A very professional approach to my dear mum. Great kindness from all the carers ,looking after all her needs keeping an eye on her medication, from breakfast to tea time visits and personal care. Also making time for a great chat which my mum loved. I can't recommend this company more highly.

The manager and her whole team have been a fantastic support to us all. We live over 3 hours away so the help the carers provide on both a day-to-day and longer-term basis is invaluable. We are kept up to date with the support the team provide every day and issues are flagged to us asap. The whole team
have gone above and beyond to help us navigate some challenging situations enabling our stepmother to stay living independently in her home for as long as she can.

High quality care at home.
Staff are lovely - very friendly, helpful and trustworthy. They did everything they said they would do.
Care was put in place quickly, over the course of a weekend to deal with an urgent care need.

My dad was very reluctant to accept any help but due to a sudden onset of pain he has been receiving care three times a day since the beginning of January. He seems to be quite happy with the attention and level of care he is receiving. From the first day he was encouraged to take a shower which was
good news as we were worried he was not taking care of himself. The carers are all very friendly and upbeat and his home is definitely tidier and cleaner and they are ensuring his diet is more varied and regular. They also look after his medication which is a relief as we were worried he was either not taking it or taking too much. I feel a huge relief that he is being well cared for and that he is seeing people on a regular basis as I don't live locally. I would be happy to recommend this care company based on the experience to date.

When we needed help to support my father-in-law on his release from hospital, following a fall, I had no hesitation in calling Better Care at Home and they did not disappoint. The staff were all very kind, polite and caring. Some visits could be very challenging but the staff are well-trained and very
professional. We were kept informed at all times and were able to see the care notes online after each visit. As a family, we could not have managed without the support of the team at Better Care. Would highly recommend!

I genuinely cannot speak highly enough of this agency. The care that my mother-in-law received was truly exceptional. It's not easy to see a loved one struggling to keep their independence - she was vehemently against going into a home - and who are we to go against her wishes? The team at Better Care
at Home really made her feel special, they brought a daily dose of professionalism, compassion and laughter, which is often the best medicine! It's the smallest things that make a difference, like taking the time to discuss with my mother-in-law what she wanted to wear that day. Their visits were always very well-organised, nothing was too much trouble and communication with my husband and I was exceptional. They always gave us regular updates, which was really reassuring as we live so far away. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the team for their patience and kindness. Her life was enriched by their support.

I have found this agency to be excellent in their care for my stepmum. They are caring, efficient and all the carers are cheerful, professional, well trained and well informed. The communication between the team and with me is excellent. I see a mini report online after every visit, and, for example,
when my stepmum asked to have porridge for breakfast instead of cereal, it happened the next day and consistently after. These are the things that matter to the client. They make sure stepmum gets to the hairdresser, the vet for her dog, doctors appointments, hearing aid clinic etc. I live 200 miles away so it is a enormous benefit to have this support.
They are really quick to get in touch if they spot any concerns or things I need to know about.
As far as I can tell (the team are, of course, discreet and professional) they look after their staff too.
Highly recommended.

Better Care at Home East provided care to Mum for six months and I can't rate them highly enough. All the staff were extremely professional, sensitive, caring and accommodating of Mum's needs and wishes, such as driving her to have her hair done at her favourite hairdresser. She saw the same carers
so they became familiar to her and they were reliable as she never missed a visit.
Not living near to Mum, I found the direct communication with me extremely helpful. I was kept updated of how Mum was and informed of any concerns that developed and a discussion had with me when Mum wasn't able to make a decision for herself. This was invaluable, especially as Mum deteriorated quite rapidly.
I was dealing with a number of different professionals, doctors, social care etc. and on more than one occasion, I was reassured to hear that these professionals knew of Better Care at Home East and rated the service they provided.
Mum really couldn't have had better care. Thank you.

Peace of mind.
The team are very friendly and professional, answering any questions or queries almost immediately.
Contact is very good with a group chat so all parties can message each other about any concerns which makes it very transparent.
Care team have a very structured routine and welfare
checks carried out every day.

The team have provided health care for a year now and the whole family have been very glad to have them. The entire team are well-trained and reliable. Nothing is too much trouble and their communication with the family is excellent. Sometimes a chat or a joke are just as important as the physical

I cannot rate the service from Better Care too highly. My mother receives excellent personal care, and the carers are very aware of her needs. They are able to let me know of any problems that arise and are happy to make suggestions about things that can improve my mother's daily life.
She looks forward
to their daily visits, and they are an integral part of enabling her to continue to live at home.

Excellent carers. We have been using Better Care since March/April 2023. Been a life saver for my mum who was struggling with some self help skills eg: taking her medication. This is now administered daily by her carers who also provide that social connection she enjoys.

I can not speak highly enough about the care and friendliness my mother has received from all those from Better Care at Home East. Nothing is too much for them, from changing beds, to collecting and administering medication. Looking after any ailments that have arisen and promptly dealt with. Helping
with household chores. Constant contact with family as and when things arise, which also works both ways. Always answers any of our problems asap. A definite 5 star company

Joannah Bishop

Joannah has always been a caring, compassionate person, striving to put the health, feelings and safety of others first. It was these traits that gave her the vision to form a care company that does just that. She is now trained to Gold Standard in End of Life Care, recently also undertaking Living Well Dying Training to become a Death Doula. Joannah also holds certificates in Dementia Care, Level 5 Lifesaving, Catastrophic Bleeding and a Distinction Diploma (level 3 & 5) in Health and Social Care, and it doesn’t end there, Joannah is constantly adding to her qualifications.
