Right at Home Alton and Bordon supports elderly people in Alton, Bordon, Hindhead and surrounding villages to stay living independently in the comfort of their own homes. Clients enjoy the company of a CareGiver from the trusted and well-trained team for either regular homecare visits or full-time live-in care.

For clients living with memory loss or dementia, the support from the team can be especially valuable in improving quality of life.

To ensure the CareGivers have enough time to deliver quality care visits are a minimum of one hour. In order to provide the most personalised support there is a "No Strangers Policy", meaning that any new caregiver is always introduced by someone the client has already met. Care teams are kept as small as is practical so the CareGivers can really build up a relationship with their clients.

We have nothing but praise for the whole team at Right at Home. The level of care, companionship and support goes way beyond what we could ever have dreamed of for our father. This has enabled him to remain in his beloved home for far longer than would have been possible otherwise. The team know dad
extremely well - he and us are made to feel like we're not just another client, but a valued family. Communication is excellent, the visit notes giving us a glimpse of dad's day, flagging any issues and highlighting the moments of joy. When emergencies occur they are handled with compassion and efficiency. If care at home for your loved one is right for them, please don't be afraid to reach out to Right at home. My father has been a client of Right at Home Bordon for part 18 months.
We are very pleased with the support and consideration given by all the carers involved in his twice daily visits.
All have been reliable and punctual as well as unfailingly kind whilst helping him with his disabilities and increasing
frailty.
In an emergency, the team have taken the initiative to deal with the home care aspect of the situation. A big relief for me as we don't live close enough to offer immediate support.
Thank you to everyone as caring sometimes isn't an easy role.

The team at Bordon Right at Home have the knack of matching Care providers to Clients. My mother currently has three Carers, all of which suit my mother's personality and style perfectly. This means the time the Carers have with my mother is genuinely enjoyable for both parties.

Dad has been having carers for over a month now and the level of service and overall delivery has been amazing. He likes all his carers and they are so patient with him and diligent.

We have now had Right at Home helping Mum and Dad for a year. Both the carers are kind, helpful and so respectful of the older generation. They actively listen to my mum whatever the situation which gives her support and comfort.
They help with simple everyday tasks that my parents can no longer cope
with. This gives my parents the independence to still live at home and do the things they enjoy doing. It means I can take my mum away, giving her a break from my dad and I know that he will looked after.

The carers were superb and respectful and gave Dad time to get used to them, taking over everyday matters that he was so used to doing himself - from making cups of tea, preparing his meals, and even personal care. That latter very hard for him to accept that he did need help with this.
He quickly
became trusting of the superb team, and this was down to their skills, patience, and compassion with him, above all they respected his independence and dignity. They gave him time. He enjoyed conversation and the staff quickly adapted to his sense of humor.
I could not fault the level of support they gave our father. No task was too much trouble for them and I would recommend them to others, and have done.
Sadly, our father had to go into residential care, due to other medical conditions which meant he could no longer be cared for at home.
The organisation right from the outset, was efficient, professional, and prompt and the level of care was outstanding.

Right At Home have been looking after my father for just over a year now and the care shown by every member of the team has been outstanding. The care has been exemplary and their recognition of my father’s sense of humour and special ways (and standards!) was just wonderful. The communication with
my mother (who has been his primary carer for some years now) and myself has also been faultless. The extra support given to my mother too has been amazing; relieving her of the more physical aspects of care but also providing her with company and conversation, which has diminished in the home over time due to my father’s condition. The sensitivity and understanding of both their needs is excellent. Thank you all for your dedication and support for my parents, and for easing the load in such a gentle and understanding way.

Nearly 100% of the time the carers arrive on time. Are well presented, very polite, obliging and do the agreed tasks with a smile. All have excellent empathy towards their clients. Normally I do not give excellent reviews, as perfection only exists in utopia. However, Right at Home Alton & Bordon have

The team at Right at Home have been with us since around August/September 2022. The service has always been impeccable. The carers are the backbone of the company and they all go above and beyond for my mother and me. The pressure they have taken off us as a family is immense and we couldn’t be any
more grateful, we have our life back to the best it can be, all because of the care team at Right at Home. I feel I can trust the team to provide care for my mother when I’m not around. I can go to work and leave the team to care for Mum and I 100% trust them, otherwise, I feel I couldn’t go to work. That’s very important to me and they provide the comfort for us to live as close to a normal life as possible.

