I have been accessing carers for my dad since last autumn. After my mum died, nearly three years ago, demands for caring for my dad on my own became increasingly difficult. A conversation with hospital staff brought me to the attention of Kingsley Care home, and suggested making contact to have support
in caring for my dad in his own home. This all started the process with carers and has dramatically altered both mine and my dad's quality of life. One staff member, from Kingsley, came out and met with me directly: He was extremely understanding in the circumstances and listened well to all my concerns. I cannot find fault at all with either them - their time and attention given to my dad means so much to me: purely for the fact that he likes them and finds them kind, caring and genuinely interested in helping him. That means so much to me and gives me peace of mind to continue living my life with both family and work commitments - improving my relationship as a daughter.

My wife has a very positive view of the Kingsley care service and the carers that provides her help on the three occasions each day. I have a similar view. Each of the carers have quickly understood my wife's needs and when necessary ask me any appropriate questions as to any additional requirements.

We have been using this care company for a few years now and during that time their service has been very client based.
All carers whom have been to attend to my mother and previously my father have been very professional and polite with a deep sense of caring. They have respected her and promoted
her independence when attending to personal care. During her companion visit she developed strong friendships and shared experiences with those carers giving her a sense of purpose.
Secondly I would like to express my gratitude to the staff in the office whom are always there to solve any problems, or concerns I may have to ensure positive experiences for both my mother and us as a family.

We have been using Kingsley Care for some time now and both my mother and I are getting used to it now. We find the people at Waveney Valley very easy to communicate with and any problems we have are usually sorted out very quickly. The only slight issue that we have sometimes is timing but we understand
there is very little the carers can do about that if they have to stay somewhere longer. I like the fact that if any medication is running low we are emailed about it so that something can be done. I really like the service and it is really helping my mother.

We have been absolutely delighted with the help and support that we have received from the team at the Diss branch of Kingsley Home Care.
From the very first phone call to the manager and throughout the following months, my elderly mother has consistently received the kindest, most thoughtful and respectful
care possible.
It is our belief that the outstanding live-in care provided through Kingsley has really helped my mother's recovery from a bad fall.

Without hesitation, I highly recommend using the services of Kingsley Home Care and especially the dedicated team who have provided an outstanding service to my mother. They have been extremely supportive throughout, providing an evolving care plan to meet my Mum's changing needs and their app giving
immediate feedback on visits provides great comfort that Mum is in such capable hands. As for the Care Team themselves - every single one of them is absolutely fantastic - patient, understanding, considerate and so kind-hearted.

Kingsley Home Care stepped in to help my elderly mother following her discharge from hospital in December 2023. Their daily visits gave me huge peace of mind that someone would be there when I couldn't be. All the carers were very kind and thoughtful and willing to do any task.

My mother has been having daily care visits from Kingsley for over a year now. She has got to know the regular carers well and enjoys their visits. It has provided security to my mum and peace of mind for me and my siblings. They go above and beyond and I rate them very highly. Would definitely recommend
them as an agency.

Been an absolutely brilliant experience. My father had a negative view of having a carer and has completely changed his perceptions and can't speak more highly of them now.
The flexibility of what they do on the day according to how my parents are/the variety of things that they are willing to help
with is excellent. And they are all so friendly and chatty, giving them a feeling of a friend popping over as they get to know them.
Can't thank them enough.

I have only been receiving care since 30/05/23 inclusive and since that time I have been well satisfied. The carers have been courteous, punctual and have effectively taken care of my needs in the hourly period there spend with me each morning.

How long have you been in the care industry, and what led you to join Kingsley HomeCare?

I have been in the care industry for 13 years, with the majority of my time spent in domiciliary care. I joined Kingsley because it was a family-run business that looked after all their staff. They had great benefits and I wanted to work with a company in my local area to provide the best care to local clients.

What do you find most rewarding about working in-home care?

Being able to provide short-term, end-of-life care which allows a person to pass awareness peacefully at home rather than in a hospital setting.

What is your vision for the future of this branch and the services it provides?

My vision for the future is for the branch to be even more successful, doubling the amount of hours and eventually covering a wider area so we can provide care to more people, and get the Kingsley name out even further.

What are your hobbies and passions outside of Kingsley?

I enjoy knitting and crochet, or just about anything crafty.

How long have you been in the care industry, and what led you to join Kingsley HomeCare?

I started my care journey 42 years ago. Trained as an EN(M) qualifying at the age of 20 and I was one of the youngest enrolled nurses working in an acute psychiatric hospital. I specialised and worked with advanced dementia before moving into the addiction unit. I then went on to complete my conversion course and qualified as an RGN specialising in the bleed unit. I then burnt out with the NHS and moved into Social care working as a deputy manager and then a home’s manager in a nursing home 25 years ago. I have worked with charities, social housing and finally Kingsley Healthcare. Started as a registered manager at Colne House before progressing to a Peripatetic Manager supporting homes without a manager and ensuring they were CQC-ready. Moved on to Operations manager before being offered the Regional Operations Director in 2019.

A short break from work in early 2024 before returning to my current role.

What do you find most rewarding about working in-home care?

Supporting people to live as independently as they can in their own homes. When this is no longer possible being able to support and offer live-in care or moving into one of our homes

What is your vision for the future of this branch and the services it provides?

My vision is to see Kingsley Homecare grow in not only the three areas that we currently cover but nationwide. I want us to be the provider of choice.

What are your hobbies and passions outside of Kingsley?

I enjoy good food and wine, visiting the gym, walking my dog along the beautiful Lowestoft coastline, upcycling old furniture and knitting in front of my fire on the cold winter nights.

What do you find most rewarding about working in-home care?

I'm really proud of the exceptional level of care our carers give - it fills me with immense pride.

What is your vision for the future of this branch and the services it provides?
