Right at Home North Somerset is a care company that is "Genuinely Caring". They would never aim to be one of the largest care companies, preferring to maintain a friendly yet professional atmosphere across all of the team. They are a local company, employing local people, and genuinely wanting to make a difference in North Somerset.

They provide Top Quality Training and Supervision to all team members, who are all fully qualified and experienced to provide support within the home : including medication, personal care, social outings, shopping, or just plain companionship.

Their offices are based on the M5 just on the entrance to Weston-Super-Mare, which is a great location to provide care to Weston-Super-Mare, Clevedon, Portishead, as well as the inland areas of Nailsea, Congresbury, Yatton, Backwell and surrounds. They also support clients in Cheddar, Axbridge, Wedmore, and Burnham-on-Sea.

Please call to discuss any care needs that you may have - if they can't help you, they can try to point you toward someone who can.

An excellent service is shown with great care and consideration for the patient. Also very helpful to my husband and myself who were his carers, we could not have managed without them. Thank you very much.

Morning and evening care was needed after my wife was discharged from hospital with a Parkinson related illness. We found Right at Home so easy to set up a care package. Any misgivings on our part concerning reliability or punctuality were soon overcome. Management was seamless, the carers were so professional
and just as important friendly. Our overall experience was entirely positive.

Reply from Grant Attwood, Director at Right at Home (North Somerset)

Wow, thank you so much for your kind words and positive feedback. That means a lot to us. It has been a pleasure supporting your wife, and we are so pleased that she has recovered so well.

Thank you sincerely for your team's care and support for my mum over the recent weeks. It has undoubtedly given both her and dad a safer and more positive start to the day, for which we are grateful. Communications between the team and family have also been highly efficient, which has been valued. Thank

I would not hesitate to recommend the carers from Right at Home (North Somerset). My father has needed home care since the outbreak of Covid-19. The staff are absolutely wonderful; caring, thoughtful and proactive. Living too far away to visit I feel so reassured that my father is being well cared for
and this is also a huge help for my mother. I hear nothing but positive feedback from both my parents.

Reply from Grant Attwood, Director at Right at Home (North Somerset)

Thank you so much for your positive review. We are so pleased to hear that we have brought you and your parent's such peace of mind, and we will pass on your compliments to our team. All the best!

Most staff are friendly, compassionate and good at listening. They try their best to cater for your needs and that I’m appreciative for. It’s good to see them growing from the time I’ve been with them and hopefully, they can provide more care for people that need it.

From the offset, we have found this agency professional and caring, both with management and carers.
We are comfortable to make our needs clear and feel the carers could not be more helpful.
If and when problems arise the carers and management have been quick to respond.
The health of the client
is closely observed and acted upon. All domestic needs have been carried out mostly without the need to ask.
This is the first time we have personally experienced the need for this kind of support and are extremely pleased with the service.
Thank you.

The ladies that come to see my husband are absolutely amazing, they are extremely friendly and are very helpful to him. At present, before they come in to attend my husband they are putting on PPE. They tidy up after themselves and before leaving always ask if I need anything.

Reply from Grant Attwood, Director at Right at Home (North Somerset)

We are so grateful for this feedback. It is wonderful for our team to hear this positive review; and also to know that their diligent use of PPE is appreciated. We are always happy to help in whatever way we can, so please do keep in touch. Many many thanks.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.658 for Right at Home (North Somerset) is calculated as follows: ( (103 Excellents x 5) + (38 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 146 Ratings = 4.658

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Hello. I’m Grant

Before I joined the care industry, I was an operation and finance professional. I felt like I wanted to do more than just sit in a corporate environment, so I am thrilled to be able to combine my business skills with my desire to support people in my local community.

I have lived in North Somerset for the past decade, with my wife, two boys, and a beagle. We enjoy walks in the woods and have recently taken up cycling as a hobby.

My team and I would be delighted to answer any questions you might have, and hopefully, be able to offer support to you or a loved one.

Hi, I’m Pat.

