Job Title: Branch Care Manager
About me
My roles and responsibilities are to oversee the day-to-day running of the branch and to ensure we continue to deliver a high level of service to all.
I was inspired to join the care industry because I saw how other people were making a difference in other people's lives and I knew that was something I wanted to do. I enjoy making people smile and making people's days that little bit brighter.
Helping Hands deliver a high standard of support and all team members consistently show compassion, empathy, and kindness whilst helping others. My team is highly motivated and shows a great understanding of other people's needs.
I have always been a kind and compassionate person and truly found my calling when I joined the care industry. At each opportunity, I visit my grandparents in Norfolk and enjoy spending time with them.
Experience and expertise
I was working as an Administration Assistant in Essex when I was allowed to join a domiciliary care company as an Admin/Recruiter. Within 3 months of being employed, I was promoted to Care Co-ordinator in which my role was to generate carer rotas, manage a small team of carers and visit new clients. After a year within my role, I relocated to Hertfordshire where I found Helping Hands and joined the team, continuing as a Care Co-ordinator. After a year of being a Care coordinator, I was promoted to Registered Branch Manager.
I am currently working through my Level 5 NVQ in Leadership in Care. I have a level 2 diploma in Business Administration and a BTEC Distinction* in Health and Social Care.
I joined the care industry in 2019 and have loved working within the industry ever since. I have completed each role within the office and out in the field during my time in the care industry. I have completed roles such as supervisions, spot checks, and rota generation through to managing service and conducting meetings with governing bodies, such as Safeguarding teams.
Why I chose Helping Hands
I had experience working in a council-funded domiciliary care company and wanted to expand my knowledge throughout the different types of care. I knew Helping Hands were a prestigious care company and I was intrigued by their high-quality service.
I am looking forward to making Letchworth branch the best it can be and actively seeing the difference we can make to other people's lives.
I thoroughly enjoy helping not just our customers but our care team also and I strive to make our best better.
