Excellent and reliable. Wonderful kind carers for my wife who has Parkinson’s and dementia. Nothing was too much trouble. You never know what to expect in a difficult situation but the all round care from the head office to the carers was first class.

My mother had a severe stroke, lost her husband and was forced into a nursing home where she suffered terribly. Fortunately, someone from Visiting Angels visited me and gave me lots of advice on how we could care for my mother at home, with support from Visiting Angels. The Angels visited my home and
explained how they would match my mother with a carer that was suited to her and what we would need in our house to meet her needs. It was such a bewildering time in my life and Visiting Angels were really helpful and supportive.

I cannot praise the manager, one other staff member and the team highly enough. From the very beginning, they have been professional, helpful and approachable. They have been providing my parents with excellent support for a couple of months now and are coping amazingly with my father's Alzheimers.
I am truly thankful to have found them and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

My personal experience of carers and caregiving, both good and bad, has made me realise how varied the level of care can be and how confusing and worrying it is for families just trying to do the best for their loved ones. I am committed to supporting those who need to make difficult decisions and helping them understand their entitlements and options so that they don’t repeat my experiences.


I am also committed to providing the best level of care, in the home, with great carers who are looked after and because of that provide continuity.


And that’s why, after a successful career in both big and small businesses, including my own, I decided to change direction and do something with Visiting Angels that is more than just a job and gives something back.


My hands-on role is to run and grow the business and make sure that Rosie and her team have what they need.


I’ll also be working closely with them to see where I can add to the quality of complete care we provide.

With over 13 years of experience in the care sector, I have a wealth of knowledge gained from providing hands-on care to vulnerable individuals. It is truly refreshing and fulfilling to work for a company like Visiting Angels that shares my commitment to high standards, ethical principles, and utmost respect for our care staff. That’s why I decided to join José at Visiting Angels.


My role involves the day-to-day management of the branch, which includes assessing our client’s needs and creating person-centred care plans that promote independence while minimizing any potential risks. My management journey was driven by a desire to facilitate significant positive changes in people’s lives.


Having experienced various standards of care throughout my career, I am determined to lead a company that consistently exceeds the expectations of an average care service. I firmly believe that going above and beyond is not only beneficial for our clients and their families but also crucial for the well-being and motivation of our care staff.


In addition to management responsibilities, I oversee quality control and recruitment. I take great pride in our meticulous selection process when bringing new members to our team. We provide comprehensive onboarding with face-to-face training, personally conducted by me. I am proud to say that my team is diligent in monitoring our client’s well-being and is well-trained to identify safeguarding concerns and suggest improvements to enhance our client’s quality of life.


I am a firm believer in setting goals for all our clients, aiming to achieve better outcomes and giving our carers and clients specific targets to focus on, all while adhering to CQC guidelines. I want our clients to understand that I am always prepared to go the extra mile, and we work as a united team in collaboration with them and their families to achieve the best possible results. I maintain a highly hands-on approach to ensure the highest level of care.
