The UK is going through a care crisis, funds are diminishing and NHS beds are scarce and Senior Moments Care have come up with a solution to help alleviate this problem within the Fylde Area.

The aim is to offer flexible care and daily respite seven days a week to those who need that extra help to remain at their own home.

It can offer help for those who have a family member living with dementia, or those needing an extra hand to maintain their independence and stay in their own homes.

As it stands, many families reach a point where they cannot cope any longer and consider placing their loved ones in a care home. This has the effect of tearing families apart and placing considerable strain on their emotions and finances.

With a viable and cost-effective solution, families have more time together to live as a family unit and reduce the time they spend apart.

The solution starts with a flexible care package based on the client's needs.

Families can choose the amount of care required on a daily/hourly basis. Care visits can be extended or reduced. They also offer Daytime Support in their Accredited Day Centre, open 6 days a week.

Senior Moments have changed my life, as well as my partners. Their daily care takes a step further, not only dealing with dementia but giving support to the family. I would recommend them without a doubt. Well done, the hub!

A variety of activities tailored to people's needs and preferences is available at the hub. Its always delivered with enthusiasm by the staff and encourages participation. Its like a club. Its noticeable that social skills improve greatly among the clients when they start to attend regularly. Great
effort goes into getting to know them personally. It is run by a dedicated team of friendly professionals who care. Days out feature regularly. There is nothing institutionalised about Senior Moments Care. They have a refreshing approach to dementia and extend their care and concern to family members of clients.

Home care has provided daily care for my mother-in-law for almost a year now, and the service and care provided has been excellent. We started using them at the beginning of the lockdown in March 2020, and from the moment I made the call, they reassured me, and I instantly knew I’d found the right service
for my mother-in-law.
Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and the team have been available to help in emergencies and have always been at the end of the phone to offer help and advice. The service is modern for those on the go, enabling you to communicate through an app too, it works perfectly and caters for those who want to leave a quick message for the daily carers to pick up. I cannot fault the service they have provided in the last year.
They are a professional company, and I would highly recommend them if anyone is looking for care for their loved ones. 5-star quality service.

Thank you for all you have done for us.

I cannot put into words how incredible Senior Moments Care is. I feel extremely lucky and grateful to have found them. My gran has both daycare and home care from Moments, and they've changed both our lives; I no longer worry constantly over whether she is being taken care of properly because she is
always so happy and looks so good. Every single staff member is so dedicated and goes above and beyond to make their clients lives happy, safe and secure. When granny first started attending the daycare, she was in a terrible state, not being properly cared for from carers given to her by social services, her memory was deteriorating fast, and my once sociable, bubbly granny seemed all but gone. I felt hopeless, but within months, Moments have brought her back to life, and I feel like I have my gran again. I will never be able to thank the staff enough for their hard work. Anything I need, they just take care of, and this week, they've even moved her into her new home!

The care that my mum receives surpasses anything I could ever have imagined. She is treated with the utmost respect and her dignity is respected fully. Nothing is too much trouble for my family. I have rung when mum has had a toileting incident and very promptly usually 10-15 minutes help arrives and
makes mum comfortable, clean and cared for. Even when I've needed advice I have rung and been helped and advised in a totally professional manner. They are outstanding in everything the word "care" means. If you need care this is the company for you.

Senior Moments Care go above and beyond to keep my independence even though I am wheelchair-bound. What little mobility I have left they relieve the stress of looking after me from my family so enhancing family life. They encourage me to keep my mobility going and are exceptional in caring for my welfare
and meet all my needs when they are with me, making it easier for my wife to care for me the rest of the day. There is continuity of care which is important for my wellbeing and they are constantly in touch with one another organising my needs. They are discreet and conscientious, caring, tidy, trustworthy, diligent and good company. Nothing is too much trouble and I am eternally grateful.

As a family we only have praise for the wonderful care given to our parents by Senior Moments. Mum and Dad's lives have improved massively with the help and care given by the team. All the carers are great and are very supportive, but the policy to try and keep the same carers looking after them means
they have got to know our parents well and Mum and Dad are comfortable and have enjoyed getting to know them.

One of the most positive comments I would wish to make is with regards to the responses to my concerns. Senior staff have always listened to my concerns and have made every effort to accommodate me in relation to the care and support of my mother. There appears to be an emphasis on teamwork; passing
on information, good communication, the latter has shown a marked improvement. It is my opinion when staff are working, independently in someone's home that they must have great integrity and a high standard of training.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.981 for Senior Moments Care is calculated as follows: ( (51 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 52 Ratings = 4.981

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Senior Moments Care is based on 9 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.9

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

From the age of 5, I have always wanted to look after people. As you will imagine I have worked for many companies over 39 years, but I have finally found a company in Senior Moments that believes in the same things I do. They don’t make excuses for things they just get them done with the utmost dignity and respect for clients wishes, they also have a very supportive team including all the management (don’t often get to say that!) Thank you for letting me be part of something very special.
