Safe Harbour's swift response to help us care for my father was exactly what we needed. Morning and evening visits organised by their kind and efficient supervisor were just what we needed in caring for Dad.
Every members of the caring team made a tremendous effort to assist Dad especially as his needs
intensified.
The warmth, friendliness and friendliness of the caring team was excellent. We would strongly recommend - Safe Harbour Homecare.

Care for my daughter resumed back to normal following the Christmas and New Year. Two carers were back in the swing of things, carrying out their duties to a high standard. They also go above and beyond by helping out domestically. The only thing I would add is that when carers go off sick (which occurred)
there is no one available to take their place. Fortunately, no issues this time.

Safe Harbour Homecare staff come and take me shopping twice a month. So much truth in the saying 'a little help is worth a lot of pity'.
In their care, it's a great help, always willing, cheerful and with kindness.
Quite frankly, I do not know what I would do without them.

During my wife's care, she received outstanding treatment and service. All the carers were exceptionally kind, considerate and performed their tasks with skill and above all, with dignity. They all made my wife relaxed and peaceful and I cannot speak highly enough and to thank all of them, but to say
thank you all and god bless you all for a wonderful few months of care.

Safe Harbour has recently conducted a follow-up care assessment with myself and my parents. Experienced, careful, thoughtful, kind and understanding the purpose was to review my parent's needs since they started with Safe Harbour around a year ago. It covered timings of visits, staff visiting and whether
they were meeting all expectations.
We are all very happy with the staff that visit and the services they provide. Additionally, the carers have become friends to my parents. Any issues I deal directly with the office and their attentive responses have been first-class.

My wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2018, and it has been getting progressively worse. The carers at Safe Harbour have been an absolute lifesaver, and I can only describe them as angels on earth. I couldn't be happier or more grateful.

Safe Harbour care staff looked after my mother for nearly four years. In that time, we had a first-class, regular team of carers who were able to get to know my mother and her various needs and catered to them extremely well. The staff were reliable, kind and courteous and always cheerful. The admin
team are responsive and communicates well. It always felt like a very personal service.

Mum is very happy with Safe Harbour Homecare, she feels they are part of her family.
The carers arrive on time, are professional and always have time to chat and make Mum feel reassured.
This continuity is important to Mum as she likes a routine.

Mum had received amazing care from all of her Safe Harbour carers for over 5 years, she always spoke highly and very fondly of them. They made our family's lives easier and we knew that mum was looked after so well. Sadly mum passed away recently but was happy to have stayed in her own home. This was
primarily down to her care from Safe Harbour. Thank you.

The Safe Harbour carers really took the time to get to know my auntie, who is elderly with server learning difficulties. They encouraged her to help with domestic tasks, like helping make her lunch and to continue her independence at home as much as possible. My auntie couldn't wait to see her carers
each day, and they became her family. An amazing team, thank you for always being so caring and understanding.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Safe Harbour Homecare Ltd is based on 8 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.8

In my role as the Registered Manager, I am committed to upholding the highest standards of care and compliance for our service. This includes ensuring that our team members receive continuous training, regular supervision, and spot checks to maintain their proficiency and confidence in providing care. My aim is to cultivate a supportive culture among our care staff, where they can reach out anytime to discuss issues, fostering an environment of open communication and collaboration.

I am dedicated to ensuring that our service users receive exceptional care by regularly updating their risk assessments, maintaining person-centred care plans, and ensuring accurate medication administration documented on MAR charts. Collaboration is key in our field, and I actively liaise with various professionals, including Occupational Therapists, district nurses, hospital discharge teams, and safeguarding teams within adult social care. Assessing new service users, along with involving their family members in discussions about care provision, is essential to tailor our services to their specific needs.

With a career starting in 1995, I have held various roles in the care sector, including Registered Manager, Service Manager, and Care Coordinator. I joined this company in 2021, and part of my responsibilities includes interviewing and guiding new staff through the induction process, ensuring they are well-prepared and confident in their roles.

What matters most to me is that every service user not only receives the best possible care but also feels valued, empowered, and, above all, safe.
