Very pleased with the care provided by Sirius Homecare since we engaged with them around a year ago.
They enabled Mum to return home from a care home following a hospital stay, when that would otherwise have been impossible.
All the staff are amazing and Mum greatly enjoys the visits. She sees the
carers more as friends popping in to help, rather than as carers.
The office and management staff are also great, ensuring we are made aware of any issues we need to know that may arise, whilst also using their knowledge and experience to resolve them directly where possible.
The online portal for care reports after each visit is also invaluable and gives the family, who live out of town, peace of mind regarding each visit and including important information on food and medication.
Overall, the family are very happy with Sirius and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to other people.

I have used cheaper care agencies for a couple of other relatives and was unfortunately frustrated with a number of issues. We decided to try Sirius Homecare for my mother's care since November 2023. Right from day one, we have been pleased with the professional efficiency of the company and all of
the staff. Our thoughts are, that if the staff are happy working for a company and they treat them well, then this carries through to the the care that the staff provide to the client. My mum has improved so much both physically and socially since receiving care. Thank you and well done everyone! Keep it up.

Sirius provided a daily care service for both of my parents for 6 months until they had to go into residential care. From start to finish, all of the staff (office and carers) were professional and attentive, regularly going beyond expectations. We know our parents were very happy with the care provided.
One slight disappointment after we had to suddenly stop the care was the 14 day cancellation fee, I think a 7 day cancellation fee period would be fairer and more appropriate.

All aspects of our care service and the terms that support it are designed to ensure we can deliver the very best service possible - a key element of this is ensuring we have the very best care staff. In order to retain great people, providing them with stable hours and income is paramount, and so the 14-day notice period is simply to support us in keeping these staff. Many of our competitors charge a 28-day notice period which we do feel is a little excessive and so 14 days seemed a reasonable compromise. Each and every one of the carers are absolutely brilliant with Mum. They treat her so well and always have a smile on their face. They are always prompt and stay for the allocated time, if not extra if they have to, without any complaint whatsoever. We really appreciate what they do as it enables her
to stay in her own home. Thank you everyone so much (including the office staff).

Excellent service. All carers looking after me are caring, kind and very efficient. Not only do they look after me (for example helping me wash), but they are always so friendly and patient. As I have been housebound, I have really looked forward to sharing a laugh and a joke with the carers. It has

Please try to work your staff out so they don't have to travel six or seven miles in five minutes for only a half hour visit, it doesn't make sense.

Thank you for your review and feedback and for your time and understanding on the phone where I explained the day-to-day challenges we sometimes face. We work extremely hard on rota planning - ensuring staff remain within the same geographical area for their shift. This is for many reasons - providing continuity for both staff and clients, reduced mileage costs for our business (we pay our staff per mile driven) and less impact on the environment. However, unfortunately in homecare, we do sometimes have to ask our staff to travel to a call in a neighbouring area - for many reasons: perhaps another staff member has visited a client who had a fall and needed to stay with them until they were made safe, perhaps their car broke down mid-shift, or sometimes if a client has more complex needs and one of their care team is sick, we may need to ask another trained member of their team to attend. We really value our staff and look after them in every way we can - we know they're brilliant!

As a family, we would not hesitate to recommend Sirius Homecare to anyone looking for carers in their home. We have used them for approximately three years. Recently they quickly and efficiently arranged extra suitable available time slots for both my mum and dad enabling us to bring Mum out of respite
much quicker than we had anticipated or expected.
Everyone in the company is incredibly helpful and caring, and recently for us, have made what was becoming a very difficult situation so much easier to handle.

My thanks to the Sirius Team for their help, with support for my father for over two years. He has nothing but praise for the friendly, caring, punctual and professional service he gets from his carers, regular or occasional. He enjoys contact with and trusts all his carers, considering them his friends.
The
Admin is efficient. Sirius is approachable, readily contacted, and proactive in highlighting any concerns or issues. They regularly seek feedback on performance and any opportunities to tailor and improve the scope or standard of care given.
I would highly recommend Sirius to others in a similar situation to my father. Without the supplement of their reliable, flexible, effective, and caring support, Dad may not have been able to continue living independently and have the quality of life he currently enjoys.
Thank you all at Sirius; knowing he is in such safe hands is a weight off the minds of his family too.

Sirius has been looking after my mum for over 12 months now. The quality of care throughout this time has been first-class. Living so far away (nearly 300 miles away), it is comforting to know that I can rely on the carers to look after my mum and help her maintain her key objective, which is to live
in her own home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Highly recommended.

Knowing that a friendly face will be checking up on Mum daily is a load off my mind, especially when we're away. It's reassuring to Mum too, to see that friendly face and also in that she doesn't need to struggle with something herself as there will be someone calling in to do it for her.
All staff
are professional, caring, respectful and helpful. The admin staff are lovely too, and are easy to contact, responding quickly to any queries or worries we may have.
I know that going forward, when Mum needs more care, they will be there for us.
My only niggle might be that some carers are naturally better at chatting than others (mostly they're great!). Maybe there would be a way of encouraging the quieter ones to chat about normal daily stuff. It's that happy chatter that lifts a client's spirits every bit as much as the physical jobs.

Overall, my mum is happy with the service provided by your carers.
Only one issue... she prefers her dinner time to be after 4 pm in the afternoon to suit her medication routine. It is too early, and not enough space between the consumption of her meds and the consumption of food. Please allow for
this moving forward.

Mum had a long spell in hospital and got sent to a rehab home and wanted her home. Sirius helped facilitate the care for her to come home and live with us. It has been really simple dealing with and setting everything up for her, and everyone who we have dealt with has been professional, caring and
friendly. Mum looks forward to them coming in the morning, and they have a little chat. My daughters talk their ears off before school, and we have really formed a strong bond with the regulars. Would highly recommend them.

Our mum has had Sirius Home Care for some time, and we have found every single person in their team to be fantastic. Mum had a long spell in hospital and rehab recently and returned home with reduced mobility. Sirius helped facilitate an increase in support and has proved very dynamic in how this has
developed since she’s been home. Mum looks forward to seeing her carers; they take time to really understand what Mum is communicating and try their very best to meet her needs, often cheering her up if she’s feeling a bit down. As a family, we completely trust Sirius to care for our Mum and think of them as her extended ‘family’.

All the dealings I have had with Sirius have been very good. The carers I have seen have all been lovely, and my friend seems very pleased with the service. The only thing I think would make it a little better is a change in the cancellation time; I think seven days' notice is a bit too long as you
can’t arrange anything in the spare of the moment. I understand that you must give notice, but think, maybe 48 hours would be better.

Sirius Homecare looks after my mum daily and has done for just over a year. The care staff are friendly, and the office staff are too. The carers report any changes with Mum to me as soon as they are noted.
Nothing is too much trouble for the carers, from making a meal to assisting with showering.
We are happier knowing that someone is there even when we can't be.
