Right at Home Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe is proud to be rated as ‘Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (May 2022). Right at Home Ipswich’s owners care about both Clients and Caregivers, and are proud to have owned and run two 'Outstanding' rated homecare services.

The team provide high-quality care to enhance Clients' lives, enabling them to live safely and happily in their own homes. Visits are a minimum of one hour, allowing time to provide person-centred care that isn’t just ‘task-based’. Caregivers do not just perform a task and then leave! Whether a client is being assisted with home help, personal care or is being accompanied out in the community - companionship and encouragement are always at the heart of their service.

From experience, excellent care starts with recruiting the right individuals who want to make a difference, and ensuring they are trained and supported to be exceptional Caregivers. Each of the team is personally introduced to their new clients who they see regularly. A trusted Caregiver should become an invaluable part of a Client’s support network, but without taking over! Clients are fully involved from the outset, with the aim to do things with the Client where possible, rather than just for them.

The skill and kindness of the carers and management at Right at Home agency Suffolk ensured Mum had food, company, attention, and home help. Mum's regular falls and infirmity, but rigid refusal to accept more care became dangerous and upsetting. The carers provided much-needed help as I am the only
surviving relative and live abroad. Right at Home provided enormous assistance during the period of particular stress when Mum finally admitted defeat as she could no longer manage physically. Right at Home found a place for her and completed the move from home to care home. The carers had become real friends to her and management could not have been more supportive and effective. The thing is that Mum adores the home she has been moved to! She is cheerful again! I still have Right at Home carers visiting her as she would miss those wonderful people. We could not have managed without them.

We were looking for a company to offer companionship to my 90-year-old grandmother. I approached Right at Home who were welcoming, friendly and supportive. Grandma was given the best support and service by the carers and as a family we are thankful. The level of service from start to finish was professional

So very grateful for their kindness, while caring for my aunt. They gave their time so she would no longer be lonely while housebound. The company helped her immensely. She loved them and they loved her. I was reassured and kept up to date with regular emails.
My aunt managed to stay at home as long
as possible which was her wish.
I was very lucky to find this company as many did not go to this area.

Right at home have been reliable and consistent with care. Dad has one regular carer, twice a week whom he gets on well with. He is a difficult client and the care he gets is still superb. They help with shopping and keeping on top of cleaning and laundry, as well as some personal care when needed.

My mum had care for over a year and we had an excellent service at all times. The care Mum had was really good with regular reviews and all the carers were very kind and helpful. It is easy to miss giving feedback for the things that are going well. So we want to recognise the value of all the small
things the carers did, such as helping with make-up and reminding Mum of visits etc., these things are really impactful and show how much everyone cares about their work. Additionally, the office staff were always helpful in making any adjustments Mum needed and when I did have an issue, which was not related to care, my concern was dealt with professionally and promptly by the manager who also was extremely helpful whenever I had occasion to talk to her.

Mum has had carers for a couple of weeks now and we are both very pleased with everyone we have met so far. All the care has been outstanding and the carers will help Mum with whatever she needs to be done. The information provided initially and the preliminary meetings were all excellent.

Mum's had the carers for a couple of months now and it's made a huge difference. Mum very much looks forward to the visits as she is able to use the carers to help her with housework, going to the shops, and getting her independence back since Dad passed away recently.

The care my dad has received has been exceptional from the outset. He was uncertain about having a carer but within minutes he felt at ease. The practical care is to a high standard but when matched with concern from the outset to match client and carer, monitor how things are and be flexible on jobs,
propels this company to being the best.

My husband has been having care for about two months so far we are very satisfied. The carers are kind, friendly and polite. They work hard and always complete the required tasks satisfactorily.
Any contact with the office has always been prompt, helpful and polite. My only problem has been opening
attachments sent from them to me. I have mentioned this and hope they will be able to offer a solution soon.

The staff and Carers were so wonderful and helpful to both Mum and my brother and I. Even though at times Mum needed some cajoling to accept the help, the carers who visited, were considerate to her needs and treated her with such kindness and dignity. I cannot speak more highly of their professionalism

It took some convincing my dad to have carers for Mum. We were introduced to a member of office staff in the Ipswich branch. Dad was promised that Mum would be given the best care possible. I can honestly say, from the care to the dignity, which has been shown to my mum, it has been outstanding - 100%.

a big thank you to the management and the wonderful carers you have been amazing you have become our friends and we will miss you all.

We originally started using Right at Home just once a week for two hours, as my Mum was needing a little help with changing the bed etc., but it soon became clear that Mum was enjoying the visits from a companionship point of view so we increased the visits to daily. All three of the carers are very
kind and caring, and the office staff are all lovely to talk to regarding any problems or queries.
It is reassuring to know that Mum is being so well cared for because I live 400 miles away. Now I have peace of mind, which is priceless.

We have nothing but praise for the care that our cousin has received from Right at Home, Ipswich. Right from our very first telephone conversation we felt that this was a very compassionate, caring and professionally run company - we had no recommendations only reading the reviews - we hit the jackpot!
They were able to provide the required care for our cousin starting within a few days of our phone call. The dedicated caregiver was excellent in all aspects of her job - nothing was too much trouble - our cousin got to really enjoy her company even though it's turned out to only be for a short period of six weeks. She even contacted us directly on two or three occasions when it was necessary.
We've had excellent service right from the manager down to the caregiver and couldn't have asked for anything more. We would recommend this company 100% - Many many thanks.

We are so pleased to have discovered this excellent, compassionate care company. They have been caring for my 95-year-old mum for five months now and have never found any request too much trouble. They manage the cleaning and prepare the lunch as well as spend some very important social time with her,
even taking her out on one occasion, the first time since Covid struck. We would be happy to unreservedly recommend this company.

From the first time I got in touch with Right at Home, the service from the beginning has been unbelievable. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a more caring and wonderful team of people who are caring for my mother-in-law. She enjoys seeing the carers when they go in, they treat her with respect.

I’m Claire Percy, Owner and Managing Director at Right at Home Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe. We provide high-quality care in clients' own homes.


I was formerly Owner and Director of Care for a Hampshire-based private home care service for older adults. I was proud to lead our team to an ‘Outstanding’ rating in 2016 when at the time just 2% of home care providers were awarded this rating. The regulator said there was ‘a model of personalised and compassionate care, which was a golden thread that ran through the whole of the service.’


I’m confident that our compassionate team at Right at Home Ipswich is trained and motivated to provide our clients with the best person-centred care and support. That is just one of the reasons I love my role!

I’m Bill Percy, Owner and Director at Right at Home, providing high-quality home care to our clients in Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe.


My previous roles have been within the corporate drug testing sector; as a Healthcare Manager; and supporting those with learning disabilities. I enjoy delivering Dementia Awareness Workshops to healthcare professionals, voluntary groups and family carers. I’m also a Dementia Champion.


I was motivated to join the home care sector in 2011 after my Mother was diagnosed with dementia. I could see there was a greater need for high-quality person-centred companionship and care, and was proud to be co-founder of a Hampshire-based homecare service for older adults which was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating in 2016.


After moving to Suffolk with co-Director Claire, we launched Right at Home, Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe. We’re excited to be recruiting and training a growing team of compassionate CareGivers. To us, it’s essential to support those in our community, offering each and every person the best care and support whilst promoting their independence.
