Home Instead provides personalised home care for older people that is dignified, reliable and relationship-led. They firmly believe that everyone is different so they don’t offer a ready-made package solution but instead, offer help that is tailored to your needs and will adapt as your needs change. They offer companionship, home help, personal care, and dementia care, all with the aim of helping you keep living happily at home.

Home Instead CAREGivers are hand-picked to match the personality of the person they will be visiting. They are selected for their enthusiasm, friendliness, warmth and empathy above their professional background. This is what helps to build a relationship with the person they care for and their family. All CAREGivers undergo extensive background checks and are given high-quality training to give them the confidence, knowledge and skills to care for older people.

When making initial enquiries we wanted to ensure that Home Instead could offer flexible support for Dad, ensuring his independence wasn't taken away but that he received the support he needed and the routines he was familiar with were maintained. Home Instead gave us time to talk through our queries
and concerns responding appropriately, always with our Dad's best interests at heart. They found a caregiver who was understanding and adapted to Dad's needs and recognised that time is needed to build a relationship of trust between the caregiver and dad, maintaining close contact with us to ensure visits run smoothly. We are very impressed so far with the professionalism and caring, patient nature of Dad's caregiver. For us it was important to find an organisation that put Dad at the centre of what they do, was reliable, flexible and responsive to our comments and dad’s needs and for this reason, we would highly recommend Home Instead.

In August 2020 my siblings and I decided that we needed more care for our elderly parents than we alone were able to provide. After speaking to several Care Agencies we decided that Home Instead were the best fit for our parents' requirements. The service provided by Home Instead; both by Caregivers
and the office team, has been efficient, professional and caring from the start. We are pleased that a fairly small number of Caregivers work with our parents in a very caring but professional manner. Seeing the same people regularly has enabled a good rapport to develop between our parents and the Caregivers. Our father has Vascular Dementia and our mother has type one Diabetes and the Caregivers have adapted and coped well with our parents' rather complex needs. Our parents are very happy with the support provided by the Home Instead Caregivers, and their presence at the beginning and end of each day is very reassuring for my siblings and I, as we feel that our parents are in safe hands.

From the very beginning of our relationship with Home Instead it has continued to be excellent, professional and flexible. The Management and caregivers have gone above and beyond our expectations in providing care for our elderly father. We appreciate their hard work, particularly during these covid
restrictions.

Home Instead have been providing care for my Dad since July last year. We are delighted with the support he is getting. A team of 4 lovely CareGivers visit and all 4 provide an impressive combination of warm support and professional care. Dad really appreciates the way that the Carers look out for
him, providing useful reminders around his medication, helping him keep his shopping list up to date etc. As a family, we could not be happier with the way that they have fitted in and the relationship they've built with Dad.
I'm also really grateful for the responsive management of the service. Whenever a query arises, or a change is needed to Dad's care, the Care Manager has been fast to reply and to make a change which gives us a lot of confidence for the future as his needs evolve.

My Mum has been using the service for daily visits for 4 or 5 months now. She suffers from a debilitating condition which means she is housebound and needs help getting out of bed, with personal care, preparing meals and going to bed at night. She receives 3 visits a day and benefits greatly from
the care provided. Without it, she would not have been able to remain in her own home. The carers are all lovely people who make a real difference to her life. They are friendly, efficient and clearly care about their clients.

Home Instead has given me peace of mind that a kind, professional carer is checking that my dad is OK every day when I live 2-hours drive away. It means that my father can remain in his own home (which is what he dearly wants) in his older years. It means too that if Dad's support needs change that
the package of care can be easily flexed to accommodate these changes. Home Instead has been totally professional and supportive in their care. They communicate well and consistently. I would not hesitate to highly recommend them.

We were new to the whole process of finding a care provider but Home Instead were brilliant! The caregiver chosen was ideal and very accommodating and flexible. It was just what we were looking for. We cannot recommend the team highly enough.

We have used Home Instead for approximately the last 3 months. The ladies who visit mum are very courteous, arrive on time, and are very good with mum. Mum really looks forward to and enjoys their visits. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone. They undertake regular reviews
to ensure mums needs are seen to, adjusting as necessary, for example, due to the darker evenings. Personally, I find the app very useful, this allows me to see how mum is, activities can be modified to suit any changing circumstances.
As stated earlier, I would highly recommend them to anyone. A friend recommended Home Instead to me as they were being used by his parents, this is how I became aware of their excellent service.

When my dad needed a little extra help at home, I contacted Home Instead. They were very understanding of our needs, helping Dad and the family on our journey together; which contributed to our Dad's happiness considerably. Near the end and when Dad needed the specialist care, Home Instead exceeded
my expectations. The quality of care and the sincerity of the caregivers made Dad's last days special. Leaving close family with fond memories.

