I have a carer twice a week for shopping and domestic duties. I have been very impressed by the quality of care, by the patience, understanding and the hard work in the house. Normally they combine a brisk efficiency with a friendly and sympathetic disposition. I would turn to them if as when I have
problems. The company seems well organised and easily contacted in the office. In recommendation, I say 'likely' because it is expensive (this I understand), and perhaps I may not be as rigorous in my domestic demands as someone most scrupulous might be but I have been very happy with the service and the friendship is has provided.

Carers are excellent. Management is very poor, they do not listen to complaints about times.

We have received no complaints in regards to this matter? I always deal with complaints swiftly and appropriately but are unable to do this if we do not know about a problem. This feedback will be passed onto the registered manager to look into.

I have only been with Blossom Home Care for a short time, but I have found them refreshingly different. I have had a lot of carers in the past, but with Blossom, I only have a small group coming to me, and I have been able to build a relationship with them already.

Professional, caring staff, nothing is too much trouble. Dad is very well looked after and enjoys chatting with his carers. I feel confident that they will handle any issues and call in any medical support as needed.

Blossom carers were fantastic and caring and went above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble. The carers knew exactly what care was needed and always made sure that she was happy and comfortable. They let my mum get involved and always listened to her.

Blossom Home Care have supported my mum for a few months now and I can honestly say if they weren’t here I wouldn’t have been able to keep her at home with me. The staff are great, they take their time to understand her needs and don’t rush her. They also give me support even though they don’t have
to.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.686 for Blossom Home Care York is calculated as follows: ( (28 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 35 Ratings = 4.686

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Blossom Home Care York is based on 5 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4.5

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
