From a young age, my life has been shaped by a profound passion for providing unwavering care and support to those in need. To me, this isn't just a job; it's a calling that has defined my purpose.
My journey in the field of caregiving was inspired by the challenges my own family faced in finding reliable and compassionate care for our ageing loved ones. These personal experiences became the driving force behind my commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others, particularly seniors who deserve the utmost respect, dignity, and care.
In my role as the Registered Care Manager, I bring to the table not only professional expertise but also a deep understanding of the emotional and practical aspects of caregiving. I am dedicated to ensuring that every individual under our care receives the highest quality of support, tailored to their unique needs.
My philosophy revolves around fostering a culture of compassion and empathy within the Home Instead Portsmouth community. I believe that every person deserves to age with grace and dignity, surrounded by a caring support system. I work closely with our team to create an environment where not only the physical needs but also the emotional well-being of our clients are prioritised.

My own Mum was thankfully in receipt of really good care in the later stages of her life. I was able to see first-hand just the transformation it had on her well-being, despite her being so desperately unwell. I know that the sad reality is that many are not as fortunate, and I have set out to make it my mission that no one needlessly endures poor-quality care.
Recognising potential was what drove me in my previous career as a primary school teacher and is what drives me now. Whether a person is 8 or 88 does not negate the fact that they all have hopes, dreams and aspirations. My task is to find out what these are and ensure that these goals are met and exceeded with dignity and care.
I am fortunate to have been intrinsically involved with the wider Home Instead family now for several years as either owner and/or manager of two previous offices. I can honestly say that without fail I have yet to meet someone in Home Instead who does not feel passionately about what we do. It really is who we are. Whilst with my previous offices we were inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and rated as Outstanding, an achievement given to only 3% of providers. To achieve this twice in two different territories is an achievement I am very proud of and I intend to ensure that Home Instead Portsmouth follows suit as benefits the people of the Portsmouth area.
I am the proud mum of 3, tall, talented, handsome sons: The Adventurer, The Musician, and The Artist. AKA Sam, Josh and Zac. In my spare time, I like to dance and sing. Not necessarily all at the same time, but it has been known! I also enjoy a daily walk by the sea looking across at this fine city we serve.
