The carer, Dawn is very respectful, caring and treats us with dignity. There is nothing too much and all the requests of myself and my wife are always done in exactly the way we want them down. I am impressed with Dawn's personality, she makes everything I say of interest and value to her. The management have been equally excellent as they deal with every issue that comes up very quickly, including unexpected medical appointments. Our lives have been enriched, and we have more activities, great company and are much happier. We are very well cared for by Home Instead. We have used Home Instead since April 2024 and the girls have adapted their care as Mums needs have changed. All the girls are very kind, understanding and always aim to give mum the time she needs. They make every effort to understand and get to know what helps and what Mum likes. They report any concerns or changes which can be see straight after the visit on the app. This is very reassuring to her family. Communication via the office is alway prompt and supportive for all of us. All this enables mum to remain safe in her chosen place of care at home.

The Home Instead Dartford team were absolutely outstanding in the care they gave to our lovely mother, who passed away in October. Their compassionate and professional approach enabled us to safely care for her at home, despite the emotional and physical difficulties attached to the changing needs of a patient with advanced dementia.
The team supported us as a family, working with us, without judgement, at every step. The relief of knowing she was being cared for by people we could trust to look after her with patience and kindness was a huge burden lifted.
We sought support at a very difficult time and found Home Instead via the recommendation of a friend. Based on our experience, I also have no hesitation in recommending them.

Home Instead have provided an exemplary service to both my Mum and to me, providing increasing care and support as her health deteriorated. As well as being committed, kind, friendly and caring to Mum, they have been proactive in contacting other care professionals, collecting medication etc to ease the burden on me. The office did all they could to enable Mum to have a team of 4 carers that she could trust and know her needs, and this made a huge difference to her. The communication was faultless and the whole team are so professional and supportive.
I am so grateful for the excellent care they gave Mum and would 100% recommend them to anyone else seeking home care.

Days. My husbands carer arrived on time and gave my husband the very best care. She left at the end leaving my home tidy and clean and husband content. This is the second time i have used Homeinstead and i will definitely use them again. To be able to have a break from my role as carer for my husband is a true gift for which i am extremely grateful.

I have found all staff very helpful, kind and supportive. Nothing is too much trouble. Always ready to listen.

It's a big decision choosing care for a loved one, but the team are hugely competent and caring and we were hugely reassured right from the start. Mum has had a consistent team visiting her who have all been amazing. They supported her (and me!) during my Dad's final months and were just brilliant helping her start to negotiate being on her own. As well as expert practical support they provided great company and gentle encouragement to get out of the house. I have been so grateful for the notes on the app - makes it really easy to keep an eye on things during the working week and keep track of appointments and any concerns etc. Thank you so much !

Mum's care professional couldn't have been better, she was incredibly well matched to mum's requirements and went above and beyond our expectations in providing companionship as well as getting domestic chores done quickly and without any fuss. Her visits lifted my mum's mood and gave her fresh conversation, which was exactly what was needed. We've only stopped the service at the moment because of changes at home, but if circumstances permit, we will not hesitate to return. On a few occasions when Mum's regular care professional was unavailable, a different care professional attended and also provided an excellent service.

With my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (awarded with Distinction), I provide experienced leadership to our wonderful team. These days, I am focusing on my personal health and finding balance through a regular routine of running and jogging.
A Legacy of World-Class Service
My journey began in Nepal and continued through Northern India as the son of an Army officer. This upbringing instilled in me a deep sense of discipline and adaptability. Before founding Home Instead Dartford, I spent 17 years in the luxury hospitality sector. Working alongside legendary chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Chris Galvin, and managing service for prestigious brands like Taj Hotels, I mastered the art of high-standard, person-centred service.
Why We Built Home Instead Dartford
In 2019, Christina and I felt a calling to serve our local community. Following personal experiences with family and friends, we wanted to create a service that made a tangible difference. Most importantly, we wanted to lead by example for our sons. Our philosophy is the ‘Mom/Dad Test’: we only welcome team members into our family whom we would trust to look after our own parents.

Professional Training & Community Safety
I am a certified trainer in several critical areas, including Medication, Baseline Observation, Basic Life Support, Manual Handling, Dementia, and End-of-Life care. I find great fulfilment in leading these sessions in our office to ensure our Care Professionals are the best-equipped in the region.
My commitment to the community also extends beyond our office doors. I regularly host free local sessions on:
Dementia Awareness: Volunteering as a Dementia Friends Ambassador.
Hands-Only CPR: Providing life-saving skills to residents.
Scam Awareness: Helping seniors stay safe from financial fraud.
Personal Life
When I’m not in the office or training the team, I’m usually enjoying time with my family, listening to music, or out on a run. It is a privilege to lead such a diverse and dedicated team that contributes so much to the lives of our clients.

Hi, I am Christina, mom of amazing twin boys, Ram’s wife and one of the owners of Home Instead Dartford.
I have been passionate about looking after others since a fairly young age, from spending a school summer holiday in Guatemala to help build a school, working in an SOS Children’s Village in Africa for three months after I finished school and then spending the next 20+ years looking after guests in hotels all over the world.
It was, however, the experience with my grandmother, a friend of ours and a family member, that was the main contributor for us to start Home Instead Dartford.
Having the option to remain in your own home, with great care and by giving you as much independence as possible, should be the norm for anyone needing support, rather than being moved into residential care straight away.
Our slogan ‘To us, it’s personal’ is very much summarising what Ram and I want to achieve with the support our team provides. From in-depth consultations to get to know the client, to the creation of a bespoke care plan and then regular service reviews and quality assurance checks once a client receives our support – everything we do is person-centred and created for that individual.
At the same time, we support our team in any way possible and ensure they have the right training, tools and supervision to do what they do best: look after our clients with passion and empathy.
Home Instead Dartford is not just a business for us – we want to enhance the lives of everyone we encounter and help ageing adults to enjoy longer, happy times in their own homes.

I’ve worked my way up in different positions within the industry. I started as a carer; I’ve been a Supervisor, Care Coordinator, Compliance & Quality Coordinator and worked up to the position I’m in now, which is Deputy Care Manager.
I previously worked for Home Instead for over 1.5 years and left to follow a different pathway within the care industry which I didn’t enjoy and wasn’t for me. I also missed everyone at Home Instead and the fulfilment I got from working here. I spoke to Ram and Christina after 3 months of leaving about returning, they welcomed me back with open arms along with the office team and Care Pros.
My goals are to succeed in my new role as Deputy Care Manager and to move the business forward to ensure our clients are receiving the best possible care they deserve and to support/mentor the office team, so they work to a good standard and are confident within their roles. Also, the Care Pros are working to a high standard and they gain confidence and knowledge in their professional role and receive a lot of job satisfaction from supporting their clients. Also, for me to gain even more knowledge within my new role and complete any training within it.
Home Instead is a great company to work for, they have high values on how people should be looked after and ethos. Ram and Christina have supported me in every way they can through thick and thin within my professional career and anything else.
