My father is 96, recently bereaved, has macular degeneration and no short-term memory retention. He was rather frail after a period in hospital and often lonely. After contacting Home Instead the wheels were set immediately in motion to identify my father's care and especially companionship needs, perform
a risk assessment and identify CareGivers well-matched to his needs and interests. As I live some distance away this instantly removed a great deal of anxiety about how I could support him. All I had to do was say yes! The ethos of the Company is all about spending quality time listening to and talking with the client; at the same time they wash and dress him, prepare his meals and keep his house in immaculate condition: cleaner than it has been in the past 35 years: all the while keeping him company treating him like a beloved and respected member of the family and dear friend. He tells me every day that they are wonderful and the best possible thing that has happened. Thank you!

I am happy with this company, as have helped me by using a member of staff, which is a companion for my husband to let me have some free time out of our home as I am a full-time carer to my husband. Brilliant.

My dad was nervous at first, having strangers in the house but the girls were brilliant at putting dad first, listening to him and within a few days he was looking forward to their visits. The organisation was clear and efficient but friendly.

At the age of 88 and recently had a fall and broke my right hip. Om my return home from the hospital, I realised I needed some extra support. Contacted Home Instead arranged a meeting and became one of their clients. I'm very impressed with the carers they have provided. She has helped me regain my
confidence as I live on my own, I look forward to her twice-weekly visits. I would, therefore, recommend this fully as they're cost-effective.

The years are taking their toll and I felt I needed some support when using the shower. I wanted to introduce myself to the company before my needs became more pressing and I liked the fact that they were offering a minimum 1 hour's attention which I much prefer to someone rushing in for 15 minutes
or so. So much better than a rushed visit.

We were recommended Home Instead and from the first phone call, we felt we were in safe, caring hands. Although we did not expect the first caregiver to be 'the one', we were delighted that it just worked out so easily.
