My experience with this agency so far has been fantastic - the carers are really personable, efficient, practical, and flexible to what my needs are on the day. The office has been really helpful and made the transition from a different agency as stress-free as possible for me. The carers are on time,
reliable and I know who is coming in advance. As well as helping with my personal care and moving and handling, they have also helped with laundry, dishes, wrapping presents, applying moisturisers, and waxing my legs - not on my care plan but all-important to me!

The caregivers from Right at Home have been a lifeline. We had never used carers before but when mum’s Parkinson’s symptoms deteriorated, and we were struggling to cope, the manager and the team made it so easy to set up a care package to help get us back on track. The caregivers have been a fantastic
help practically but more importantly, have really helped to lift my mum’s spirits and boost her confidence. The friendship, friendliness and laughter has been wonderful and something we didn’t anticipate, but certainly makes their service very special.

We have had Right at Home looking after our Mum since August last year, coming in 3 times a week in the mornings. We have just upped the care to 7 days in the morning and 1 evening, there was a few teething problems but was quickly made right. All the carers are lovely and keep us informed on how Mum
is doing. Very pleased with Right at Home.

Reply from Kurt Gunthardt, Director at Right at Home (Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin)

Thank you for your review and for taking the time to provide such valuable feedback, we are glad that any teething problems were resolved quickly. We will pass on your comments about the care team to them.

From the very beginning, the management and care staff have been first class. My husband's carer is more like a friend who's daily visits are a real help. The professional yet friendly and flexible approach has made us feel involved and supported every step of the way and they go above and beyond to
help. I would highly recommend Right at Home to anybody needing one of the many services they provide.

Managers are very friendly and professional. My husband gets on well with the caregiver. I am always getting up to date information on any changes to my visits. Nothing is too much trouble anytime I need help or information, they are always there for me.
At last I can breathe, have some ME time and
know my husband is being extremely well looked after. A breath of fresh air arrives with my carer. Life improves each day.

We are absolutely delighted to read your review and hear what a positive impact, the support and care our team are providing, is making on you both.

The two carers and the manager are very good at keeping us informed about the care they are providing for our mother and any changes that they see in her. She gets on well and is comfortable with them and that is very reassuring for us.

The service offered by the manager and her team was professional, friendly, understanding and they show an enormous amount of patience. They helped my father with household jobs when he came out of the hospital. We would not hesitate to book them again in the future. Thank you.

The carers are always on time, very nice and kind ladies, always a smile, go out their way to help you. Prompting my drugs for me, my balance is not 100%, so my carer does insist I use my frame to go into the wetroom. If you want excellent carers go for Right at Home.

Right at Home provided care for my grandad over 3 months during lockdown when I got sick and couldn’t look after him.
Right from the off they have been helpful, friendly and caring.
I was able to leave my grandad in their care knowing he was in safe hands.
The whole team were outstanding, hardworking
and reliable.
My family and I are grateful we found an excellent care provider.
We will be using Right at Home again and would highly recommend them for their top-class care service.

My 92-year-old Aunt was discharged from hospital in April 2020 barely able to move, unable to sit up, feed herself or even turn over in bed. With the excellent care and support provided by the team at Right At Home, she has made an amazing recovery and no longer needs any care. Apart from providing
excellent care, the team have encouraged and supported her in her road to recovery and provided excellent support and guidance to me. The whole team are fantastic, but most of the credit for her recovery must go to one particular lady who has been with us since the beginning. I will definitely be asking the team to provide respite care in the future.

Reply from Kurt Gunthardt, Director at Right at Home (Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin)

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, while we are sad that we will no longer be providing regular care to your aunt as the team have become very fond of her, we are absolutely delighted that the care and support we have provided has contributed to your aunts recovery. Thank you for your kind words about the team which I will pass on. We look forward to being able to offer any further support that may be required in the future.

I was very pleased with the service we received from the manager and her team. Everyone was very attentive to my father’s needs and went out of their way to engage with him as well as look after him. Right at Home were very flexible in changing rotas as my father’s needs changed and always stayed with
him if required, rather than leave at the end of the allotted time. I think they represent what caring should all be about and I’d recommend them to everyone.

The care provided has been outstanding. My Aunt had spent several months in hospital and has returned to live with us. It's amazing how much she has improved in the last two weeks. I can't thank the team enough. My special thanks to a particular carer who has been excellent with my Aunt and has built
a strong relationship with her already. The manager has been really brilliant in getting everything set up and communicating with me every step of the way. Thank you and I look forward to a long relationship with Right At Home.

My first career was in accountancy and finance in the City. I knew long ago that I didn’t want to spend my whole career in that environment, so I always kept my eye out for an exciting new challenge.

The Right at Home network stood out when doing my research about how to enter the sector: they were honest and value-driven. Over the years I have become a big advocate for the brand & it is inspirational to work with so many like-minded people. I am fully involved in the day-to-day running of the service and feel very lucky to be able to say I love doing what I do.

I’ve always had an eye for good service, and I really notice when service is average or below: The grumpy assistant, the miserable waiter, or the shop assistant who doesn’t care. My ethos is to strive to deliver excellent service, so anything less than this stands out. I also believe that how we treat the vulnerable in society reflects who we are; some of my favourite moments have been helping strangers in the street who needed help. These two factors combined make homecare something I passionately believe in – the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives is a special privilege.

The values of Right at Home Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin are trust, professionalism, kindness & excellence. We have a wonderful team, all committed to the ethos of the service. If you are looking for quality home care, please do give our friendly team a call - we'll be happy to help.

Hello all,

I have seen it all & love passing on my knowledge and experience to the team. Over the years I have completed my Health & Social Care Level 5, as well as various other related qualifications in areas such as Dementia, Moving & Positioning, Stoma & Catheter Care.

Please do get in touch to find out more about our services.

I joined Right at Home Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin in July 2021.

I was new to care, having spent the previous 20 years in buying and merchandising. The reason I decided to start a career in care was going through the COVID lockdown and seeing how much it affected my nan, with her being on her own and how isolated she felt: I realised there must be so many more people out there that need some help and support.

I was made a Senior CareGiver in 2023. Alongside my role, I am studying towards a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. This is helping me develop my knowledge as a care professional. In 2024 I became the Care Coordinator.

I'm not very good with change, but changing my career path was easily one of the best decisions I have made. I absolutely love my job and making a difference in our amazing clients and their family's lives. I find this job so rewarding and couldn't imagine doing anything else.

"I'm Tanya, a mum of two children & two furbabies and I'm a bit dog mad. I have been in the care industry for 12 years now and I hold an NVQ level 3 in health and social care.

I have been with Right at Home since April 2021, I absolutely love being out in the community making a difference to my clients, whether that's helping them achieve a goal, listening to them or making them smile. I spend a lot of time forming a strong bond with my clients to ensure their care is person-centred and delivered at a high standard.

I am now a Senior CareGiver and I am qualified to train new CareGivers that join our Right at Home team with moving & handling, medication administration and basic life support - I love doing the training, I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I enjoy setting high standards for new CareGivers right from the start. As I'm out caring in the community, I know of any issues that may arise so I can give first-hand experiences on how to overcome any challenges."
