Papillon Home Care carers are great with my grandad who has dementia. He loves it when the carers go to him in the evenings. They are all so caring and helpful. Nothing is too much for them. We are very happy with the care provided.

My nan has recently begun to have care. She was extremely reluctant at first but with the support from Papillon office team, they were able to support Nan to understand what their role would be and to still enable her to have her independence. My nan was also anxious to have care due to her complex
medical history but with the office team and care support, my nan overcame this and is now thriving.

We are so lucky to have Papillon. They are so caring, kind and thoughtful, nothing is too much for them. Very knowledgeable and professional when assisting my husband with personal care. His main carer noticed he was not quite himself, she got in touch with the district nurse who came out and prescribed
him antibiotics which prevented his condition deteriorating. They are all amazing, even the office staff go over and above to ensure we are well looked after. It's so reassuring knowing that they will be with us every day. It also gives our family peace of mind knowing we are being cared for by such wonderful people. I would highly recommend them.

Thank you to your wonderful carers who went above and beyond. Following a fall and hospitalisation in late 2021 Nan started receiving help at home, at first from another provider, which didn’t work out. Nan was fussy, set in her ways and liked a routine. She reluctantly agreed to try another agency
and thankfully things worked out with Papillon. They were understanding and accommodating to Nan's quirky ways and after time Nan built some good friendships with the girls/ladies that came to help. She would talk fondly of them and liked to tell me what they were up to, just small things like their family birthdays, getting their nails done, going out somewhere, or going on holiday. They shared their lives which kept Nan thinking of the world outside her home. As well as physical care, like washing, dressing, food, drinks and medication, they gave emotional support, company and friendship. I highly recommend Papillon and their wonderful carers.

My father has a slow form of MND and this has only recently been diagnosed, having previously been assessed as having Parkinson's disease.
I spend Sundays with my partner as a day of respite each week, as I am Dad's full time carer. At the moment, he only requires a lunchtime visit to prepare a hot
meal (microwaved) and to make his bed, the rest of the visit is for a bit of company and to make sure he has everything he needs to hand.
Papillon's dedicated carers are always on time, very supportive and friendly. They are a credit to the company.

A very professional service for all carers in my experience from postoperative care in mid 2020 until now and once a day.
Also very friendly and a pleasure to welcome in our home and along with management willing to listen and offer flexibility.

We have only just started to experience the homecare world.
I called two or three home care providers, and on calling Papillon, I was immediately reassured by a member of staff that their ladies in our area have been with Papillon a long time and were really lovely.
I felt Papillon were the right
fit for me and my dad! And I haven't been disappointed!

Papillon Home Care provided care to my Nan for 16 months leading up to January 2021 enabling her to stay in her own home for as long as possible. The carers were amazing, going above and beyond and gave great physical support as well as company. It was a great comfort knowing how well my Nan was being

Mary Harvey

Job Title: Managing Director

Mary has been in the healthcare industry for over 40 years. She became involved in homecare back in the late ’80s after care on a one-to-one basis for one of the most amazing ladies she has ever met – Mrs Papillon.


She in turn thought Mary was equally amazing as she enabled her to remain in her own home and die there with dignity – thus the name Papillon Home Care. In 1992 she became involved with setting up one of the first domiciliary care agencies in Ashford and has continued to work in this field. She became the first manager to receive the Kent Homecare Registered Manager’s award going on to be the winner of the South Regional and a finalist in the National Awards. She is highly motivated and committed to ensuring her clients and their needs are at the heart of her business.


In her time off Mary enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoys walking and listening to music.
