I was very happy with the care that was provided for my Grandad. I felt confident that he was well looked after. Care staff were always happy to help and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Care Confidence.

My grandad has been receiving care from the team at Care Confidence for the past few months, he (and the rest of the family) have been delighted with the care he has received and has given him the confidence to continue living in his family home. I would recommend the company to anyone looking for help
at home.

We have been with this company only a short time but we are happy with the care given and importantly continuity of carer.
The carer is a professional carer who listens to dad's requests and is always respectful, which we feel is extremely important.

We are so grateful for the care and support given by Care Confidence and the care team. My father-in-law has always been treated with the utmost dignity and respect from day one by the carers and the level of care provided has been exactly what we needed to put our mind at ease. The management team
are approachable and visible at all times and nothing is too much trouble for the carers either. We would now only choose Care Confidence and never trust anyone else with my father-in-law's care. I cannot fault them.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.976 for Care Confidence Home Care is calculated as follows: ( (40 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 41 Ratings = 4.976

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Care Confidence Home Care is based on 7 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.7

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Owner/Registered Manager

Our owner and registered manager Alex is a qualified Mental Health Nurse BSC and holds a level 5 in leadership and management. He has worked in care since the age of 18 as a healthcare assistant, also looking after his own dad at home. He studied at Edge Hill University for his Nursing degree and has also worked in management roles within private and NHS healthcare settings which means he has brought all this experience to Care Confidence.

It was an experience with his own family which meant he was driven to start the home care provider Care Confidence. His own dad became unwell at home suffering from vascular dementia. This led to challenges for the family, specifically Alex’s mum who was the main carer for his dad. Alex's mum didn’t feel confident in receiving support for the care because she didn’t want people she didn’t know or trust coming into her home. She also wasn't sure where or how to access information to receive help with care and funding. And finally, she is a very proud lady. She’d looked after her husband so well that she felt that nobody would be able to care for him as well as she did.

Alex could see that in front of him there was an opportunity to bring his knowledge as an experienced qualified nurse and his own personal experiences with his dad to create a home care provider to not only provide the highest level of care at home but also provide the trust of a family member in each and every Caregiver. The aim of Care Confidence is to provide care at home that feels personal in order to give every client the experience and feel that they are the only ones being Cared for by Care Confidence.
