I have had visits from carers since early last year. They have all been kind and very pleasant. It is nice to have a variety of ladies come in to get my lunch and do various jobs. Some days they are the only people I see. They are all kind and helpful.

The carer has been friendly and has encouraged me to become involved in activities such as jigsaws and drives around the district. I would prefer visits in the morning if possible.

Joined: 2012

India has been working at Helping Hands for 10 years now and has been on a great career journey throughout that time. India started as a Care Assistant and over the last decade has progressed through the ranks, ticking off the Care Training Practitioner and Care Coordinator roles before becoming a Registered Branch Manager.


India has a passion for dementia care and is currently undertaking a dementia leadership course with Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS to further the knowledge she has developed throughout her working life. She is also working towards her Level 5 in Management of Health and Social Care.


About her care team, India said: "Fortunately at Helping Hands we employ all of our staff directly, and train them in house too. I would have no doubt sending any of our carers to my own family and am confident that they provide an excellent, person-centred service to every one of our customers."
