b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.875 for Helping Hands Home Care (Wigston) is calculated as follows: ( (42 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.875
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)
The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Helping Hands Home Care (Wigston) is based on 8 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.8
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Branch Care Manager
About me
Hi, I'm Mary, the Branch Manager at Helping Hands Wigston. I feel honoured to be heading up this new branch and cannot wait to have a passionate & dynamic team of both office and care staff alongside me to support people in our local community whatever their needs may be. I am responsible for the smooth operation of day-to-day business as well mentoring new carers and meeting with potential customers to establish their support needs. I am extremely passionate about the services we provide at Helping Hands and strive for excellence. As a team, we are continuously looking to improve in every way possible. I am also driven to better myself and progress my own knowledge and experiences throughout my career.
In my spare time, I like to travel and see new places, have weekends away, meals out and spend time with my family and friends.
Experience and expertise
I have worked in Health and Social care sector since the age of 18, with now over 20 years of experience, I am a naturally caring person. I began my career as a care assistant and have worked in many other roles, always in the domiciliary sector, including Branch Manager. My responsibilities have included staff management, compliance, and working with local authorities to provide a good service.
Throughout my career, I have been lucky enough to be able to complete numerous qualifications, including NVQ Level 2/3 and Leadership and Management at Level 5.
Why I chose Helping Hands
I am excited to be at the forefront of welcoming a new business into my local community for which I have a great passion. I decided to join Helping Hands because I wanted to be part of a company that shares the same values and passion for care that I do, their foundation is based on kindness for customers and staff alike! Helping Hands takes great pride in its staff and this is something I feel very passionate about. I thrive on providing a good quality service to my customers; treating them and staff fairly and with kindness to create a successful branch for Helping Hands. I enjoy meeting people in my role, knowing I can make a difference and help people in my community to stay in their homes for as long as possible.
