Home Instead Inverclyde and North Ayrshire provide high-quality and reliable home care throughout Inverclyde and North Ayrshire.

The team empower older people to live well, championing their right to live in their own homes.

The team support the needs of older people by consistently providing high-quality, reliable care.

This starts with a comprehensive care consultation by the care manager to ensure expectations are met, a small team of care professionals is then matched with each client to support the building of a trusted relationship.

Every care professional is personally introduced to their client before each visit, shadowed on their first visit and supported throughout their journey by the care manager who works closely with care professionals and clients to ensure the quality and consistency of the care is maintained.

Their minimum visit is 1 hour as they believe that high-quality care, with the individual at the very heart of it, cannot be provided in less time.

Services include home help & housekeeping, companionship, personal care and dementia care.

Home Instead provide care and companionship to my parents twice weekly. The management are excellent, coming out to do a comprehensive assessment and really getting to know the service users. The carers who have visited my parents have all been professional, polite and courteous and most importantly
caring and friendly. Communication between the company and the family is excellent and there are regular reviews which is really helpful. The process of looking for carers was very daunting, but Home Instead really made it so much easier for us. I highly recommend their service.

A company that continually adapts its service with the changing needs of its clients and family.
We have been working with Home Instead for two years and they have gone from providing simple companionship for our mother to providing a more comprehensive 24/7 live-in/supportive service as her disease
(Alzheimer's) has progressed. This has meant recruiting different types of employees over the course of the two years - employees who are always helpful, engaged with my mother and always seeking ways to keep her stimulated, happy and safe. Home Instead has even managed to hire staff who speak my mother's languages, look after her pet, cook the food she loves and understand the culture she grew up in. With the progression of the disease, this has been critical as she regresses to her childhood self. I cannot express how much of the heavy lifting that Home Instead has done for us as a family; not just providing peace of mind but also tips and tricks for dealing with this disease.

Home Instead have been providing care to my mum for a few months now. I couldn’t be happier with the service they provide, they keep in touch and are very quick to let me know if they have any concerns about my mum's wellbeing. I love the app which details what happened during each visit.
Most importantly
my mum has built up an excellent rapport with her carers and really looks forward to their visits, they certainly brighten up her day!

We truly appreciate the care, support and kindness given to our mum, by Home Instead, when she was in need. Home Instead gave us a lifeline and was vital in keeping our mum in her own home for as long as possible. In particular, we thank the care pros for their excellent work. Caring is such an important
role and not recognised enough. We will forever be grateful.

My dad had always been very independent and prided himself on this, however, he was finding some household tasks more and more challenging. Fortunately, we found Home Instead (Inverclyde and North Ayrshire) who professionally worked with us to put together the ideal care support tailored for Dad’s needs.
The carers are just lovely and most importantly care - they take time to get to know Dad and what makes him happy. Dad has not only put on weight, he looks forward to his daily visits and this has developed into outings for coffee, shopping and even a haircut.
It has been such a positive experience not only for my dad but also for myself. Living at a distance I was only able to visit a couple of times a week. I was worried and uptight about how he was coping on his own. Now it is a delight to see him so happy, fit and positive. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes I wouldn’t have believed it.
We couldn’t recommend Home Instead (Inverclyde and North Ayrshire) more highly or be more pleased with the care.

Following hip-replacement surgery in September 2022, I decided to use Home Instead as my care provider. A member of the management team visited me at home to discuss my needs. He was flexible and helpful. A care plan was drawn up and a time agreed for them to come every morning from ten to eleven, which
suited me. They supported me getting up, dressed, making my breakfast and dealing with all my medication. They were always punctual and treated me with kindness, care and dignity. This personalised care enabled me to live at home while recovering from my operation. I would definitely recommend Home Instead for anyone who needs help in their own home as it is good quality, value for money and much cheaper than a placement in a care home.

This service was an absolute lifesaver for myself and my mother. It gave me a much needed day off as her full-time carer and my mum the company of a competent and warm carer. I was reassured by the professional attitude and high standards of care. I would recommend this service to anyone.

Even though my dad's time with 'Home Instead' was short, as he is now in a nursing home, he enjoyed the companionship and friendship that our carer provided. I have been around a couple of times recently and heard them both laughing away in the living room. They got on really well and it's reassuring
to know he's with someone who he gets along with and is in good hands. Very good communication with the company throughout and would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Home Instead enough. From my initial enquiry to their involvement with my relative, their service has been second to none. From the management team to the staff who have been working with my relative are exactly what I was looking for. Home Instead have matched the carers very well
to us. Home Instead listened to what our requirements were and have totally met the brief. My relative is much more contented on the days Home Instead are involved which gives me a huge sense of relief. Home Instead’s contact has been excellent, they contact me to enquire how things are working out and are always on hand to assist and will endeavour to help with any additional needs we may have, especially as our situation is fluid. Do not look any further for another care company. I score Home Instead 1000/10.

I needed to care for my elderly parents who needed someone to visit on the days I was working or couldn’t make it to see them.
It wasn’t really for personal care, more of a ‘back up’ which allowed my parents to continue living in their own home. My mother has cognitive impairment and my dad currently
has mobility issues.
They were matched with two carers who are fantastic. They quickly got to know my parents and became part of our lives!
My parents look forward to them coming to visit and are now very comfortable with them in the home. They’re both more than happy to do any tasks required, hairdresser visits, shopping, short walks, housework and most importantly, companionship.
I get peace of mind when I’m working a 12 hour shift knowing someone has seen my parents that day. Then I can log into the app and read the notes on how the visit went. This service is fantastic and helps me through those days.
I love the personalised service and the continuity it brings.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
