Very kind, friendly staff, deal with my dad's needs very well. We have a carer every morning who gets Dad up, washed and dressed very efficiently, chats nicely to him which is a great comfort to Mum. We would recommend to anyone else needing care.

From the very detailed and well-pitched initial assessment in my Dad's home to the communication throughout the whole process, we have been pleased with the service provided. The management style is very responsive, flexible, kind, and efficient, and most importantly the carers are respectful and compassionate.
Would
certainly recommend it.

Their help was invaluable, it enabled me to rest my foot after surgery. I’m a full-time caregiver for my husband and the first 8 weeks after surgery my daughter and son-in-law moved in to lighten the load. We used Caremark for two weeks after they left to break me back into caring for my husband. We
had them cook our evening meals which were delicious and the kitchen was left spotless. Would recommend this service, we accessed via careers support.

I find this service most helpful, it gives me the freedom to do what I need and confidence that I can leave my spouse in good hands. My spouse is happy and likes the lady's company and he chats with her, he doesn’t know her but she is a familiar face and pleased it’s the same lady.

Companionship was arranged for my elderly mother. The field care supervisor visited and Mum had a detailed assessment of her needs. I was very impressed with the professionalism and how detailed the assessment was completed for Mum's needs. Caremark Ashford and Shepway want to give peace of mind to
the client's family to ensure that the client is well-matched with the carer who visits. Mum has had visits by both carer and managers on occasions to ensure that things are going smoothly with the client. They are an exceptional care company who really pride on the services which they offer and genuinely care for both clients and families. I would highly recommend.

My sister and I needed to arrange urgent care for our father after a fall. They responded extremely promptly and have been brilliant in keeping us informed of what’s going on. They have also been very professional and sensitive when dealing with our mother who has moderate dementia. It has certainly
been reassuring to us both as we don’t live nearby.
We are very happy with the relationship that is developing between the staff and our parents and cannot thank them enough.

I was getting increasingly worried about my 87-year-old Dad living on his own. He was needing more TLC than I could give him and I did not know where to turn. I rang Caremark and had a chat. After a meeting with them at Dad's home I could sense my Dad's acceptance of change immediately - something that
never happens, so knew he was comfortable, which is obviously critical. I also felt a massive weight lifted from me, and having had the care in place for a couple of weeks now I already feel like I am returning to being a daughter. The team are brilliant - friendly, professional, kind and communicative. I would recommend anyone who is worried about a relative to contact Caremark. The first step is the hardest, but I am so glad to have found them.

Caremark have been asked to sit with Mum two afternoons a week for a few weeks. The carers have arrived on time and been very pleasant and engaging with Mum. This cover has enabled me to have a break, knowing Mum (ninety years old) is being assisted and looked after. We are hoping to employ Caremark
to look after Mum on a more permanent basis once the care package has been authorised.

I can not praise this service enough; they have been a breath of fresh air from the other care services that my dad has had. I live two hundred miles away, and it’s been a relief to know that my dad is now being cared for. This service has gone above and beyond to help and support my dad. It’s been

My dad started having carers from April, he has dementia. From the start, they got to know him and adapt a personnel care plan to suit all his needs. The assessment was brilliant where they made sure they got to know Dad, his likes, dislikes and what his life has been like, hobbies, jobs and even his
favourite football team, so they always have something to chat to him about.
They always have a smile and Dad always looks forward to seeing them
We cannot fault the professional standard of Caremark. Brilliant timekeeping, priority in making sure Dad stays safe, a caring and willing to help in anyway team.
Recommend 100%.

Very pleased with the care received from all the staff at Caremark. All the help received for my husband was done with care and dignity, he loves joking around with them, even though it's his own little world. Enjoy having their help to give me a break knowing he's in safe hands.
I would strongly
recommend Caremark for anyone needing help.

