£31.50 per hour weekdays, £35.50 weekends. Bank Holidays are time and a half, Christmas Day and New Year's Day are double time. There are no surcharges or additional costs to add!
The foundation of all our care is a one hour visit, because we don't think effective, compassionate care can be delivered in less. However if only a thirty minute or forty-five minute call is require, in the evening for example we are very happy to accommodate that. There is no minimum provision, if the client only wants or needs, one hour a week we are delighted to assist.

Thank you very much. I particularly appreciate that you point out that it is entirely possible to be efficient and still be caring. This is the essence of person centered care which requires a professional but entirely human approach. I fully understand the four star score for value for money but our fees are entirely driven by both National Minimum Wage and soon, the increase in Employers National Insurance Contributions. The costs of providing care which meets the CQC's standards of being Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led are now huge and sadly will only increase. Thank you for your considered review.

Thank you so much for your kind review. Completing the 'tasks' on a care plan are obviously important and, can be critical. The importance of having genuinely caring staff who, have the time for conversation and to listen, should never be overlooked. This time also allows trained, professional caregivers to observe and monitor: is the client in good spirits?, are they communicating as usual, are they sitting comfortably -essentially looking for changes which could indicate, infection, progression of a condition or a low mood, all of which are hugely significant. This is person-centred care.

It is particularly gratifying to see your comment about training which, is a very high priority for us. We are very unusual in having our own in-house personal care training which, is usually taught on the job. We have very high standards for our CareGivers which, begin with initial screening, through induction and continue into five days of induction training. We see induction training as very much part of the on-boarding process and not everyone who starts the training goes on to finish it. Thank you for your comments about our service. Our rosters are prepared a week in advance, so if there are some slight changes in times, clients are aware. It is our policy for our caregivers to advise the office if they are running late so that we, in turn, can let our clients know. We also pay our CareGivers above the National Living Wage, so not only are we looking after our caregivers, but we can attract and retain the best. Our prices are therefore directly linked to the National Living Wage which, has increased alot and frequently. There is also a significant cost in ensuring that we follow the CQC's key lines of enquiry, which means that the service must be safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led. Unfortunately, it is now very expensive to run a fully compliant care company. Thanks again for your comments.

David has a commercial and general management background. During 2020 he, like many, questioned if there could be, or should be, more to his working life. The answer was a resounding yes and he realised that the route to care had been signposted many times in his life and he was introduced to Right at Home UK. He now believes moving into care was the best decision he has ever made as it is truly a privilege to work within this sector and serve the community.

As the Registered Manager, Claire has responsibility for both the quality and the compliance of the care delivered. This means she will be very familiar with the needs of every client and will have interviewed every CareGiver herself. The role of the RM within a care company is most important, as they are the first point of call for the CQC.
Claire has a Degree in Psychology with Health Studies and has worked in the care sector for over twenty years. During this time Claire has amassed valuable experience in all areas of care.
Job Title: Care Co-Ordinator

The Care Co-Ordinator is responsible for scheduling calls for our CareGivers to fit in with the requirements of the Clients, whilst also planning the most effective routes with sufficient travelling time between calls. Danielle ensures that visits are made, and that care is delivered in a timely manner. With many years in the Care sector, Danielle has a Level Three Diploma in Health and Social Care and a Foundation degree in Nursing. Before taking on this role Danielle was previously our Senior CareGiver.

In her role as a Field Care Supervisor, Mandy conducts supervisions with CareGivers and reviews with Clients as well as sharing the ‘on-call’, out-of-hours duties, with Claire and Danielle. Being 'on-call' can also include visiting Caregivers and clients as required, as all of the team at Right at Home Loughborough, are always ‘carers’ first.
Mandy has another string to her bow, in that she has multidiscipline ‘train-the-trainer’ accreditation so, she delivers most of our training to new CareGivers and as part of the constant refreshers and updates for CareGivers.