I am the Manager at Right at Home. My job entails a little bit of everything, including liaising with our wonderful carers and our special clients.

I have been in the care industry for many years. I am extremely passionate about caring for people and ensuring that their needs are met. I lived in South Africa for 35 years, where I worked as a Cardiac ICU nurse. My husband and I moved to the UK in 2016 to be closer to our family. Since I arrived here, I have been working as a carer in the community.

I am thrilled to be part of the Right at Home North Somerset team, which is constantly striving to achieve the very best for its clients and carers. Nothing is ever too much trouble!

I love spending time with my family, and my two grandsons. I love going for walks in the countryside, and I am an avid reader. I also enjoy doing all sorts of handwork and spend a great deal of time working in my garden.

Hi, I'm Stacey and I have been with Right at Home since January 2021.

I have done a number of roles in that time from CareGiver to Administration to Compliance and now I am the Deputy Manager.

I have worked in Care since 2010 and have a real passion for providing quality, person centred care to those that need it. Being able to provide someone with the help and support they need has always been the most rewarding thing for me and the reason I do what I do. Seeing the joy on the faces of our clients when they get to visit the Zoo or see the Pantomime drives me to provide a social aspect for them as well as provide the day to day care that they need.

I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and going on holidays/adventures with them. We love our camping trips!

My background is in early years child care management, managing multiple childcare settings. I have now moved into adult care and am thoroughly enjoying this new direction.

In my free time, I love to bake delicious treats for my family and friends. When I’m not busy baking, I like to take my dog paddleboarding with me around the rivers and lakes of the South West.

I am delighted to be a part of the Right at Home family and to learn all about adult care in the community.

I am Nicole, the Training & Development Co-ordinator, at Right At Home. I have a background in Training and have been in the Care Industry for the 6 years I have lived in England.

I came to Care by chance and fell in love with it. Supporting vulnerable people and making their lives that little bit better is the most rewarding job I have ever had.

My role at Right At Home combines my Training and Care background.

I have lived in several countries around the world, so considered travel to be my main hobby, but have now settled in North Somerset.

Hi, I am Peggy.

I have only worked in care for a year and a half after having come from a legal background. They say when one door closes, another opens. After I was furloughed and then made redundant, I decided to make a career change. It was the best decision I made. I didn’t have any experience in care but with the guidance and training of our team here at Right at Home I now have a thorough grasp of the world of care. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting all our clients and working alongside our amazing carers. I still do some care calls and enjoy catching up with the people I have previously cared for.

I used to live in South Africa but returned to the UK in 1986 and have resided in North Somerset ever since.
I have a beautiful tabby cat who shares my life and I sometimes wonder who is in charge of our household!

I enjoy singing and belong to a local Acapella Chorus, called Waves of Harmony. When I am not busy singing with them, I enjoy reading, going for walks and meeting up with my friends.

I am delighted to be part of the Right at Home team.

Hi, my name is Paige. I joined the Right At Home team to become a Care Administrator, and have now moved into a Client Liaison role.

I have worked in the care industry since 2012, specialising in adults with learning disabilities especially. Whilst growing up my Grandad had MS and my Nan was his main carer – she taught me the ins and outs from a very young age. Carers weren’t always very useful so me and Nan would do the care ourselves and send them away. (There weren’t the standards that there are today!) I believe that’s where my love for care comes from.

I very much wear my heart on my sleeve and to be able to enable someone to stay in their own home with what they know best and to adhere to their wishes, is very rewarding!

I have a daughter called Fleur who my world revolves around. In my spare time, I enjoy making memories with family and friends.

I feel privileged to be part of the Right At Home team and have felt very welcomed. I am looking forward to seeing where my journey takes me with Right At Home.

I love Care Work: being able to help each client with whatever it may be. Previously I have worked with Right at Home in the role of Client Liaison Officer. I have now taken on a more staff-focused role, supporting with Training and Development and conducting spot checks in the homes of our clients, to ensure our care team is fully equipped to deliver really Outstanding care.
