My wife has Alzheimer's, and the staff are very kind and caring. They look after her very well. I am very pleased with the care and support they give my wife.

When I leave my husband I feel and know how well looked after he is. The staff are wonderful and the clients are treated with respect which is wonderful. It feels like a lovely warm home and I cannot recommend them highly enough. If all other centres could be like Laurel Homecare Centre how great it
would be for clients. When my husband comes home after his day at Laurel Homecare he is happy and relaxed which is lovely for him and me.

All staff and management are professional yet caring and extremely helpful. Not only do they care for my husband but also give me full support, especially with a challenging illness. My husband thoroughly enjoys his two days week at the Day Centre. He is treated with dignity and a great effort is made
to enable him to partake and enjoy many activities that appeal to him.

My husband attends the Day Centre one day a week for about four to five months. He is picked up and dropped back home. The staff are friendly, competent and my husband appears to have settled and looks forward to going for the day. The staff always tells me how he has got on during the day, and any
concerns they will inform me and visa/versa. They will listen to my concerns I may have and of course, it gives me a day to be able to do lots of things for myself which is greatly appreciated.

My late husband and I have used Laurel Homecare for the past four years and I cannot speak highly enough of them. They go above and beyond and have not only supported me physically but emotionally through some of my darkest days and have truly been my lifesaver.
The staff are second to none and are
a big part of my life and I am so happy that they are supporting me.

Very disappointed with the service and the management of the provision. Communication is poor. There is no clear guidance on what happens if someone they support gets Covid and their policy we were told was not to enter the building if someone has Covid. There are no accessible email addresses on the
website.

I'm not sure if you were looking at the correct website as our website contains our general email address and telephone numbers and also our Covid policy at the footer is accessible for all to see. Our website address is www.laurelhomecare.co.uk. Please be assured that all incidences regarding Covid are dealt with on an individual basis taking into consideration the client's risk rating, our Covid policy, staff safety and current government guidelines. I would like to reassure you that all complaints and concerns are taken seriously by myself and the management team and dealt with according to our policies. I am disappointed to read this review when I have personally responded to your direct complaint to me and we have not yet met to discuss the incident.

I cannot praise Laurel Homecare enough after looking into other places for my husband to go to for day care (he has dementia). When you walk in it has a lovely homely and friendly atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Everything about Laurel Homecare is fantastic. My husband is so content
when I pick him up. I cannot praise them highly enough.
Sorry to repeat myself but its true!.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.390) out of 10 for Laurel Homecare Ltd is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.690 for Laurel Homecare Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (31 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 42 Ratings = 4.69

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Laurel Homecare Ltd is based on 7 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.7

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
