Home Instead looked after my aunt with a level of care and dedication that you would be hard pushed to find elsewhere. They dedicated their time to ensuring she could remain at home, cooking, cleaning and doing anything required to ensure she lived in a dignified way. When the time came for her to leave
us, you could see that the team who cared for her were visibly upset. That loving and caring environment is what makes Home Instead top class. Thanks.

From the moment I contacted Home Instead on the phone, I was confident I had made the right choice. A first meeting was made to suit my travel arrangements, everything was explained fully and our needs and requests were readily met. The carers who came to help my sister were without fail friendly, helpful
and very professional. Even though their help covered quite a short time, all the carers became more like friends to my sister. I felt that they all understood the background to her illness and showed a real understanding about her needs and how best to fulfil them and care for her in a thoughtful and understanding way.
For me, my niece and other sisters, Home Instead gave us a sense of support and shared responsibility at a time when we were worried and concerned about our sister's health. I really cannot praise everyone too highly and thoroughly recommend Home Instead to everyone.

My wife has been receiving care from Home Instead for over two and a half years. During that time, I have built up a good relationship with a variety of carers. All have been professional and caring in a situation that has complex needs, as my wife is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's.
On the administrative
side, carers who run the office have always been flexible and responsive to a situation that has required adaptation over time.
We have been fortunate to find a caring agency that has responded so personally to our needs.

Job Title: Managing Director

I was inspired to get involved with Care at Home after watching my Grandmother decline so quickly after going into what was supposed to be one of the UK’s very best Residential Homes. She did not want to leave her home and I know that if Home Instead had existed in those days her final years would have been joyful.


After over 10 years operating in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire, serving hundreds of clients, I know the quality we bring to people who choose care at home in Stroud and the South Cotswolds and that, simply, is down to the quality and compassion of the CAREGivers we choose and train. In Gloucestershire and Worcestershire we were the first Home Care Agencies to be rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.


My particular passion in care is for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia - my Mum had Alzheimer’s so I witnessed first hand the effects on her and my family and the benefits of great care at home from the same team of people she got to see every day. I hold a degree in dementia studies and my senior leadership teams receive training up to MA level from the University of Worcester so that we can keep innovating in this area of care.


We are pleased to have been recognised by Industry watchdog LaingBuisson as the UK’s No.1 quality Home Care Agency, and hold the Queens Award for Enterprise for Innovation in dementia care.


I live in Gloucestershire with my wife and teenage twins and love being in the countryside - particularly enjoying the fantastic pubs and great food we have in the area.

I was passionate about looking after people and my first career was as a Nursing Assistant specialising in care for older people and those with dementia.


Throughout my career, as I moved into Management I have believed that the quality of care delivered to a client depends on the compassion and genuinely caring nature of the staff, and if you don’t make the grade you will not be working for me!


I was appointed as a Care Quality Commission Registered Manager in 2017 and have continued with my training and qualifications as I believe that we need to constantly be aware of best practice and how to implement it to benefit our Clients.


I have lived in this area all my life and my home is just a few miles from our Stonehouse offices. I live with my husband and young son and when time permits I love nothing more than to get out riding in our beautiful countryside.
