I can not thank this company enough.
They were extremely accommodating when I needed a short notice care package for my dad who had come out of hospital and I was not coping with the amount of care he needed.
The package was put in place extremely quickly and everybody that I have had dealings with
has been kind and compassionate with no judgement at all. I would particularly like to point out a carer who formed an instant bond with my dad and made a very independent man feel at ease with the sudden amount of care that he needed.

I really can't praise the team at Hone Instead enough. They have provided an absolutely excellent service. Everyone on the end of the phone is so kind, friendly and helpful. The manager, has been so incredibly helpful and responsive. We had a bit of an urgent situation and she sorted things out for
us practically overnight. Her assessment visit was so personable and gentle, instantly putting my mum at ease. And the carer for my dad, is absolutely wonderful. She felt like a member of the family, from day 1. She supports my dad with such kindness and compassion and he really loves the time she spends with him. I really could not be more happy with the service and would highly recommend it.

After a difficult year with Dad due to poor health and a declining memory we finally feel that life is near normal again thanks to the help and support of the team at Home Instead. Dad, understandably, has been resistant to any kind of change and we have tried everything, it's been a real emotional
roller coaster. It was important that Dad was at the center of all decisions and we didn't want him to feel that he had lost control of his life. Being in his own home was key but we had to ensure he was safe. Home Instead gave lots of advice to put things in place at home and introduced themselves gently into Dad's daily routine. He looks forward to the team arriving now and the weight off of our shoulders is huge. We now get to spend enjoyable time with Dad again.
The team are available 24/7 and I never wait more than 5 minutes for a response to an email. They are very flexible and have been super patient with some initial difficulties with Dad.

At 84 years of age, I did not feel old enough to need even part-time carers, but as memory problems developed, my family urged me to take a few hours of help, and it is the best advice I have ever received.
I read a full page advert on your organization, and without considering anyone else, I called
up the office.
Spoke with the manager, who came across with such warmth and caring that I immediately made an appointment for her to visit.
Seven days later, my first Companion visited and we bonded immediately, I had been sent absolutely the perfect Companion.
As time goes on, I know I can add more hours to my visits, and after just 2 visits, I have already added a further hour.
I know I have made the right choice.
The Manager has made a few visits, and it is so pleasurable to be in her company and if there ever were a problem, I feel confident she would be able to solve it for me.

My wife and I both had health problems recently and needed a little help at home for a while. I am so pleased I chose Home Instead to help us out - all the staff we have encountered have been absolutely fantastic and adaptable in helping us cope in all sorts of ways from general domestic stuff to cooking
and helping with the cats. Their timekeeping has been excellent and they all had a positive can-do attitude. We would not hesitate to recommend them and indeed to use them again ourselves should the need arise. Thanks also to one of the staff for putting things in place so quickly. We are very grateful indeed.

My dad wanted to remain in his house and did not want to go into a care home. The manager and the wonderful team helped Dad to fulfil his wish until he sadly passed in March 2024.
It was only a short period of time with Home Instead for my Dad, but the team were so good that I am now using another
branch within the group to look after my 100-year-old aunt who despite spending some time in Hospital in March is doing so well with the excellent carers.

Thanks to the continuing care and support of Home Instead Cuffley, my aunt was able to stay in her own home for a considerable length of time that would have otherwise been impossible without them.
She built up a wonderful relationship with many of her carers as her dementia progressed and her needs
increased rapidly.
It was abundantly clear that she felt safe and happy as her body language was always so positive around her assigned carers. It was not easy ensuring my aunt's needs were met, but the Home Instead care staff went over and above what they were paid for to ensure my aunt was settled and her anxiety levels had returned to normal prior to leaving her, especially when she fell which was very often before we had to move her to a Care Home.
From a personal perspective, I was relieved to see my aunt was in good hands and that communication between care staff and the office team was sufficiently seamless to reassure me of high levels and continuity of care.
Thank you everyone.

My son has had the pleasure of using Home Instead for January. The main carer in that short time has been so good with him and especially formed a bond with him. My son also trusts three members of staff in particular to understand him and also be very patient. It takes a lot of skill to be a carer
and the three of them have a special gift.
A member of staff at the agency I find understanding of my son's needs and if you are considering going to an agency this is the one to choose.

We were recommended Home Instead by a friend of the family and have been very happy with the services received to date. The team are supportive, friendly and reactive to my parent's needs. My parents are not only pleased to receive their assistance but enjoy the company and interaction that they provide
during their visits too. Thank you.

My father-in-law and his family have been very happy with the care provided by the Harlow team over the past several months. In particular, he has regular carers so he doesn't have to continually build up a trusting relationship with new people and his regular carers know him and his needs very well.
His carers continually show great patience and compassion towards him which is hugely reassuring for his family. Thank you.

Home Instead (Cuffley, Cheshunt & Harlow) helped me to look after my Dad in the last year of his life. We were very fortunate to have found this team. The carers were kind, reliable and professional at all times, and Dad always looked forward to their visits. Dad enjoyed companionship and lots of laughter
with his carers, which he loved. Dad was cared for with dignity and respect in his final year which we will always be grateful for. Thank you to everyone at Home Instead.

