Eaton Home Care is a dedicated, Nurse-Led private care-at-home provider, offering a range of round-the-clock, tailored services for adults. The services include visiting care (from just 30 minutes), 24-hour live-in support, overnight visits, and companionship care.

Eaton covers East Cambridgeshire, Cambridge City, South Cambridgeshire, and North Hertfordshire.

Eaton recognises a need for a service that is tailored completely around the individual, providing care which supports them at home. After all, freedom and self-sufficiency are crucial parts of maintaining mental and emotional health in older people and remaining at home allows clients to retain their independence.

At Eaton, they never forget that home is where people feel safe and secure, and for good reason. Of the many benefits of ageing at home, one of the most important is that living independently at home continues to be a safe and healthy option for those they care for.

Care staff have made a huge difference to my mother since receiving care from Eaton over the last year. The manager and the office team from the outset have ensured that we are kept informed of my mothers wellbeing. The care that has been provided by the care workers has helped my mother regain her
confidence again. Nothing is too much trouble and the care staff are so interested in my mum when they visit. We often need to make changes to the visits and the Eaton team are always really helpful. I would highly recommend this service.

I saw lots of different carers, men and ladies, all of whom were extremely difficult. They oversaw my exercises when requested and were totally friendly and helpful. Because each one was so interesting to talk to, I looked forward to their visits. The carers routinely asked about needing to issue pills
etc but this was covered by my wife.

We have struck lucky with the main carer who visits our 92-year-old Mum most mornings. She is mature, gentle and kind. Has common sense. We trust her. It is easy to communicate with Eaton Bespoke; they listen, respond and adapt. Recently a manager has visited us to quickly put in place procedures so
Mum can, for instance, be taken out for a walk to the shop, fab! Previously had a different care company, but we were never sure who was coming - different person each time. Eaton Bespoke is far more consistent.

Generally, service by carers is very good. Communication via the office regarding lateness or even a summary of carer's name and time of visit would have been beneficial.

Eaton are providing a satisfactory service. A continuing problem, however, is the carers arriving too early to prepare lunch, eg. today at 11.00 am. I understand the time slot is 11.30 - 12.00 so lunch would be served nearer to 12.00.
11.00 - 11.30 is not acceptable and has been a continuing problem.

Thank you for your review, l have looked at the system and can see that over the last 3 months 92% of lunch calls have been delivered at 11:30 in line with your requested time. I am sorry that on 7 occasions within the last 84 lunch visits the call was delivered within 15 mins earlier of the scheduled start time. I am happy that you have confirmed this has improved over the last month and as discussed, we are happy to set up access to the carer's electronic tagging system so that you can see when your Mother has had her visit.

From our very first contact with this company we were made to feel confident with the support being provided.
A lot of time and attention to detail was put into the care package for Mum to ensure that it covered all of her needs.
Every member of staff within the company has been very polite and easy
to deal with, from our very first meeting to arrange care, right through to the daily care team.
The daily care team are always very thorough and caring towards Mum and we are always notified of any concerns they may have.
We feel that Eaton Bespoke is very willing to work with us regarding any changes required to the plan, to ensure the package is always correct for Mum.
We are very happy with the service we receive from Eaton Bespoke and have already recommended them to a friend also looking for a care provider.

Those attending my mum, (who was skeptical of care, from what she had heard through the grapevine) have been caring, professional, punctual and delightful. It has been an eye-opener for us. (Mum is 88 years old had a broken femur.)

All the staff have been very caring, considerate and patient when aiding my husband who has Parkinson's. They have been very understanding with the issues we have faced since he left hospital and have done everything possible to help improve our position.

All the carers, male and female, have been caring, efficient, respectful, honest and patient, without exception. We're so grateful to you all for helping him recover from his fall and with our bereavement in June 2020. All the carers are assertive and safety conscious so he's been safe with carers and
they've advised him on what's safe for him to do using the health professionals' knowledge and advice. They're patient with his chatter and he's cheered up by them and their encouragements. Thank you so much from both of us. Best wishes.

Every staff member has been polite, helpful and treats me with dignity. I never expected to have to use this service but after my car crash, it has been a necessary service which we are very grateful to have. Sadly a catalogue of errors, including carers leaving earlier than their paid time, carers not being trained to deal with the specific needs of my father, poor hygiene protocol, rudeness, one carer tutting throughout their shift, one carer attending 1.5 hours late for morning appointment causing great
anxiety to both my father and mother, carelessness, promises from Management never fulfilled. After 2.5 months Management finally realised that there was no care plan in place! But by far the worst offence was the evening carer leaving the front door to my parents' home wide open after the evening shift at 9pm. It was by sheer chance that my mother noticed. It's unthinkable what could have resulted from my mother not noticing - burglary to the property and/or harm to my parents. This was the final straw, having had cause to complain to the management on an almost weekly basis. There were two excellent carers, the others were just mediocre or poor.

We have completed thorough investigations into your claims, many of which we have responded to previously. In conclusion, we have not found evidence to support your allegations, many of which we believe are factually incorrect. Unfortunately, a higher number of carers than we would normally allocate attended the calls to your relative, due to your refusal to allow several of our staff to attend. As such, we informed you that we could no longer guarantee the time of our calls, as we were sending carers from different areas. On the occasion you refer to, you received a call, apologising that the carer would be late. Please note that all carers who attended calls received all mandatory training, in line with Skills for Care guidance and were assessed as competent. We wish you well in finding care for your relative in the future.

On Tuesday 29th September, a member of the team left a voicemail on my phone at 2.01pm.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get that message until much later.
In the meantime, I got a surprise telephone call from a completely new care provider, stating that they were taking over my care from that evening, namely
29th September.
It’s a total disgrace to treat people like that - absolutely no proper notice - and no handover!
What shabby despicable treatment, that I will now report to the CQC.
It turns out that a subsidiary gave “Notice” to NHS (who also didn’t notify me of the notice).
I have not been given any explanation for this sudden change.
I find it astonishing that any care organisations can get away with treating clients in this way.

We have investigated and spoken to the NHS and they also acknowledge that the process could have been improved on this occasion to ensure you were advised in advance that your support was being amended. I understand that this has caused you some distress due to the speed of the process and both the NHS and ourselves as a provider has taken learnings from this experience. We are pleased that you were happy with the care provided and appreciated all the efforts we made to ensure a small team of carers were allocated to support you. We are sorry that we are currently unable to meet your request to return to our service however we will inform you should this situation change.

Caroline has been a qualified Nurse since 2001 and has gained a wealth of experience across the NHS and private sectors working in both clinical and managerial roles.


Caroline is a detail-orientated person who is highly driven to ensure that we deliver a quality service to our clients which includes ensuring that care workers are trained to the highest standard.


In her role as Director of Operations, Caroline oversees the clinical governance and standards of care provided. She works closely with the Registered Manager to ensure that we meet the highest standard of care. Caroline’s role develops and implements operational strategies, taking responsibility for the management, overall quality and efficiency of the business. Caroline supports the team to implement best practice strategies to ensure that the service is consistently developing.

Lucy will prepare meals for clients, do household chores, perform any personal care or administer medication as required, leaving them sitting comfortably with drinks or preparing them for bed before setting off for home. Throughout the shift, she enjoys the lovely chats she has with her clients and how they fill her in on what’s going on in their lives and any worries or issues they may have.