The staff from Right at Home have gone above and beyond for my dad. They have been a huge help, not only physically with the personal/palliative care, but also compassionately with a lot of support and comfort by doing extra, thoughtful things and giving expert tips and advice that I wouldn't have thought
of. Their communication is excellent, professional yet personal. They were able to start care almost immediately, and I will be forever grateful for all they have done for my dad and our family at a critical time. They have been a huge comfort. Big shout out, in particular, to one member of staff who's been a star and ensured my dad is treated with dignity.

I used this care company during the summer months this year and I was both very impressed and extremely pleased with the care that they provided. The ladies who looked after me each morning were very friendly, considerate and kind and made me feel relaxed. I had never used a care company before so I
was a little hesitant as well as sceptical, but they took away my fears. When faced with a small emergency, they went out of their way to help promptly. I have recommended the care company to others. They are a little more expensive than several other companies but well worth it if you can afford it.

We’ve been using Right at Home for over a year now. The whole family has been very impressed with the level of care provided. They really get to know their clients and consider what their needs might be. They communicate well with me and I feel that they not only listen to my concerns but do their best
to act upon them. My father is always complimentary about each of his carers, I feel that some of them have become more like friends and he really enjoys their company.

Following my stepdad's diagnosis with Parkinson's, my mum was finding it increasingly difficult to manage as a sole carer - tired, anxious and increasingly isolated as she did her best to cope with the uncertainties and ups and downs of the condition.
Having persuaded them to give some additional help
a try, I spoke with a number of agencies before going ahead with Right at Home. For about a year the carer has arrived on a Tuesday morning, providing not only a break for mum but also a change of companion for my stepdad - and he thoroughly enjoys her company. On the occasions she has been unable to visit, she introduces a colleague the week before so it's always a familiar face arriving.
More recently, we've added two overnight visits a week, providing the comfort to both that there is someone on hand if needed but also enabling Mum to get some undisturbed nights. The Right at Home team has been flexible, warm and super efficient in getting this bedded in (pardon the pun) in record time.

Right at Home was recommended to us and we were 100% delighted with the service. We had help for around one year which started as an evening meal visit for our Aunt and Uncle and then latterly it became end of life care at home. The ladies were (are) so professional, attentive, caring and highly skilled.
Their familiar and friendly faces became a source of comfort for us as family members as much as for our terminally ill uncle. They continued to help by visiting our Aunt in order to provide consistency for her and they treated her with such care and respect, having lost her husband of 70years. I really and truly can’t say enough good things about this company and I will recommend it to anyone.

Right at Home looked after my sister in her home in July/August 2021. Firstly they agreed to come out to us, think we live a bit out of the area, when no-one else could. The manager met us immediately and asked really relevant questions so that the team could get to know my sister, what she liked/didn't
and how we would like things to work. There is a no stranger policy so we were always introduced to a new member of staff by a current member who we had already met. Great idea. The girls/ladies were all (without exception) wonderful. They were a support to both my sister and to us as a family. Nothing was too much trouble. They were always there when the schedule said, never late or no shows. When we suddenly needed the care upped from one person twice a day to 2 people 3 times a day this was just actioned as if no issue although I am sure it took a great deal for them to cover and co-ordinate this. They never made it feel that way to us. I cannot speak highly enough of the care we received.

Liz leads both Marketing and Recruitment, bringing a wealth of experience to the table. Liz is actively involved in the community, whether at recruitment fairs, organising events at HQ, or participating in local community gatherings to promote Right at Home and represent the company with a friendly face. Can you share a bit about your background and what you did prior to joining Right at Home?
I have worked in a marketing role for 20 years, the majority of which was in the promotional merchandise industry. Before this I was at university studying Art History!


What inspired you to join Right at Home?
I loved the Right at Home company values which are strongly aligned with my own and that it is a growing company which genuinely wants to do good things for people whether it is the clients, their families or the carers!


What does a typical day look like for you?
I feel like there is no typical day for me! My role is so varied which I love!! I can be doing anything from working with my team on recruitment or marketing strategies to making calls to carers to check in on their well being. I work a lot on our interval and external communications and generally aim to make Right at Home the best place to work for everyone!


What do you enjoy or find most rewarding about your role?
All of it. I love my team and I love seeing carers and clients and when they are happy - I am happy.
