Helping Hands have been providing care for my mum for the past 11 months visiting 3 times a day 7 days a week providing personal care when required, assisting with meal prep, shopping, collecting and dispensing medication.
All of these tasks are carried out efficiently and each care assistant assigned
to my mum is friendly courteous and respectful.
On occasions, I have had to change visiting times or ask for extra help at short notice. The care assistants, branch staff and management at Helping Hands Home Care Southport have always gone above and beyond to support my mum's needs and care.

I have only been with Helping Hands for a short while but I am very pleased with the care they have provided for my husband who has dementia, the carers always treat him with dignity and seem genuinely concerened for my well being as well.

As I recently had a hip replacement, Helping Hands came in twice a day to assist my husband who has dementia and to provide breakfast and a light tea for us both. Now I am more able, we have agreed for them to come in for one hour twice a week to do any cleaning, ironing and shopping which may be needed.
In the past 2 months we have needed their service, I cannot praise all the ladies (and gentleman) enough for their help and kindness in what was a difficult time for us. A worthwhile service which I can thoroughly recommend.

The staff provide good care for Mum and support us as a family to continue to keep Mum at home. They are aware of Mum's routine and do their best to keep that in place for her. We look forward to that continuing with the current staff.

Kind caring staff who look after my mother, who has dementia, with dignity and compassion. The office staff are always happy and willing to provide more care as and well we need it. I and my family are very happy with the service.

About me


My passion for care started in 2013. I have been in my role as a registered manager since the start of 2022 and since then I have grown the team and customer base, based on the four pillars and values of Helping Hands, because “life is better at home.”
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and my three dogs.


Experience and expertise


I have wide-ranging skillset as I have worked with learning disabilities, mental health, and dementia. I am currently a dementia friend and have actively promoted this throughout the branch ensuring all carers are also dementia friends. I have worked in a wide range of services from nursing homes to hospitals, and domiciliary care.
I joined the care sector in 2013 and I absolutely love it. I have worked in numerous roles from a care/support worker to a healthcare assistant, to the office side of the sector as a care coordinator and registered branch manager.


I joined the care sector because I have a passion for caring for and supporting people and I have never looked back. I love my role and I have a fabulous team around me who also share the same values and passion.
