Nothing is too much trouble for the management team to arrange or address. Any problems are dealt with immediately and with positive outcomes. The carers are polite and treat Mum kindly and with care and respect.

All the care we received was outstanding. Always on time, nothing was ever too much for them to do. The carers were always very passionate about the care that they gave, always made time to sit and chat with them, and made the client feel relaxed and at ease. Dad always looked forward to them coming,
they made him smile/laugh which made his day. I will always be thankful to them all for that.

The team and management have been very helpful in their support of my uncle allowing his transition from hospital to have to be sped up and for him to be discharged home much more quickly.
Since he has come home they have been more than supportive and we have been able to relax knowing that his best
interests are being cared for and we don't have to worry as much.

I had respite care while my family went on holiday. The care I received was wonderful. I had different carers come to me, but they were all lovely, helpful and caring. They made me feel comfortable with each one of them, which when you are not well, means a lot.

My family and I were delighted with the care you provided over the last year and a half of her life. All the staff we came into contact with were very professional, caring and a pleasure to welcome into our home.
As my wife's condition deteriorated and she needed more help, she was treated with gentle
care and utmost dignity in difficult circumstances.
I would like to thank everyone for their help and for being such nice caring people.

I cannot begin to even find the word to express how wonderful this care company actually is, from the initial enquiry right through to my grandma’s last visit, they have provided exemplary care. They have treated my grandma with the upmost dignity and respect throughout. To all the team, you have all
been wonderful and an absolute pleasure to welcome into our grandma’s home. Thank you so much for everything you have done for her, and for us as a family. Grandma passed away peacefully and comfortable at home, and that was made possible by you all so thank you.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

Job Title: Branch Care Manager

About me

My role as a Branch Care Manager is to ensure that the branch runs as smoothly as possible and that my staff team provide an outstanding quality of care for our customers. I deal with all the compliance and CQC regulations of the business, as well as developing the company with new business and maintaining the packages currently in place.

I joined the care industry at eighteen years old and since have worked my way up the carer ladder to where I am today. This has enabled me to see care from all different aspects of the job, from providing good care myself to people, to move into the management side of care. I have worked in a variety of care settings including learning disabilities and mental health services, child services and the elderly.

I feel at Helping Hands that we provide a can-do attitude towards our services and customers, which enables many of our customers to continue living in the home they love, with a person-centred approach around their individual needs. My team of carers are all highly trained and each one can add that personal touch to the customers’ needs and wishes.

In my spare time, you will find me spending time with my horses, either knee-deep in mud, or enjoying the sunshine. I also have two children, and I enjoy sports so if I’m not out doing my own hobby you will find me either standing next to a football pitch, boxing ring or ice-hockey rink.

Experience and expertise

I started my career at the age of eighteen supporting five ladies in their own homes. This is when I fell in love with the care sector and really enjoyed supporting people and enabling individuals to live the best life they possibly can. From here, I went into the mental health sector and worked as a senior support worker in a locked gate community, supporting people back into the community from secure settings. It was from here that I went into the children's sector and worked in children’s homes. I then went on to be a team manager for a care company. I then moved to Help Hands in April 2019 as a care coordinator in Chesterfield before moving to Sutton-in-Ashfield to become a branch manager. I have experience in supporting and assessing carers through their NVQ up to Level 3 in health and social, and I currently have my Level 3 in leading a team in health and social care and am working towards my Level 5 in leadership and management.

Why I chose Helping Hands

I chose to come and work for Helping Hands as the motto of kindness really got me in the advert for the job and I can honestly say that this is the way with Helping Hands. There is always someone there to help and support you with a smile on their face at the same time. I am looking forward to helping and supporting customers to live their best lives and developing an outstanding team of carers who are going to help me achieve this in my branch.

I love my job because it enables me to meet different people from all different walks of life and I am able to share my journey and experiences with them.
