The care was provided with dignity and respect and I was alerted by the team if they had any concerns. The team made a huge difference to the quality of my mum's final days and were really flexible in their approach to suit my mum's needs.
Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback.
I have taken on board the issues you have raised in regard to the change in rota and not being notified if there is a change with the carer. Moving forward I will ensure that if the carer is changed for any reason you will be notified with a new rota and a phone call.
In regard to your invoice, we have been in contact with each other and the billing department and this has now been resolved. If you have any further issues please contact me via email or call the branch.
Thank you again for your feedback.

Hi Hazel
Thank you for taking the time to complete the feedback form.
Since you gave this feedback we have been in touch and have agreed that any changes to your mum's care call times will be notified to you via a phone call.
The care coordinator has looked at the allocation of calls and the times between the calls and again this matter has now been resolved.
I am sorry that you feel the communication with me was not acceptable.
The changes that we have made in regard to our communication with you and the changes to the call times will hopefully now be satisfactory.
Please contact me If you have any further concerns and I will be happy to address them.
Best wishes
Ravinder

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.715) out of 10 for Helping Hands Home Care (Swadlincote) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.815 for Helping Hands Home Care (Swadlincote) is calculated as follows: ( (44 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 54 Ratings = 4.815
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)
The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Helping Hands Home Care (Swadlincote) is based on 9 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.9
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Branch Care Manager
About me
As the Registered Branch Manager at Swadlincote, my main responsibility is to ensure that we deliver high quality, person centred care to our customers, ensuring their needs are met. In my role I take compliance very seriously and always adhere to the CQC regulations to ensure that we provide a Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well Led service for both customers and my staff.
My background is mainly in supported housing, which I worked in for over 16 years and I have a passion for helping people and making a difference in their lives. Both my parents worked for the NHS and in later years when my father was diagnosed with vascular dementia, my mother became his main carer and I supported her with this and saw first-hand how important it was to have good support for not only the vulnerable adult, but also their family.
I am so proud of our ever-expanding team of care assistants and their passion for providing excellent person centre care to our customers and to see the difference they are making already is fantastic and confirms I made the right decision coming here.
I have three grown up sons, Sam, Alex and Reece, a chocolate Labrador called Reggie and a Cavachon called Lola who are my world. In my spare time I love to travel, socialise with friends and going for long walks with Reggie and Lola and my guilty pleasure is reality TV!
My experience and expertise
I started my working career in clerical and administration working up to a personal assistant and then on to being a legal secretary but as I got older, I felt something was missing and that I wanted to help people and make a difference and so I took the brave decision of a whole new change in career! I went and got a temporary job as a Careline emergency call operator working in 24 hour/365 days a year control room and found I absolutely loved it as I was providing an emergency service to the elderly and vulnerable in the area and after 6 months, I was taken on permanently. After a while I was promoted to a supervisor over the control room and the supported housing team. In order to expand my knowledge, I secured a job with another authority as a Supported Housing Manager overseeing the emergency Careline team and the floating support service and consistently achieved TSA accreditation for the service I managed and attained my CIH Level 4 Certificate in Housing Practice. I then took another leap of faith and took a promotion to also manage the tenancy management team within the authority.
Since joining Helping Hands in June 2021, I have gained Registered Manager status and I am currently studying my Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
Why I chose Helping Hands
When I saw that Helping Hands were opening a new branch in Swadlincote, I decided to take yet another leap of faith and take on a new challenge within domiciliary care and what better way to start a new career than to join the leader in the care sector and an award-winning homecare provider! I am excited to be part of such an amazing company who has a foundation of kindness and who supports and believes in its staff and their progression and I am grateful that I was given the chance to show the difference me and my team can make to our amazing customers.
