes and to make every day as good as it could be for her. They dealt
with an unexpected occurrence calmly and competently, comforting and reassuring my friend until help arrived, and then giving a comprehensive and accurate account to the paramedics. The care she has received from this service has been, in all regards, excellent.

My father was discharged from the hospital to home with delirium and dementia symptoms against the family's wishes. TU Care was engaged to provide overnight care. The carer was superb. Unfortunately, it was a failed discharge and my father was readmitted to the hospital 14 hours after discharge. As
such we were unable to give TU Care 24 hours notice that the carer was not required for the second night.


TU Care is not using common sense in this case and firmly enforcing its terms and conditions. Rather than forming a long term relationship with us where we would have engaged them again in the future they have a very short term view of the business. For this, I will never recommend them or return to them.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your frustration and anger towards the fact that your father was subject to a failed discharge from hospital. Unfortunately, we feel your frustration and anger is directed at the wrong organisation. We were employed by yourselves as a private arrangement.
We are not disputing that your father was very unwell but as you have stated, our carer that visited provided superb care to your father. It is so we can provide superb care and employ caring and compassionate carers that it is part of our terms and conditions, which you were given a copy of prior to the package of care starting, that we do charge a cancellation if we have less than 24 hours notice. This is to allow us to be a responsible employer and pay the carer for the visits they have been booked to complete.
Should you wish to challenge your father's discharge and assist in ensuring this does not happen to others, we would highly recommend that you contact the relevant team at the hospital.