I began using Home Instead care about a month ago after having been in hospital. At that time I was still very week and needed help with washing myself and general household upkeep. The carer allotted to me is wonderful in so many ways. She makes me feel comfortable about being washed (which I was dreading),
she vacuums, dusts and cleans so cheerfully so that I am never made to feel as if I am imposing by asking for this help. My garden had become pretty weed-infested whilst in hospital and she cheerfully cleaned it all away. I feel truly blessed that my daughter hired Home Instead to help me at this new stage of my life. Furthermore, my carer fetches my medicines if the pharmacy cannot deliver and Home Instead have helped me locate a reliable professional who can fix a safety rail by the back steps. I really recommend them most highly!

Mum has dementia which has got gradually worse since Dad passed away. As myself and my sister work fulltime, we needed initially someone to come in and check on Mum in a morning to make sure she was dressed, had breakfast and taken medication. Mum was reluctant at first but has very quickly got used
to her caregivers and looks forward to seeing them. The mobile app works well and informs us what Mum has been up to and if any foods are running low. Mum particularly enjoyed recently making pancakes with her caregiver. The system works well because you can gradually tailor the care package to suit your individual needs.

My Dad has dementia and needed someone to help out, especially now due to the pandemic!
Care team seem very professional, helpful and obviously kind and caring.
My dad's cleaning company would not come due to coronavirus! So now his carer is helping, keep his home clean and tidy too.
Very pleased.

Mum was against having any kind of care but has Dementia and lives 2 hours away from me. Home Instead have been gentle, listened to my Mum's wishes, liaised with me and tailored her package of care to meet her needs, and I feel reassured that this is flexible enough to change as her needs increase.
Mum has quickly made a lovely relationship with her carer and her eyes light up when she arrives. Her carer has gone above and beyond her duties and Mum feels really cared about and as if she is part of the family. Her carer is professional and really well trained and I feel relieved that my Mum is well looked after when I can not be there.

Mum and Dad are 88 and 90. Mum has dementia and Dad has difficulty with mobility. We have caregivers daily for an hour and a half (in the mornings). We have 2 carers sharing the week.
Both carers are very caring and work hard not only to help Mum and Dad but to build a relationship and help them to
feel comfortable with strangers coming into their home. As a result, Mum and Dad have settled well into the routine. The care they provide is consistent, caring and they always arrive on time and complete the hours.
I am very happy to leave them to take care of my parents.
The Manager is kind and caring and quick to answer any queries and action where necessary.

Hi, I’m Mandy, the Managing Director of Home Instead in the Beverley & Hull area. I was born and raised in the U.S., then married a Yorkshireman so have lived in the UK since 2005. After many years of working in the financial services sector, I was very eager to find a way to do something that would benefit my community. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to bring the outstanding standard of care provided by Home Instead to our area. I love the values of the company and the positive effect we can have on the lives of our clients and their families.

I will use my years of experience in project management, human resources and training to establish an incredible team of compassionate individuals who want to hit the ground running and provide the care we would expect for our own families. We take our time on calls to make sure that as well as providing much-needed assistance, we can also spend quality time building trusting relationships with our clients, so that we can help them to continue to live their life in the way they want, regardless of their age.

Hi, I’m Jennie and I’ve spent over 30 years working within the care industry. My experience includes managing sheltered housing for older people, running a 135 apartment retirement care village and being a registered manager for a charitable trust. I’ve gained my NVQ Registered Managers award and am also a qualified OTAGO programme instructor, a programme that facilitates strength and balance exercise for older people helping to prevent falls at home.

I was drawn to Home Instead because of our shared view of care and support for people in their own home. It’s clear that Home Instead provide quality service and I want to build upon the already amazing team to deliver an efficient, reliable caring service for our clients.

I moved to Beverley to be closer to my son and his family 5 years ago and I absolutely love East Yorkshire. I’m now proud to call Beverley my home.

Hi, I’m Caroline. I was born and raised in Beverley. I have a love of animals and I enjoy reading and baking (although I am not up to Bake Off standard!), but I often try out new recipes on my friends and family.
After 10 years of working in the pharmaceutical company, I made the big decision to have a complete change of career, enter Home Instead! I am thoroughly enjoying my new role. It is wonderful to work for a company whose ethics are clearly seen from how they engage with their staff to the care they provide to our clients, even to have a small role in that is extremely satisfying. I love spending time with my own grandparents and appreciate the special part they play in family life. This encourages me in my work, because I know I am supporting a service that looks after our clients the same way we would look after our own loved ones.
