Job Title: Branch Care Manager
About me
As a Branch Manager, I am responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations within the care setting, including recruiting and managing staff teams, managing budgets and ensuring that the quality of the services provided is always to excellent care standards.
I have always had an interest in care, especially when my Nanna became ill; I took an interest in how she was being cared for, and how I could make a difference. At this time, I was a young mother raising my small boys, which made me more determined to go into the care sector. I joined the care sector and loved every moment of my journey, always learning and developing myself to be better and more knowledgeable to provide the best care I can give.
I am a wife and mother to 4 boys, 3 are now grown up and to see the young adults they are becoming is rewarding, knowing I was a part of their development. I am all about family; in my free time I enjoy travelling, weekends away, meals out, and socialising with family and close friends.
Experience and expertise
I have been in the care sector for 11 years now; I started as a care assistant where I found passion, and now I cannot see myself anywhere else.
I have been in many different roles within the healthcare sector, such as Field Care Supervisor, Care coordinator, On-call care coordinator, Senior care coordinator, Registered care manager, Regional operations manager, and most recently, Branch Manager at Helping Hands.
I have gained many qualifications during my years, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Health and social care, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management and currently completing Level 7 in Leadership and management, as well as a course on Operations management. I still learn every day and face new challenges and hurdles. Every day is a school day.
Why I chose Helping Hands
Helping Hands have an excellent, robust service which I wanted to be a part of due to their continued growth of service and their fantastic reviews. They strive for high performance and always give care to their best abilities. I am very proud to be a part of Helping Hands, making that difference in people’s lives.
The most rewarding part of my job is knowing the impact I have had on people’s lives and how much better we can all contribute. Seeing the “smiles” and the “thanks” you receive says more than you know. Not only is it rewarding to make a difference in customers’ lives but it’s also equally rewarding knowing I have a great team of care staff who feel appreciated working by our side.
