Right at Home (Medway) is a provider of home care services to enable adults and elderly people to live at home as independently, and as long as possible in their own homes. A wide range of services are offered as follows:

   - Personal Care

   - Live in Care

   - Dementia assistance

   - Hospital to home assistance

   - Palliative care

   - Companionship

   - Medication assistance

   - Meal preparation

   - Long and short term services

   - Any much more...

This provider operates a 'No Stranger Policy', which means that CareGivers are introduced to each Client before any care is ever given.

Right at Home (Medway) CareGivers offer a discreet service, therefore do not wear uniforms.

Their preferred minimum care visit is one hour, and staff travel in their own time, not the client's. This allows staff to listen to clients and get to know them well, to complete tasks properly and to observe any changes in their health or well-being at an early stage.

Very good care and extremely helpful when extra care is needed, as and when. When a problem with mum occurred they helped by having a carer stay for more hours to look after her.

I have carers three times a week to assist with my morning routine post-stroke. I have always been treated with dignity and respect and look forward to the cheery conversations I have with the small team of carers and their encouragement for my continuing recovery. The team have been quick to respond
to any additional requests for care and make sure that I am happy with the choice of care. I highly recommend the services of Right at Home.

My mum is a new client to Right At Home and started receiving care recently.
The carers visit twice per day and are simply lovely with mum. I have noticed such a positive change to my mum's attitude, she’s much happier and definitely benefits from the experience and professionalism of your well trained
staff. There is a way that mature people should be approached with, dignity and respect. Many older people still want to hold on to their independence and find it hard to let go and take help. My mum is a recent widow and is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and finds it hard to receive help and acceptance with her condition. Gaining her trust and giving her respect is so important and the carers have done just that, they have really made such a difference and early progress in bringing my mum around to being more sociable. Your carers are superb and have been punctual and polite throughout the commencement of care taken over from mum’s initial provider.
Thank-you.

Right at Home has provided care for my elderly mother for the past three years. During this time they have always been punctual and totally professional. The quality of care that they have provided has been of the highest quality. The staff are all supportive and have treated my mother as if she were
one of their own. What more can I say except thank you so much for a good job well done.

Prior to the commencement of care from Right at Home, my mother, who is quite disabled, was very unwell both physically and emotionally. Unfortunately, a previous substandard care service only served to exacerbate her symptoms further and left her very despondent. As a result, she was apprehensive to
engage with another care service and felt like she was 'a nuisance'. However, Right at Home put her at ease from the outset and made her feel important by ensuring that all her needs were met to a high standard. In addition, all the staff have engaged with her and on the occasions that I have been present, I have heard much conversation and laughter, which I feel is essential, particularly when you are supporting someone with their personal care needs. It has been so heartening to witness my amazing mum so happy again. In the six weeks that Right at Home have been supporting her, my mum has got her dignity back. In her own words, 'I love all the girls, and I think they like me too' Thank you for your excellent service

Right at Home provided daily support for my late father until he eventually was not well enough to live in his home.
Their help enabled him to remain in his home which he loved
I would highly recommend their services, their support was extremely flexible and on many occasions, at short notice, we
were able to adjust the level of help.
I thank them for everything Grantley and his team did for my father.

Right at Home carers are efficient, effective, and empathetic. They got to know my uncle as a person, not just a client. There was a real feeling of connection. The management responded promptly to any concerns we had and when it was suddenly needed increased the level of care as quickly as possible.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to praise the members of "Right at Home" family team. The ethos of kindness, respect, care and love that each member give to their service users is second to none. I have experience with other "carers" and feel that this company should be held as "best practice".
Each member of staff give their clients excellent care, compassion, encouragement and remember to listen.

Thank you sincerely for your heartfelt gratitude relating to our care services. We appreciate you taking the time to write this kind review, and remain grateful for the individual hand-written letters you sent to each of our CareGivers, and management team that were directly involved with your care. It is these things that made serving such a joy, and it never felt like work. Take the greatest of care and stay safe, you know where to find us if ever you need anything more in the future. Kindest regards, Grantley Lynch (MD) and the Right at Home Medway Team.

I would recommend Right at Home Medway to anyone I know who needs personal care. Their care towards my husband who had dementia was exemplary. When my husband was very ill during the COVID-19 pandemic, they came to help and advise me and facilitated his admission to hospital. While he was in the hospital,
the manager would contact me to find out how he was doing. My husband passed away after two weeks. After informing the manager, she offered her sincere condolences. To me this was comforting. I realised that they cared about people and not just for the money. I would recommend it in the future when required.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff for making it possible for my mum to stay in her home as long as possible. Mum was diagnosed with dementia and Right at Home stepped right in and provided a very caring, professional, and organised care plan to keep her safe. Nothing was ever
too much trouble and they were all willing to help and any time, day or night.
Would I recommend them? Most definitely, because they become part of the family and Mum loved them all.

My father received excellent care during the end stage of his life. He was supported by a live-in carer and visiting carers for double-handed care routines. This team treated my father with the highest standards of care, dignity and respect and ensured Dad was always comfortable. They communicated well
as a team, with the family and the NHS. They ensured my father received appropriate support and treatment from the NHS to manage his condition and pain levels. They managed all of this within the COVID guidelines to ensure my father remained safe from the virus. This package of care allowed my father to die peacefully at home supported by his care team, just as he had wished. I will always be indebted to the team for their excellent care.

