We became very disillusioned with the care company my father was allocated on discharge from hospital in December 2023, so in early December 2024 we changed to Hygea Homecare. They were more expensive, but the difference was amazing and we actually feel they are interested and more importantly that
they care. The pre-assessment meeting was extremely thorough and they heeded our wishes. The carers are kind and friendly and the office staff are always prompt in answering my queries. I would not hesitate in recommending Hygea Homecare.

I could not recommend Hygea Homecare enough! My nanna has been receiving daily care on and off since September 2022 with more frequent visits from September 2024 after suffering double pneumonia. The quality of service provided is always 5 star and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful.
There is comfort knowing that my nanna is being cared for to an exceptional standard as well as providing her with companionship. Thank you to everyone at Hygea.

Hygea has provided care for my 92yo father since August 2024. I can highly recommend the company. They have always provided an excellent standard of care and have supported not only my father but also been very kind and considerate to me during some difficult incidents.

Treat dad with care and dignity. Keep family informed. The carers deal with tricky situations very well and often stay over time if need is necessary. Doctor is called directly and medication sorted promptly.

Will always turn up, reliable, thorough, every carer I've met has a very cheerful and positive attitude. Excellent support and service and nothing is too much trouble for the carers giving mum the adequate care she requires.
The daily visits and support give mum the opportunity to engage with the carers and have topical discussions.

We have used Hygea Homecare to help with Companion Care for my mother for the last couple of months. The only reason we are stopping the visits is because my mother is moving into residential care.
Hygea and their carers have been brilliant. Not only with the tasks you would expect but also extensive
searching for lost phones and purses etc. The team have always been friendly and kind and kept us fully updated
I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

We were desperate to get Mum home and have the right care in place. Hygea did everything possible to make this happen quickly and smoothly. The carers are experienced, patient, calm and friendly. Hygea made sure that the care package was aligned to Mum's needs and were flexible and supportive around
appointments and hospital visits.
Behind the scenes, the team behind the Hygea service are accessible, approachable and dedicated to delivering the best service. There is an online portal where you can view schedules, notes and any other details and this gives added peace of mind.
I am very happy to be able to recommend the excellent Hygea Team to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy and caring service.

I would recommend Hygea Homecare, they are very professional and friendly, all the carers have been very supportive towards my in-laws treating them with respect and maintaining their dignity at all times. My Mother-In-Law has Dementia and doesn't hold a conversation but they always talk to her and
get her singing which helps to get her motivated.

It started with a personal chat about my dad and his needs it was a open and easy meeting after we had another meeting with my dad there and got to know his needs and wants. I got in touch after I was given a different care team when my dad first left hospital that did not work well with my dad and
left him alone with his pills they helped me secure his pills away and now give him his pills as and when he needs them. Along with his medication care they offer him food and company. I can not thank them enough for all the help they give my dad and myself.

Joanne worked for the NHS for 12 years within the Community Rehabilitation, Falls and Bone Health Team, as an Assistant Practitioner, working alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Community Matrons to name but a few.

She also has a wealth of knowledge and experience in Domiciliary Care that she acquired from being a Community Carer in the early years and then from Management Roles, in Social Services and the Private Sector. Joanne has a very hands-on approach to her work and is often seen out in the field with her team.
