We have had Right at Home carers for the last month and the care and support my mum has received has been so good and professional, we have heard first-hand Mum laughing with the carers and enjoying the company and support she is receiving from them.
I have been surprised at the professionalism of
the office staff returning emails very timely and with detailed information which gives me and my brother and sister a great piece of mind knowing Mum's in good care.

Right at Home provides in-home and social support for my son who has learning disabilities and Autism. We started using Right at Home in January 2024 and I can't praise the staff enough. My son enjoys all his home visits and trips out with the carers and the office staff are always friendly and helpful.
The carers assist him with meal preparation and simple household tasks and are also happy to play games and chat about music or things on a particular streaming service! They take him on trips out to the local amusement arcade, and local restaurant and have a trip to Southend planned for the summer. Since their visits, his confidence has grown which is very important for someone with a social communication disorder. I feel very fortunate to have found Right at Home and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

All the carers are so lovely with my Mum - she says they have such a laugh together which is fantastic. I can see that a lot of hard work goes in too as they do the jobs that mean so much like finding her mobile and making sure it’s charged or cleaning/checking her toilet or popping on the washing and
making sure she’s eating and drinking. It’s so great to have people we can rely on and I get a text or phone call if there are any problems which is brilliant. I would highly recommend this company.

Right at Home provided wonderful care for our dad at the end of his life while we were providing palliative care for him at home. It was a very difficult time for us, and I'm not sure how we would have coped without the care provided by the Right at Home team.
The team provided a very person-centred
approach and was careful to listen to Dad and ensure that he had full control over the care he received. The team showed Dad compassion and dignity, which was extended to the entire family. We couldn't have asked for anything more during this difficult time, and the carers are a credit to the organisation.
Right at Home provided us with comfort and support at the most difficult of times, and we have no hesitation in recommending Right at Home to other families.

We are so pleased to have found this company. They have been looking after my father for five hours a week and have given him back his independence. The staff who visit my father are brilliant and can't do enough to assist him. I definitely have no trouble recommending them. It has taken away the worry
when it comes to future care too.

Nothing is too much trouble and my dad is very happy. He has found all the carers and team to be professional and friendly. They have even helped him to maintain his love of gardening, with frequent trips to the garden centre and shops.

Right at Home began visiting and supplying care for my father in July 2022. We are very pleased with the service which all the Team provides. Their support is professionally given with concern, kindness and friendliness. We have been informed if any suspected health issues have been raised during
these visits and would recommend the Team. My father enjoys the visits, and we are thankful that we discovered this Company.

Right at Home has been providing 1-hour per daily care to my mother since February 2022. In that time she has been delighted with the exceptional care she has received. The carers are prompt, professional and smartly turned out. They are also kind and compassionate. The Director is very responsive
and effective in his management and has built an excellent team. I would thoroughly recommend the company to anybody seeking care.

The carers are very good with my mother, giving her someone to talk to as well as the jobs they do.
We can trust them to let themselves in when we are not here.
Without the homecare, she would probably have to go into a home, which she does not want to do.

Right At Home has been providing professional care for my aunt for the past two years. In that time they have adapted the support they have given her as her needs have changed. Overall the organisation is run in a very professional manner. Over and above that the ladies who have cared for my aunt have
done so with great kindness and compassion and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. There have been some emergency occasions when they have gone over and above to make sure my aunt was safe at all times. I am extremely grateful to them.

Every Monday and Thursday our carer (grandad's sister) comes and takes my husband under her wing. They go into Hitchin for my husband to have a haircut/shave and then on to a pub for lunch. He loves it and I love the complete peace of mind.

I write on behalf of my mum, the client user. She has been receiving twice daily support from Right at Home for a while and I am most pleased and happy with the service. The carers are friendly and reliable and have supported and cared for my mum as the impact of her dementia has developed. I have witnessed
first-hand their gentle, kind and encouraging approach. As they get the best response from my mum in often quite challenging circumstances. I would have been happy for Right at Home to have continued in their care of my mum, but unfortunately, she has now had to move to a nursing home following a downturn in her health. I would be happy to recommend Right at Home to others.

I was very worried about trusting anyone to care for my Mum who has dementia, but I have found the manager and the carers so kind and approachable, and that is very comforting. I no longer wake up worried about my Mum who lives alone, as I know someone is going to visit and will contact me if there
is anything wrong. I am very grateful for their help and care and cannot praise them highly enough.

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My first career was in accountancy and finance in the City. I knew long ago that I didn’t want to spend my whole career in that environment, so I always kept my eye out for an exciting new challenge.

The Right at Home network stood out when doing my research about how to enter the sector: they were honest and value-driven. Over the years I have become a big advocate for the brand & it is inspirational to work with so many like-minded people. I am fully involved in the day-to-day running of the service and feel very lucky to be able to say I love doing what I do.

I’ve always had an eye for good service, and I really notice when service is average or below: The grumpy assistant, the miserable waiter, or the shop assistant who doesn’t care. My ethos is to strive to deliver excellent service, so anything less than this stands out. I also believe that how we treat the vulnerable in society reflects who we are; some of my favourite moments have been helping strangers in the street who needed help. These two factors combined make homecare something I passionately believe in – the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives is a special privilege.

The values of Right at Home Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin are trust, professionalism, kindness & excellence. We have a wonderful team, all committed to the ethos of the service. If you are looking for quality home care, please do give our friendly team a call - we'll be happy to help.

Hello all,

I am Liza and I am the Registered Manager here at Right at Home Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin.

I am truly committed to my role & I am passionate about providing the best support to all of our clients & their families. It is important that our care packages are tailored to the individual. This means I spend time understanding our clients’ personalities and quirks, as well as understanding their health and support needs. I often find myself having a really good giggle with our clients!

To achieve the level of excellence which we aspire to, I make sure our staff are well-trained, happy and confident.

I have experience as a CareGiver – I started my health and social care career 12 years ago and I worked my way up to Care Coordinator and then Registered Manager. I have seen it all & love passing on my knowledge and experience to the team. Over the years I have completed my Health & Social Care Level 5, as well as various other related qualifications in areas such as Dementia, Moving & Positioning, Stoma & Catheter Care.

Please do get in touch to find out more about our services.

I joined Right at Home Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin in July 2021.

I was new to care, having spent the previous 20 years in buying and merchandising. The reason I decided to start a career in care was going through the COVID lockdown and seeing how much it affected my nan, with her being on her own and how isolated she felt: I realised there must be so many more people out there that need some help and support.

I was made a Senior CareGiver in 2023. Alongside my role, I am studying towards a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. This is helping me develop my knowledge as a care professional. In 2024 I became the Care Coordinator.

I'm not very good with change, but changing my career path was easily one of the best decisions I have made. I absolutely love my job and making a difference in our amazing clients and their family's lives. I find this job so rewarding and couldn't imagine doing anything else.

"I'm Tanya, a mum of two children & two furbabies and I'm a bit dog mad. I have been in the care industry for 12 years now and I hold an NVQ level 3 in health and social care.

I have been with Right at Home since April 2021, I absolutely love being out in the community making a difference to my clients, whether that's helping them achieve a goal, listening to them or making them smile. I spend a lot of time forming a strong bond with my clients to ensure their care is person-centred and delivered at a high standard.

I am now a Senior CareGiver and I am qualified to train new CareGivers that join our Right at Home team with moving & handling, medication administration and basic life support - I love doing the training, I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I enjoy setting high standards for new CareGivers right from the start. As I'm out caring in the community, I know of any issues that may arise so I can give first-hand experiences on how to overcome any challenges."