I cannot express enough how amazing Home Instead have been in looking after my mum. We changed carers in September 2022, and honestly do not know why we didn't change sooner - there is no comparison. From the initial meeting, they put our minds at rest and have really made Mum feel comfortable and valued,
and her carers have become genuine friends who she really looks forward to seeing every day. I have even been away for a couple of short breaks and know that she will be totally looked after while I am away and that everything will be covered. I can always rely on them. It's the kindness that the carers show that really stands out - as if she were one of their family. I would not hesitate in recommending Home Instead to anyone. Thank you!

My Dad has recently passed away and I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all of the Home Instead team from the caregivers to the admin team, nothing was ever too much trouble for them all. My Dad had carers for several years and they became friends to him, he looked forward to their visits
and enjoyed the fact that they were on time, he knew who was coming and the fact that they stayed an hour meant that they had time to chat, joke, do word puzzles with him, collect his prescription, water the garden cooking, washing etc. This was a complete turnaround from when he first had to have care and he was very reluctant to have strangers in his house, and so I am writing this review to reassure others in the same situation. From my perspective, it was comforting to know that Dad was so happy with his care team and when I had to cancel/re-install care due to hospital stays nothing was too much trouble when I contacted the office. So a big heartfelt thank you to you all.

I would just like to say how very pleased l am with Home Instead care for my mother. The care staff are excellent and always keep me informed. My mother was discharged from hospital at very short notice after a fall and trying to sort out a care home for respite care and a care package from hospital
which wasn't going well and I seemed to be going round in circles. I contacted Home Instead to a very friendly voice who listened to what I required and within hours had come back to me with a full care plan for my mum, which was no mean feat on a bank holiday weekend, I really can't thank them enough.

I cannot thank the carers enough for looking after my mum for just over the last year. They spent quality time with her, chatting, playing cards and even bringing a fan round when it was warm, as well as doing the things that absolutely had to be done. They even visited Mum when she moved to her care
home, to help her settle in. Thank you to the whole team for your support, it has been very much appreciated.

Lockdown isolation definitely had a negative impact on Mum and meant her usual social contacts all but disappeared. Displaying more than a few signs of age-related dementia but still an iron will that nothing was wrong, we contacted Home Instead to provide companion visits twice a week for some social
interaction. Mum has readily accepted her lovely new “friend” and happily chats away. Home Instead we’re so helpful and professional. It’s very reassuring to know that Mum is getting (and enjoying) regular visits in between our own family visits.

We cannot recommend this company highly enough. Following a bad experience with a previous company, we were apprehensive about finding an alternative Company. Right from the very first interview, we were very impressed with the content of the care package. We have only been using Home Instead for a
few weeks, but already we have seen a change in our relative. The staff are reliable and so caring and go over and above what is expected of them. We are able to follow a daily diary of the contents of all visits to include times of visits, diet control and activities. A real asset to have the confidence that your loved one is being cared for and they themselves are happy with all aspects of the care programme. If any problems arise, we are contacted immediately to inform us of the problem which is then discussed to find a mutually agreed solution.
A truly professional and reliable care company and we are very grateful to the whole team for the high standard of service they provide.

Really good and caring company, understanding of my needs and understanding of how people want to live in their homes as it can be scary for an elderly person to move out of their homes and also the staff care a lot for the clients and this is obvious.

I contacted Home Instead after my mum had been in hospital for 3 months and was being discharged to live with me for extra support. With my own family and house to run and my own job, Mum needed help with her personal care and daily needs. Home Instead were quick to respond with a Home visit to assess
Mum, get to know her and her needs. The carers were very attentive with my mum even classing one of them like a daughter. If I had any problems, Home Instead were prompt in dealing with them and resolving any issues I had. Mum is now going into a nursing home but I would highly recommend Home Instead as a reliable, caring and supportive service.

The carers who were assigned to help me were very professional, friendly and extremely caring. I feel I have made very good friends. Should I need similar help in the future I would hope to have the same people to look after me, if they are still with Home Instead. Overall, I have been very pleased
with the care given to me.

We are the proud owners of Home Instead Senior Care Cuffley, Cheshunt & Harlow. We feel privileged to be part of such a remarkable network of people who share the same passion and commitment as we do to changing the face of ageing. We strongly believe that as a community it is important to plan for, embrace and view ageing positively as the next chapter.

The most rewarding aspect of our day-to-day roles is getting to know and understand the needs of our local community and seeing the impact we make in the lives of our clients by enabling them to feel empowered and live happy and fulfilled lives in their own homes. We love meeting our clients, hearing about their unique life stories and putting in place a support network to enable them to lead exactly the kind of lives they want to lead.

We understand that finding the highest quality care that is consistent and tailored to your needs can be a challenge. It is something we personally struggled to find when our family was looking for the right care solutions for our grandmother some years ago. This has inspired us to provide the highest quality care possible, whilst at the same time being flexible to each person’s individual needs and desires. This is the type of care that we wished was available when our grandmother most needed it.

As sisters, we understand the importance of family values and working with our clients to achieve their wishes and the wishes of their family. Neena is mum to a two-year-old son. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading and attending events in the local community. In her spare time, Anita enjoys mentoring, travelling, keeping fit and trying out new healthy recipes. Prior to setting-up Home Instead Senior Care, Neena was an employment lawyer for over 10 years helping clients from all walks of life to find positive solutions to complex and often even life-changing situations. Anita worked in the financial services industry.
