Job Title: Branch Care Manager
About me
I am responsible for delivering person-centred care and ensuring that I have the right people in my team so that this happens. I joined the care industry as it is so rewarding helping as many people as possible to remain independent at home.
I have a great team beside me here in Southampton and I am supported by the whole team at Helping Hands.
In my spare time, I enjoy seeing my children, and my grandchildren, and baking cakes.
Experience and expertise
I have worked in care for the last twenty-two years. I started off in domiciliary care as a walker. I went on to gain experience in a nursing home, and a home for people with learning disabilities.
I worked my way up in all the positions including supervisor, care coordinator, and deputy manager, and have been a registered manager for the last 18 years.
I have gained many qualifications including levels 2 and 3 in social care, level 4 in leadership and management, and then level five in social care.
Why I chose Helping Hands
I joined Helping Hands in November 2021, and I chose Helping Hands as I really liked that the company is owned rather than franchised, and all offices work the same. At Helping Hands they care about people which I really appreciate, and they do not expect offices to grow to massive amounts of hours.
I am looking forward to growing my team in the Southampton area and providing good quality care. I enjoy coming to work and I enjoy working with the whole team at Helping Hands.
