I was with Kirsten’s care for over a year but kept having all of these issues.
Staff are very young with no care experience.
Safeguarding issues a major concern putting our own lives at risk.
No communication from the manager so very unprofessional.
If you make a complaint you get written notice
so please be aware.
Some carers don’t respect your own house rubbish/PPE left everywhere.
I always believe if you pay for a service for a certain amount of time you should get that service but not with some carers they kept cutting corners to save time.

Unfortunately, after many challenges and working extensively with Social Services, NHS and Multi-discipline care teams with this client for the last 12 months, it was decided that withdrawing our services in line with our contract was the most appropriate course of action to enable her to be supported by a more specialist service for her needs.
Addressing concerns:
All staff are a range of ages and fully trained for at least 7 days before working solo, our regulators CQC have rated us ‘GOOD’ in this area.
The Manager communicated with this client frequently and was consistently contacted outside of working hours and on her personal mobile.
All Carers work with care and respect leaving clients homes tidy before leaving.
All call times were consistently met as we electronically monitor our carers check-in and out times and location.
We strive to provide an outstanding service to all our clients regardless of the challenges presented to us.

Over the past year, we have received excellent care from Kirsten's Care. The company have gone out of their way to choose the very best staff possible. They treat my mother with kindness and respect. They are patient and spend time listening to what she needs. Their hygiene is also good. I have found
the office to always be ready to help change anything for appointments. They are also there when I have needed to just talk things over with someone concerning my mum. I would like to again say a big thank you for the professional care given. We have previously had care elsewhere and in comparison to your company, it fails to match you on most counts.

This is the first time I have used a care agency. I personally live 2 hours from my mother and with her age and ailments looking after her became very hard. With the Kirsten's Care team, Mum has been looked after really well and I feel very comfortable with her situation now. Mum really enjoys and benefits
from the visits she has and the team go above and beyond to help.

During the last year, my husband and I have been helped by about 8 different carers, all of whom have visited often enough to get to know our home and needs. They have all been willing and able to help in a variety of ways, from showering to hanging out washing, from feeding to bed-making and changing.
Several of them have previous experience in other disciplines and have been willing to use their previous experience to help during the isolation due to COVID.
My only problem has been with timing, as the arrival time for the hour of caring has varied from 10 am to 11 am and the planning for who is to visit next seems to change daily, so that someone will tell me that "X" will arrive at 11 am and, two days later, a different person will arrive at a different time. This makes it difficult to know when to take a shower, after which I need help!

Thank you for your review. Small-time variations are normal due to the nature of working in the community, due to travel considerations and delays at earlier visits in the day. We can arrange a telephone call if your carer is running slightly late in the future.
