Right at Home Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe is proud to be rated as ‘Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (May 2022). Right at Home Ipswich’s owners care about both Clients and Caregivers, and are proud to have owned and run two 'Outstanding' rated homecare services.

The team provide high-quality care to enhance Clients' lives, enabling them to live safely and happily in their own homes. Visits are a minimum of one hour, allowing time to provide person-centred care that isn’t just ‘task-based’. Caregivers do not just perform a task and then leave! Whether a client is being assisted with home help, personal care or is being accompanied out in the community - companionship and encouragement are always at the heart of their service.

From experience, excellent care starts with recruiting the right individuals who want to make a difference, and ensuring they are trained and supported to be exceptional Caregivers. Each of the team is personally introduced to their new clients who they see regularly. A trusted Caregiver should become an invaluable part of a Client’s support network, but without taking over! Clients are fully involved from the outset, with the aim to do things with the Client where possible, rather than just for them.

  • We charge a fixed hourly rate for all care services. Mileage is charged if a Caregiver accompanies their client out in the Caregiver's car. We do not charge VAT.


    Our visits are a minimum of 1 hour. This ensures our Caregivers have adequate time to involve their client - and ensure that care and support is not rushed. Our aim is for Caregiver and Client to do things together where possible, and for the Caregivers to promote independence.

We selected Right at Home (Ipswich, Woodbridge & Felixstowe) following a recommendation from a carer at a home my Mum was receiving respite care at.
This is never an easy decision to make, entrusting someone into your parents home when they are alone, however from the very first meeting to the care
received to date we could not be happier. A very professional, friendly and caring service has been provided and I have not seen my mum looking brighter for quite some time. This is a step above a straightforward personal care service, and from previous experience, it's not always just the personal care that is needed where the care is given, then the carer leaves straight away. In addition to the personal care where needed, Right At Home also provide companionship, help with those little jobs, non-rushed time to have a nice conversation etc, all of which allows for a very rounded and worthwhile service.
100% recommended.

I’m Claire Percy, Owner and Managing Director at Right at Home Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe. We provide high-quality care in clients' own homes.


I was formerly Owner and Director of Care for a Hampshire-based private home care service for older adults. I was proud to lead our team to an ‘Outstanding’ rating in 2016 when at the time just 2% of home care providers were awarded this rating. The regulator said there was ‘a model of personalised and compassionate care, which was a golden thread that ran through the whole of the service.’


I’m confident that our compassionate team at Right at Home Ipswich is trained and motivated to provide our clients with the best person-centred care and support. That is just one of the reasons I love my role!

I’m Bill Percy, Owner and Director at Right at Home, providing high-quality home care to our clients in Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe.


My previous roles have been within the corporate drug testing sector; as a Healthcare Manager; and supporting those with learning disabilities. I enjoy delivering Dementia Awareness Workshops to healthcare professionals, voluntary groups and family carers. I’m also a Dementia Champion.


I was motivated to join the home care sector in 2011 after my Mother was diagnosed with dementia. I could see there was a greater need for high-quality person-centred companionship and care, and was proud to be co-founder of a Hampshire-based homecare service for older adults which was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating in 2016.


After moving to Suffolk with co-Director Claire, we launched Right at Home, Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe. We’re excited to be recruiting and training a growing team of compassionate CareGivers. To us, it’s essential to support those in our community, offering each and every person the best care and support whilst promoting their independence.

My role is Care Manager with Right at Home Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe. I joined the team as a Caregiver, a role I feel very passionately about. I am now a Care Manager with my aim to be Registered Manager, and my responsibilities include Caregiver training and development. I also look after compliance by ensuring we conduct regular reviews for clients, and support meetings for our Caregivers. My role varied from day to day! I’m Samantha but like to be called Sam!


I’ve been working with Right at Home Ipswich Woodbridge and Felixstowe since 2021 as a Caregiver and progressed to Field Compliance Coordinator, and then Care Administrator. I conduct client service reviews, help support the Caregiver Team and help keep our clients' support plans up-to-date and relevant, so we are safe and fully compliant.


I’ve worked in many settings gaining knowledge of people’s needs and enjoy all aspects of my role, especially knowing I’ve helped someone in need.


I have been married for 20 years and have 3 teenage boys. My spare time is spent looking after my 4 dogs and spending time with my family.

Tammy Van Nuil

Job Title: Recruitment and Compliance Coordinator

I'm Tammy and I have been with Right at Home Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe since December 2023. I started as a Caregiver and moved to the office Team in February 2025 as Recruitment and Compliance Coordinator. I have experience in various roles from care in the community, Human Resources to many administrative roles. I've provided care to family members as well as the community here in Suffolk, and also when I lived in Scotland.


In my role with Right at Home, I'm responsible for supporting new Caregivers through the recruitment process. I also coordinate Caregiver compliance to help ensure our staff are fully compliant in their role. Both recruitment and compliance are important as excellent practice counts towards our Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission.


I live in Ipswich with my family which includes my partner, little boy and 2 cats. In my spare time I love spending time with my family whether it be indoors or outdoors.