The Caremark cleaners who have been to my home have been very professional, very caring and kind. When cleaning they have ensured my son is safe as he is relearning to walk after major trauma. They have checked on him very kindly, although this is not their main purpose, and whether he is having a good
or bad day, they are caring and professional. He looks forward to their visit as I work full-time and it breaks up his day. He is still quite housebound at present so having someone he can trust and is happy to have a quick chat with is good for him. Their standard of work is very good and they always check I am satisfied and they have left a record of what they have done every week. I would highly recommend them.

Reply from James Edwards, Managing Director at Caremark Ashford & Shepway

Thank you so much for the positive review. We're glad to hear we make a difference to your son's day! For clarification to those reading the reviews; Caremark are a domiciliary care company as opposed to a cleaning services company. We provide many types of services during care calls and this does include light domestic duties. When light domestic tasks are the only thing that is required, we can understand where the confusion arises. Thank you for the review nonetheless, always appreciated.

Called in Caremark to provide two visits a day for my father-in-law, age 87, mainly to prepare meals, check on medication and provide a welfare visit. I personally have had the most contact with the field care supervisor who carried out a very detailed assessment and was able to set up exactly the help
we needed. Father-in-law is an anxious sort, so was particularly looking for a care company who could rotate a small number of carers for consistency. Caremark was able to do this and has provided an excellent service ever since. The family are very grateful for their caring and expertise, nothing phases them and they have a very sensible approach. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much for the lovely words. It's always great to hear that our care services are well received. We always strive to permanently allocate specific carers to each customer where possible in order to minimise disruption and any anxiety. It's been a pleasure looking after your father-in-law.

I was contacted by the registered care manager to discuss my dad's requirements and the offer of the two weeks (6 hours per week) free of charge was taken up. My dad, who is 87 with dementia and having lost his wife over a year ago, gets very lonely because I have to go to work and his other children
do not live close and also work full-time.
The care taken over the 'care plan' was very thorough and I felt assured that the Caremark team who visited my dad would have a good understanding of his likes, dislikes and the care that was required to ensure he was safe and had the company he craved.
I have had a look at the prices for the companionship that my dad would like and it does seem a little expensive, something that my dad can't budget for at the moment because of the cost of living crisis.
I will look again in the future for assistance as the service was lovely and I felt at ease that my dad would be safe and well looked after. The registered care manager was super and helpful.

Thank you so much for the lovely review. Our care manager and care team will be so pleased to hear they made a positive difference. We always strive to make those we care for comfortable and at ease.
For full review transparency, Caremark did not provide free-of-charge care. This was a referral from a respite charity who funded the care directly with Caremark. However, Clare's father was cared for by Caremark and we are pleased to have done so!

I was looking for some help for my 96-year-old father. After trying several local care providers I was becoming rather anxious as they were unable to help me.
I was so lucky that I found Caremark. The field care supervisor and her team are amazing. From our first conversation, her home visit to Dad
and the help that they have offered we are both delighted. All the staff are kind, sensitive and knowledgeable.
I would not hesitate in recommending Caremark and I am so relieved that I found them.

My life is a little less ordinary than a lot of people may be. I'm a radio and internet broadcaster, of 30 years and a musician. I've been a radio advertising and Marketing Sales Executive and also a Kent County Council Marketing and PR Manager and media buyer, but I took my first care job in 2011/12 after a period of a difficult divorce and unemployment.

My daughter was a care worker and still is, and she encouraged me to try a care/support role. Once I started I have not looked back. Out of all my glamorous jobs in my life in radio etc, enjoying the privilege of meeting and helping many amazing and very special people who live with exceptionally difficult circumstances, is far more satisfying than my past career roles. I have been with a care company in Medway for 10 years looking after and supporting a select few people. One person for ten years now, and who I still support.

In 2019 I moved to Lydd making it less viable to work in Medway with just two clients, so I approached Caremark.
I researched many care companies, but Caremark by far seemed the best. They seemed to me to be a really friendly, professional and great company to work for, and I'm pleased to say I was right. I would say, in my mind, Caremark are big enough to cope but small enough to care, which is brilliant. The people here are great. Helpful supportive and professional and I love working here alongside my broadcasting, playing in my four-piece folk rock band 'Shanakee' and my recording studio work. Long may it continue.
