The Review Score of 9.7 (9.730) out of 10 for Helping Hands Home Care (Watford) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.830 for Helping Hands Home Care (Watford) is calculated as follows: ( (44 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 53 Ratings = 4.83
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)
The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Helping Hands Home Care (Watford) is based on 9 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.9
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Branch Care Manager
About me
I am the Branch Care Manager for Helping Hands in Watford.
I have worked in the care industry for over 7 years. My skill set to manage an effective team developed through working in different sectors of care.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym to keep active, and reading books that challenge me to use critical thinking, along with stimulating my mind, enhancing my vocabulary and seeing things from a different perspective.
Experience and expertise
I have worked within the NHS, in domiciliary care, and in a residential care setting.
I have experience with liaising with multidisciplinary teams to provide the best care to our customers such as; local authorities, social workers, GPS and pharmacists.
I hold a level 5 diploma in Social & Community Work, along with other relevant qualifications.
I live by the motto “it’s not what we say to others, it’s how we make them feel".
Why I chose Helping Hands
I chose to help hands because they are built on kindness. I also like that they are very keen on supporting self-development & promoting internally. I enjoy knowing that we are out in the community making a positive impact on our customers' lives.
