Apollo Care are fantastic at looking after Mum.
They've been looking after her for nearly 5 years. They are patient, kind and caring and nothing is too much for them regarding Mum.
They also look after me and help me when I need it. My sister and I are extremely happy with the care and would recommend
Apollo to anyone who needs care! They are absolutely fantastic.

Overall good service, few hiccups to begin with but running smoothly now. Carers mainly completing caring needs and tasks on a daily basis. We are informed of any issues relating to Dad, so kept in the loop at all times. A great help and peace of mind for my family.

Apollo Care has been great with my mother-in-law. She was recently diagnosed with dementia and all the girls have been amazing with her and coming to terms with this. They all truly go above and beyond and as a family, we couldn't say thank you enough to all the carers and also the office team for being
such a support to us!
Thank you Apollo.

The care provided is excellent, carers communicate effectively. Personal care that is provided is excellent. Carers involve service users always. Always tidy up after themselves. Agency always has carers introduce themselves to starting care, this is an asset to the company.

On the whole, the carers are fair, as I found the odd odd exceptions.
Management is hard to get hold of if something goes wrong. Dignity was kept most of the time, not really good enough. This needs vast improvement.

Reply from John McGovern at Apollo Care (Liverpool)

As a management team, we have made ourselves available to be contacted by this lady whenever we have been requested to. The ratings in this review we feel are tainted due to her having a long-standing dispute with her brother who is his mum's lasting power of attorney. This has impacted on what we can liaise with this person for. This lady hasn't liked this fact and as a result, we have received the above review, which we feel is deeply unfair. Her mother requested we provide her care for the end stages of her life due to the continuity and dignity we have provided her and her son over the last 5 years. Sometimes people's views are tainted by their feelings towards others, but as an agency, we know we have provided outstanding care for this lady's mother and brother and we will continue to do so in the latter stages of her mother's life. We have communicated in the best way we can with this lady in the situation we have found ourselves in regarding lasting power of attornies.

Manager runs an excellent company. Anything I have asked he is more than willing to listen and always help whenever possible. This review is for the last 3 years, not just one month, we have used other companies for my mum and dad but Apollo Care is by far the best. They fit the carers that are best
suited to the clients which is exactly the right thing to do. My father has Alzheimer's and he needs to feel at ease but also do what is needed for himself. Me and my sister are both extremely happy with the care Apollo Care gives.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.111 for Apollo Care (Liverpool) is calculated as follows: ( (22 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) + (4 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.111

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
