Alcedo Care Bury believe that everyone should be empowered to live their lives as they wish, including having the choice to remain living in their own home with the support required in order to live a fulfilling and active life.

They pride themselves on providing the best value for money home care service in the region, they have a team of over 40 dedicated, compassionate and professional carers who are led by an exceptional Management Team. In addition to this, they use the latest technology meaning that their clients or their relatives can have real time access to their care records and daily logs from anywhere in the world whenever they choose.

Their carers are highly organised, hard-working and genuinely passionate about making a difference to clients' well being. As a caring company, Alcedo Care spends a lot of time matching the right carers with the right clients, ultimately creating a comfortable relationship that enables a carer to meet the exact needs of a client in their own environment. They aim to minimise the number of different carers that the service user has to deal with on a regular basis, after all, the primary concern is improving the service user's quality of life and health, without adding any extra stress to their lives.

Each person has their specific requirements, and are assessed as such. The team work closely with each client to determine what kind of support or care they'll need ultimately producing a carefully drafted unique, person-centred care plan which is then agreed and signed off by the client.

Very pleased with the services provided for my aunt. Management very approachable and constantly in touch with feedback/any concerns or advice for ongoing care. The carers have been fantastic, well-trained and experienced, and caring girls. Never had problems with punctuality or cancellations. My aunt
has tried different companies before so it's a relief and peace of mind knowing my aunt is in capable hands. Highly recommend.

My wife suffers from Dementia. I wanted to care for her at home. Alcedo offered a good program of care, giving the best service to her needs at home. The carers are well trained, they treat my wife with respect and dignity. They are polite and respect our house privacy. The management staff are approachable
and supportive.

Job Title: Group Head of Operations

Hello, my name is Jane.


With over 20 years of experience in Operations, spanning both commercial enterprises and the healthcare sector, I was immediately drawn to Alcedo Care after meeting its Directors, Jo and Andy.


The company's strong reputation, unwavering focus on delivering outstanding care, and genuine investment in its staff made it an exciting opportunity. I was particularly inspired by Alcedo Care's commitment to its core values, its family-like culture, and ambitious growth plans. The diverse range of services, including children's care, nursing, and various domiciliary and complex care packages, further confirmed that this was the right organisation for me.


My career initially began in a very different field—Marine Biology. I studied at the University of St. Andrews, conducted research at the North American Arctic Research Center, and even spent a summer on a small island in the Bristol Channel. Along the way, I gained some unique skills, from driving tractors to caring for rescued seal pups.


Transitioning into Operations across various commercial industries provided me with a deep understanding of operational management, including overseeing global exhibition projects for major brands. However, as my priorities shifted, particularly with my daughters growing up, I felt drawn to the care sector. That decision changed everything—I found a true passion for making a meaningful difference in people’s lives through my work.


My extensive experience in both commercial and healthcare settings has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set, helping me navigate operational challenges and ensure seamless service delivery. What truly motivates me is ensuring that our dedicated staff feel valued, supported, and engaged, so they can provide the best personalised care for those we support.


As the Group Head of Operations, my focus is on driving operational excellence, identifying areas for improvement, ensuring the highest quality standards, and supporting the continued growth of our services. My ultimate goal is to create an environment where both our clients and staff feel valued, supported, and confident in the care we provide.

Hi, I am Faye Fenton and I am the Operations Manager at Alcedo Care Bury. My role in short is to oversee the day-to-day running of our homecare service. I am responsible for ensuring that our service meets all legal and regulatory requirements (according to CQC), and ultimately ensure that we are providing excellent quality, person-centred care to our clients.


I am the registered manager here at Alcedo Care Bury, I have worked within the care sector since I was 18. I have always enjoyed working within the sector and have always wanted to make a difference in the way that home care is delivered.
