Hi! I am the proud & excited owner of Right at Home Camden, Hampstead & Golders Green and I am so grateful for being able to give back to the community where I spent a lot of my childhood years growing up in. I was born in Barnet hospital (so were my two children) and I went to Manorside Primary school many years ago.
My lovely wife - Ruchi, worked as a pharmacist in Golders Green, Temple Fortune & West Hampstead and my son - Raayan will soon be attending a school in the Mill Hill area and no doubt my daughter - Aarya will follow suit. By having such affinity with the area, I can truly relate with the community and it makes it all the more special that we are able to provide care to them.
My mum was a volunteer home care assistant and as a child, I would often be with her during her visits on Saturday afternoons. As a 12-year-old, I would be lying if I said they were the most fun Saturday afternoons however, I did learn a lot from them. I learned what it means to care for someone vulnerable, how to listen to some of the greatest storytellers around, and most importantly, I learned to appreciate people, relationships, and life.
My grandmother spent her final days at our family home and I saw how much my parents cared for her. They put in so much effort, love, patience and sacrifice to make her feel as comfortable as possible. At the time, it was my responsibility to ensure she had a warm glass of milk as she went to bed each night, and looking back I wish I could have done more. Of course, there was not much else I could do but subconsciously, I believe it was then when I decided that one day, I will do something in my life that allows me to make a difference in people's lives.
So after 15 years of working in the City in various finance roles, most recently as a Finance Director for a large marketing agency, I decided it was time to give back, to do something more fulfilling, and to connect more with people. This is why I opened Right at Home covering Camden, Hampstead, Golders Green, and surrounding areas.
I am deeply passionate about the care sector and I know firsthand what excellent care should look like. I believe it is important to give the same level of care and service you would expect for yourself or loved ones.