It might not be the cheapest but you get what you pay for in life, the staff are good, any problems which rarely happen are dealt with sensitively and promptly. The staff are clearly well trained and have a positive attitude to their role and also importantly are not perturbed by any comment that helps
them improve their relationship or role whilst working with the person. It’s an easy relationship with the support and the ‘office’. Professional and with attention to detail. I work with many care providers and standards vary, so finding the agency was a huge relief where we can trust that the care for mum is as if we are doing it ourselves.

Both the Management and care team are all very professional and friendly. Any request or concern is dealt with promptly and sensitively. My Dad who is living with Alzheimer’s was resistant to having help coming in at first but quickly came round to enjoying his morning visits from the lovely ladies
at Right at Home who provided essential help with his personal care needs and the companionship he was missing. I felt happy in the knowledge that Dad was up, dressed, fed and set up for the day whilst I went to work. Unfortunately, my Dad’s condition has now progressed to the stage where he has had to go into full-time care but I recommend Right at Home for anyone who finds their loved one needs some help coming in whilst they are still able to live in their own home.

I was very unsure about having carers to look after mum but from the first meeting with Right at Home they were very friendly towards mum and she gelled with each carer that came to meet her before commencing. My sister, myself and mum feel we have been very lucky to have such caring staff looking after
mum they all give exceptional care and give myself and sister peace of mind that mum is in good hands. Thank you.

I contacted Right at Home after needing some help with my mum who has dementia after my dad passed away. I chose the company based on the fact they were a local family run business, which I liked the sound of. They were always efficient and friendly and sorted mum out with an appropriate carer for my
mum's needs, who had been very resistant to getting outside care in, but got on with her carer very well who always manages to put mum at ease and cheer her up when she’s low.

My mum was in a really depressed position, desperate for reliable, professional and kind care in her home. I had to move her care package because of serious concerns and being very fragile, I was so worried about what to do. From the first moment I spoke to the owner everything changed. This is unlike
any care we’ve ever experienced before, big promises were made and every one was delivered on, plus more. My mum is being supported by delightful people who really do care, and provide her with everything she needs in a professional, polite, caring way. They are so kind, also very well trained, knowledgeable and excellent at what they do.

We have used Right at Home for several months now and cannot fault their service from the caregivers through to the management team. They always communicate regularly to us by telephone, email etc if there are any concerns and go the extra mile by liaising with the GP, district nurse and pharmacy on
our behalf which is fantastic and way beyond their remit. I have no hesitation in recommending Right at Home to anyone that needs good quality care for their loved ones.

I have lived in Medway all my life. I am very close to my family, and I have one daughter. After I left school, I worked for Barclays Bank for many years and had various office admin roles.

When my daughter was a little older, I realised that I had a natural flair for creating and designing cakes. From a hobby, I turned my passion into a business where I created bespoke cakes, anything from Wedding cakes to Birthday cakes and much more. I taught clients (including overseas) how to make and decorate their own cakes.

I also worked in Property where I was a Lettings Manager, but somewhere deep inside I had always felt the need to do something rewarding as this was my natural personality. This is what led me to my current role here at Right at Home Medway.

I began as a CareGiver and did all types of care, even doing a little emergency live-in care along the way. I have seen many aspects of the business and am the longest-serving member of the team. I worked my way up and I am now the Recruitment Coordinator.

I am so glad I made the move into care where I feel… well Right at home!

Further to my studies, my qualifications include an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and another NVQ Level 3 in Specialist Dementia Care.

I have lived in Medway all my life. I attended Rainham School for Girls, and at 16 I left there to start a YTS scheme at British Home Stores where I stayed for 8 years working my way up to Cash Office Manager. I then went to work at the AA (Automobile Association) part-time due to having had my first child. I started off as Call Handler working my way up to Resource Planner Assistant. I stayed there for over 10 years until it closed and I was made redundant.

By this time I had had my family and was blessed with a daughter and 2 sons. I took up Karate with my husband and 2 youngest children. I graded up to Black Belt 2nd Dan, we then went on an instructor’s course. When my youngest was 3 we opened up our own club situated in Black Lions and then in 2009 we had the opportunity to have our own premises where I still am now at Anchorians Sports Grounds in Gillingham. We received Sports England funding so were able to have a bigger place. So I now have a gym as well as a Kickboxing / Boxing club.

Being forced to close due to Covid I looked for work. A friend already working for Right at Home told me they were recruiting, I applied and fortunately got the job which has been such a lifeline for me. Not only have I made some lovely new friends, and met the loveliest clients and I have found such a rewarding job. I was promoted to Senior CareGiver and now I am working in the office assisting the Training Manager and also as a Care Coordinator.

I still run the gym with my eldest son but found working here so rewarding that I have decided to continue my journey here and support my son in running our club.

My hobbies if I get 5 minutes are going to Cinema with my children. We do love a Marvel films, I also enjoy reading and listening to music. But the best times ever are being surrounded by my family, especially now all older it makes those times even more special. Over the next few years, I would also like to travel if I can.
