Good communication in terms of rota and billing etc. Staff are reliable and turn up on time (obviously there can always be exceptional circumstances) and treat my mother with respect and friendliness. Some are more experienced and efficient than others but most appear to listen to her needs and act
upon any issues. The originally promised team of 2-3 different staff has been more varied than that, but for our needs it's not really an issue although it means having to explain to a new person each time. Generally we're happy and it's a comfort to have the extra help and company for my Mum at her home.

My father has been receiving three visits a day for over a year. The care he receives from all the carers is wonderful. They are extremely professional and look after him so well. Nothing is too much bother and it helps the rest of the family to know he is being cared for.

When care support was first suggested to my mum, she had a very negative approach to it. After much research to find a company which best suited my mum's immediate needs and those for the future, I found Radfield Home Care and haven't looked back. Radfield has been supporting Mum now for over a year,
from the beginning, Mum's care, needs and welfare have always been at the forefront of their service. Although it took Mum some time to adjust and accept help, she now appreciates and enjoys the care she receives. Carers are friendly, and cheerful, and help in any way they can, it is lovely to hear the happiness, banter and laughter shared between them all when I am there. Radfield ensures Mum has continuity of care by providing a regular team of staff to look after her. Whilst the carer's notes are informative, giving the family peace of mind that she is being well cared for when we cannot be there. Thanks, Radfield for a top-rate service.

My mum started receiving help from Radfield in September, and after a few teething problems, the care given has been excellent. Staff are always friendly, cheerful and very helpful.
It was her first experience with a care company, so we were a little apprehensive as to the level of care we should expect,
but I cannot rate them highly enough! They bring a welcomed contact to someone living alone and peace of mind to their family.

Mum and Dad are always happy to see the carers and enjoy having a chat with them when they are there.
It has taken Mum some time to get used to having the help, but I think she now appreciates it.
The carer notes are always very precise and give me all the information that I need.
The management
team have also been extremely helpful and efficient when I have needed to speak to them.
Overall, I am extremely happy to have chosen Radfield Home Care.

It's early days as care has only recently started, but overall very pleased with how things have gone at this stage.
Information provided by the office was clear, and any questions were responded to. From what I understand carer is reliable, friendly and helpful. We were particularly happy that there

We have only just started with the carer visiting my mother however she has been much happier in herself since we put this in place and says that the carers are all lovely.
Communication with the office has also been very good.
Some time was spent with my mother before the care started which reassured

I have been very satisfied with the care received for my father. Carers arrive on time and are friendly and caring. All care tasks are carried out and unhurried. If there is additional time left carers are happy to perform further tasks or just have a chat giving Dad some companionship. He has regular
care which is great for continuity and a small team that cover time off.

Right from the first visit to do the assessment, to the carer's arriving, we just had the feeling all would go well, we were not disappointed. If a carer is going to be late there is always a phone call to say when they would be arriving. It's never more than 20 minutes. Thanks to all at Radfield.

We have been using Radfield Home Care since November, and I am very happy with the provision. My husband is having palliative care and someone coming each day to wash and dress him is really helpful. There is a team on a rota and they are all, without exception, lovely, caring people. They all follow
an agreed, detailed plan of what my husband needs and I am perfectly satisfied that he is receiving first-class care. The other important feature, apart from the way they treat my husband with dignity, is the friendly chat which he really appreciates, given his lack of social contact. They are sometimes quite late but I completely accept that it's down to the terrible local traffic congestion, although I do think that some of the transfer times between clients are unrealistic.

Mum really looks forward to seeing her carers each day. They are very patient with her and understand how to deal with all the issues that go with dementia. They are reliable and punctual. On occasions, they have been short staffed but have always given us plenty of notice so that we can arrange alternative
cover. I would 100% recommend them.

Very professional staff, from the introduction meeting, through to visiting carers, who very quickly built up a rapport with Mum. Also, organisation was flexible with some adjustments to the contract in the early days when Mum was still unsure of the new routine.

A truly caring friendly care service. The team take pride in putting the client at the centre of all tasks. They pay attention to getting the little things done exactly as the client would have done them themselves. Listening to them speaking with the client you can hear the respect they give to the

We would like to introduce you to Sharnelle Wyatt, Operations Manager for Radfield Home Care Colchester, Frinton & Clacton. Sharnelle supports, works with and helps guide the care management team and undertakes business development work in the local communities that the office services.


Sharnelle is very passionate about the quality of care received by clients. It is her view that by taking care of the Care Professionals in the field, you enable them to give the best and highest quality care possible to clients. This outlook resonates perfectly with the Radfield Home Care ethos and the Caring for our Carers PledgeTM.


Sharnelle has her own personal experiences with care for older people, which led to where she is in her career today. She tells us:


“My Grandfather was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia many years ago and I was extremely eager to learn more about the condition. I then gained a role with my first care company as a customer service rep and managed to develop the company hugely. With this, I grew my own team and was then able to complete training courses in Care Planning and Risk Assessing to enable me to go out into the community and meet lots of clients and build beautiful relationships with them. This is such a powerful passion of mine and it grows more and more every day.“


Sharnelle has previously worked as a Care Development Manager for a different care company, operating across the East of England. During her time in this role, she helped establish the company within the areas assigned to her. She spent time building relationships with consultants and local authorities to ensure projects were delivered to the highest standards.


Sharnelle is goal-driven and consistently hits and exceeds the targets she sets for herself.

We would like to introduce you to Michelle Guest, registered care manager for Radfield Home Care Colchester, Frinton & Clacton. Michelle is responsible for the day to day running of the office in line with CQC regulations and also for ensuring that the service is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led. Michelle is the key point of contact for carers, clients and their families and promotes individual’s wellbeing at all times.


“I started working in the care sector when I was 16 and although I have had office-based positions and ran my own cleaning company I have always gravitated back to the care sector. Caring for people is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had. I have worked within the sector for 34 years on and off.”


Michelle has worked with clients all across the care sector including; the elderly, adults with learning disabilities, children with Autism and people living with Dementia.


“During my time as Registered Manager, I managed a staff team of 33 and 70 apartments within an Independent Living Scheme. During this time, I joined focus groups to ensure that our customers and staff got the best possible care. I was instrumental in the implementation of Mental Health awareness training for all managers across the company.”


Michelle realised quickly that the care sector was her vocation in life. She loves being able to make someone else’s life easier by lending a hand or just making them smile. Her many years in the sector has allowed her the opportunity to see the industry change and grow and believes her experience helps her to engage with both client and Care Professional.
