In December 2020 we needed extra help looking after Dad at his home following stays in hospital.
We could not have managed the last months without the support we received from Caring Folk.
Dad was very happy with the care he received.
Covid stopped a lot of social interaction, so family and carers
were the main people Dad saw on a daily basis.
As previously mentioned, all Covid protocols were followed and Caring Folk was there to assist when Dad had further stays in hospital and care had to be in place for him to return home.
Sadly, Dad passed away last month.
As a family we just want to say a huge thank you to Caring Folk - we kept to Dad’s wishes and couldn't have done this without you.

When I first needed to look for care for my mum I had no idea where to start as I live in Birmingham. However, from my first contact with Caring Folk, they were prompt and helpful in their response. They maintained phone contact with me whenever necessary and supported my mum in provision of suitable
equipment. I met all the team that visited her and there was not one member of staff I would not have employed myself (I used to run a large district nursing team in the days when they provided a lot more personal care than they do now) and they were all kind, helpful, competent and cheerful. They followed Covid mitigation rules all the time. Without them, I think Mum would have had to leave her home and go into residential care much sooner than she did. I can’t thank them enough for all they did for her and I know, had she allowed them, they would have done more.

We would not hesitate to recommend Caring Folk to other people as we found them to be reliable, flexible and caring. Mum has
now gone in a home but Caring Folk provided a vital service for us as family.

Caring Folk were recommended to me by a client of theirs. Mum was struggling with mobility and confusion and needed assistance in the mornings and evenings for dressing and getting ready for bed. The staff and carers are so really helpful and pleasant, they all make you feel so welcome. Nothing was
too much trouble and Mum enjoyed the conversation as well as the help that was provided.

Excellent service, respectful, very caring and nothing was too much trouble for them to do or help. The morning of my mum's funeral some of the ladies who had cared for my mum and myself turned up to say goodbye to her and pay their respects. This I found very moving and a comfort. Thank you Caring

My husband had home care services when he was ill with a brain tumour up until his death on 12th December 2020. The staff were all lovely and caring and my husband looked forward to their visits. They made me feel supported and reduced the pressure on me as sole carer for him. Would definitely advise
family or friends to use them.

The carers who came to attend to my wife were very good. Very good timekeeping, in spite of uncertainties with traffic and moving between one client and another. In particular, the two who were the main pair brought an excellent balance of cheerfulness and dedicated personal care in a respectful, gentle
and friendly manner. They were responsive to my wife's mood and adjusted the level of care appropriately, managing to cajole her into accepting their help, even when she was was reluctant to be disturbed. I admired the way in which they were able to build a relationship with her and with me, only at the end to cease suddenly at the point of death. That must be hard for them to bear: their compassion and commitment towards the client suddenly ceased.


My contact with the organisers' office sometimes left me uncertain about arrangements. I don't think I received sufficient briefing at the start, and it was difficult for me to be sure of the administrative process and what to expect.

Your staff caring for my husband were pleasant and friendly, doing what my husband was able to cope with. They offered to make me tea so I could have a rest whilst they did their duties. They sent me a sympathy card when my husband passed away; this was a very nice thought and gesture.

From the very first contact to the very last, Caring Folk lived up to their company name and were extremely professional. Firstly they helped us negotiate my father's discharge from hospital and ensure we had an appropriate care package in place. They were then very helpful in stepping up or down the
package as needed.
The carers were always kind and efficient and developed a close relationship with my father. We very much valued their work and the friendships we all developed.

My wife received the best possible care from Caring Folk. Caring Folk only cared for my wife for a short period before she died. Nothing was too much trouble for the people who came to my wife. The company name is so applicable to the service provided. I was so grateful to Caring Folk to see my wife
made 'comfortable' and at ease. She was happy to see the people from Caring Folk come to her. It was a big comfort to me to see my wife so well cared for.

Most of the staff were friendly and competent. They were usually punctual and always turned up. They were extremely caring with my husband and it was a joy to have them in the house. They were willing to do anything asked of them. When my husband passed away it was lovely to receive flowers from his
main carers, which showed what lovely people they were. I would recommend them to anyone.

Caring Folk provided support at home for my mum when she came out of the hospital with late-stage heart failure so it was the end of life care. In the event, mum died within a week but the support provided was fantastic. The staff were very professional and efficient but most importantly they clearly
cared. They were gentle, they spoke to mum, they got that she had a sense of humour and they were very good at explaining things to me. A brilliant service.

Caring Folk provided excellent services for my friend for 15 months. She had dementia and needed support to live independently at home. From my first contact with the manager, I was impressed with her very professional and practical approach. She placed importance on finding the right person to be the
main carer to visit. This carer built up a great relationship with my friend. All the carers who visited were respectful, caring and always very positive. The full range of services was provided including shopping trips and social outings. I also appreciated that the minimum time a visit would be was 30 minutes. This meant that there was always time for a chat. Cancelling a visit did not incur a cost. I found management to be very flexible, accommodating and very supportive to me as a carer. My friend really enjoyed and appreciated the support she received enabling her to stay longer in her own home.

I wanted my terminally ill husband, to stay at home for the last few months of his illness, rather than for him to go into a hospice. Caring Folk allowed this to happen by providing excellent care twice daily for more than two months. Their help included full personal care, getting him washed and dressed,
as well as dealing with all aspects of his incontinence. A couple of times each week they sat with my husband while I went out for a much-needed break. They handled him with great care and tenderness and could not have done more. We were both so grateful to have their help. Without exception, the girls were all wonderful; I could not have coped without them. Every staff member I met was delightful. Always full of kindness, empathy, and professionalism. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I previously deal with a different care provider but found them totally unsatisfactory. Caring Folk are exactly as their name describes, caring folk.
