Home Instead have been invaluable to my mum being able to stay at home and more recently her recovery after coming out of hospital.
Mum enjoyed all her visits from her care team and built some good friendships. Mum would often tell me how happy she was with the lovely ladies who visited and how much
she enjoyed her outings with them.
After Mum came out of hospital she needed full-time care. The manager has been amazing, always supportive, listening to our needs and tailoring the care accordingly.
Live-in care was put in place as soon as Mum was out of hospital. The lovely lady who lives with Mum has been wonderful. With her care, warmth, humour and understanding Mum has been getting better and stronger.
My family especially my mum, sister and myself are so grateful for all that Homeinstead have done.

Can not fault the help we have received so far. Their patience, kindness, friendliness and helpfulness have been exceptional. Nothing seems too much, weekend 'help' texts have been answered immediately. I like their personal touch, they make their service users feel relaxed and feel they are special.

Two carers come to help my partner. They are both very good and helpful. They put him at ease. His dementia is causing him a lot of stress and they are making him much more relaxed.

My dad is happy with the arrangement that has been put in place.
I have arranged my visits to happen when the carers visit to ensure good communication between us and to ensure any specific requests are confirmed.
The app ensures I am up to date even when not in the area.

I am more than pleased with the care my father is receiving. The carers are professional, engaged and socially competent. It is a great help to all, that the visits have a time plan that is kept to and the hour of the visit is always honoured. The local manager leads from the front and will on occasion
take part in visits (i.e hands on) to ensure and check the appropriate level of care. I am sure this is part of the reason the morale amongst the carers I have met is so high - not always guaranteed in this service sector.
I can wholly recommend Home Instead for the care for the frail and elderly, maybe approaching the end, who wish to remain at home.

I’ve been using Home Instead since returning home from hospital. From the beginning, everything was done efficiently and promptly. The manager helped set up my care plan and has been checking in regularly. The ladies that come and visit are very nice, friendly and easy to chat to. Nothing seems to be
too much for them. They have helped build my confidence and get through day to day routines after my surgery. I will be recommending them to everyone.

My long standing friend has been having careers three times a day from Home Instead (Medway & Gravesham) for three months now, and cannot speak highly enough of them. He lives opposite me so I can see comings and goings, the carers are always on time and are there for a full hour each time they call.
They are all very kind and caring, and my old friend (98 years old) now looks forward to their visits. Also, the care coordinators are vert good and any time I am concerned I can ring them, so in all everything is excellent.

After a 6 month stay in hospital, and then 5 weeks in a respite home, my mum needed to get back to her own home to fully recover. Home Instead came to our rescue in order to make that day happen. From the moment she left the respite home we were met by a friendly team who initially came in 3 times a
day to help Mum with a peg feed system. They soon became friends, and part of the family, and Mum looked forward to their visits. Five months later Mum had the peg feed system removed, and although the care visits are now reduced, Home instead still visit her a couple of hours a week to take her out shopping/a visit to the garden centre/a coffee and chat. I can’t recommend or thank the team enough.

Home Instead provided an excellent service for my friend. First of all, just visiting her twice a day for breakfast and dinner, then gradually as her health deteriorated they provided live-in care. I met most of the carers who were warm and diligent and I had quite of a lot of contact with the management
throughout, who were very competent and helpful and kept me in the loop wherever possible.

Home Instead (Medway), have cared for both my parents for over a year and during that time not only have they both been beautifully cared for with dignity and respect but so have we. It has been very stressful watching both our parents deteriorate but I have felt I could trust their judgment and discuss
any difficulties we have had with confidence we will be able to find a solution. They have been patient, kind and compassionate with all of us which has helped at a very difficult time.

Home Instead were brilliant carers for my terminally ill mum. They came highly recommended and understood mum's needs from the start. A staff member visited mum initially at home to discuss her care and then saw her whilst she was in hospital. Her knowledge and experience of the care system and caring
for the elderly is exemplary. Even though her health was beginning to fail, Mum knew they were all loving and caring towards her. All of the carers were well trained and highly professional during every visit and treated Mum with dignity until her final breath. They went above and beyond to make sure Mum was comfortable. The little things made a huge difference - like cutting flowers from the garden to go beside her bed, giving her a haircut, repairing her glasses and making us numerous cups of tea so we could sit with her until the end. The familiarity of faces for Mum always made her smile. All of the carers were outstanding in their care for Mum. Thank you Home Instead. You are all incredible.

My name is Karina and I am the Care Manager here at Home Instead Medway.


I got into care by chance. I had volunteered my nail technician services at a local day centre for the elderly one summer, I enjoyed it so much I had a complete career change and became a full-time CAREGiver. With hard work and dedication and most importantly the passion to deliver high-quality care, over the years my career in health and social care blossomed.


I have worked as a CAREGiver, senior CAREGiver and as Deputy Manager in a residential home for many years. I took a break in my career for a couple of months in 2021 after working tirelessly throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.


I then discovered Home Instead Medway and it just felt right! It was delightful to hear the company has such fantastic values. Home Instead Values are aimed at delivering High-quality person-centred care that is relationship-led with focus of continuity of care with the client in the middle. CAREGivers are not rushed and have enough time to offer truly person-centred care and for example, all calls are a minimum of an hour long. All of this really resonated with me and clearly sets Home Instead apart from its competitors.


Home Instead Medway's vision, mission, and values match my own personal expectations when it comes to providing high-quality person-centred care to clients. I am passionate about providing high-quality compassionate care to clients and strongly believe in the training and development of our CAREGivers, two things that set Home Instead apart

After successfully completing an initial three days of 'Learning and Development Assessment Programs' with us, to ensure that they have the skills they need, they are matched with each of our clients. This matching process is based on interests, personality, and background to ensure that quality relationships can be built with our clients.


Our Care Professional receive ongoing specialist training, mentoring, and support to ensure that they always deliver the very best care.


They don’t wear uniforms – just a Home Instead ID badge – and a lovely smile!
