Right at Home Alton and Bordon supports elderly people in Alton, Bordon, Hindhead and surrounding villages to stay living independently in the comfort of their own homes. Clients enjoy the company of a CareGiver from the trusted and well-trained team for either regular homecare visits or full-time live-in care.

For clients living with memory loss or dementia, the support from the team can be especially valuable in improving quality of life.

To ensure the CareGivers have enough time to deliver quality care visits are a minimum of one hour. In order to provide the most personalised support there is a "No Strangers Policy", meaning that any new caregiver is always introduced by someone the client has already met. Care teams are kept as small as is practical so the CareGivers can really build up a relationship with their clients.

We have been so grateful for the ongoing support of Right at Home, Alton & Bordon for my 94-year-old mother who has Alzheimer's. Her carers have all been so lovely and the office has always responded very quickly to any queries or requests for changes to Mum's care plan. As my mother's condition continues
to decline, it's good to know that she is in safe hands on the days that I cannot be with her. I have no hesitation in recommending Right at Home to anyone needing a care package.

I used to take my next-door neighbour shopping and do errands for both herself and her husband. Lack of transport meant I was unable to continue. The carer they have now is very good. She is extremely patient with both of them.

What a fantastic team of carers. They couldn't have done more for my partner. Would definitely recommend Right At Home (Alton & Bordon). We have enjoyed the daily visits of a team of terrific carers since September 2020. The girls have been so caring, affectionate and professional towards both my wife and I, always asking how we are the minute they get inside the door. They have been incredibly punctual during some difficult periods
and have developed a loving relationship with her. An administration issue by the providing authority caused us to have a 3-week break with another company, and the end of the contract saw all the girls and my wife emotionally upset. The contract was renewed and there was a race by the staff to get back to visiting my wife asap. The merriment of the missing three weeks was quickly restored, and their care has been very uplifting for her. The girls are wonderful but the most impressive element as far as I am concerned is their determination to persuade my wife to do her exercises that will give her a much better quality of life in the near future.

I would advise anyone who is a bit hesitant about having care in the house, go for it, it's wonderful! I am a competent ex-businessman with health issues who needed some support. My godfather has been exceptionally happy with the help he has received and his carers have become very valved friends. They go over and above all expectations, being incredibly helpful and kind. This was epitomised recently when Government regulations meant that the prior arrangements for the Christmas
break had to be changed at the last minute. Right at Home efficiently and with huge thoughtfulness ensures that my Godfather was not alone, in fact, he enjoyed a rather spoiling and joyous day. Those responsible for the logistics and administrative side of this care company are very reliable and one can be certain of a quick response to any queries.

My wife can be difficult at times due to her condition. With carers coming twice a week has provided a big improvement in her behaviour (early stages of dementia).
She enjoys her trips to the supermarket with the carer, she has no problem with the care provider and one, in particular, we call our ray
of sunshine as she brightens our day.
Right at Home is a very good service provider and management are also excellent.

My family and I are very happy with the care provided to our 89-year-old mother; who has Alzheimer's. Her carers are very reliable, kind, hard-working and thoughtful. My mother appreciates their daily visits to help with her care and things that need doing around the house, with shopping and cleaning.
They also provide much-needed company. As none of us family members are able to visit during the current crisis, it is hugely reassuring to know that she has such good care. We are much indebted to them for making it possible for our mother to live in her own home as long as possible.

Right at Home visit my mother, who is sometimes very difficult to please, very stubborn and proud. But, they have been going 3 times a week and now we have had to increase to twice a day 7 days a week. Mother is happy, the house is clean, she seems to connect well with the carers that go in to her.
I am very happy with the level of care, the communication is spot on. If there is a change in mother's condition I am made aware straight away. I'd recommend the company without hesitation.

Since joining in 2017, Claire has made a positive impact on the Right at Home team and has become an invaluable member.

Liz leads both Marketing and Recruitment, bringing a wealth of experience to the table. Since joining Right at Home a few years ago, she has become a valued member of the leadership team and an incredible asset to the company. Liz is actively involved in the community, whether at recruitment fairs, organising events at HQ, or participating in local community gatherings to promote Right at Home and represent the company with a friendly face. Her dedication never goes unnoticed, and she is truly the glue that holds her team together.


Can you share a bit about your background and what you did prior to joining Right at Home?
I have worked in a marketing role for 20 years, the majority of which was in the promotional merchandise industry. Before this I was at university studying Art History!


What inspired you to join Right at Home?
I loved the Right at Home company values which are strongly aligned with my own and that it is a growing company which genuinely wants to do good things for people whether it is the clients, their families or the carers!


What does a typical day look like for you?
I feel like there is no typical day for me! My role is so varied which I love!! I can be doing anything from working with my team on recruitment or marketing strategies to making calls to carers to check in on their well being. I work a lot on our interval and external communications and generally aim to make Right at Home the best place to work for everyone!


What do you enjoy or find most rewarding about your role?
All of it. I love my team and I love seeing carers and clients and when they are happy - I am happy.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Find what makes you happy and do more of it
