I have been in the care industry for 13 years, with the majority of my time spent in domiciliary care. I joined Kingsley because it was a family-run business that looked after all their staff. They had great benefits and I wanted to work with a company in my local area to provide the best care to local clients.
What do you find most rewarding about working in-home care?
Being able to provide short-term, end-of-life care which allows a person to pass awareness peacefully at home rather than in a hospital setting.
What is your vision for the future of this branch and the services it provides?
My vision for the future is for the branch to be even more successful, doubling the amount of hours and eventually covering a wider area so we can provide care to more people, and get the Kingsley name out even further.
What are your hobbies and passions outside of Kingsley?
I enjoy knitting and crochet, or just about anything crafty.

How long have you been in the care industry, and what led you to join Kingsley HomeCare?
I started my care journey 42 years ago. Trained as an EN(M) qualifying at the age of 20 and I was one of the youngest enrolled nurses working in an acute psychiatric hospital. I specialised and worked with advanced dementia before moving into the addiction unit. I then went on to complete my conversion course and qualified as an RGN specialising in the bleed unit. I then burnt out with the NHS and moved into Social care working as a deputy manager and then a home’s manager in a nursing home 25 years ago. I have worked with charities, social housing and finally Kingsley Healthcare. Started as a registered manager at Colne House before progressing to a Peripatetic Manager supporting homes without a manager and ensuring they were CQC-ready. Moved on to Operations manager before being offered the Regional Operations Director in 2019.
A short break from work in early 2024 before returning to my current role.
What do you find most rewarding about working in-home care?
Supporting people to live as independently as they can in their own homes. When this is no longer possible being able to support and offer live-in care or moving into one of our homes
What is your vision for the future of this branch and the services it provides?
My vision is to see Kingsley Homecare grow in not only the three areas that we currently cover but nationwide. I want us to be the provider of choice.
What are your hobbies and passions outside of Kingsley?
I enjoy good food and wine, visiting the gym, walking my dog along the beautiful Lowestoft coastline, upcycling old furniture and knitting in front of my fire on the cold winter nights.

How long have you been in the care industry, and what led you to join Kingsley HomeCare?
I joined Kingsley Healthcare as a data analyst in 2020 as part of the finance team shortly after graduating from University in Economics. I've always been interested in healthcare as well as finance, so a role involving the two really interested me. I have since been involved in a new project on the Healthcare side and joined the Kingsley Home Care team to help develop and grow the business to cover more locations and help as many people as we can live safely and comfortably in the comfort of their own homes.
What do you find most rewarding about working in-home care?
I'm really proud of the exceptional level of care our carers give - it fills me with immense pride.
What is your vision for the future of this branch and the services it provides?
My vision is that we eventually become the leading provider of home care in the UK
What are your hobbies and passions outside of Kingsley?
I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with my girlfriend, being outside and watching films & reading.
