Grace has vast experience in the Health Care Sector for over 22 years, starting her career as a care worker in a nursing home in 2002 and moving on to work for Sheffield Health and Social Care. Whilst raising a family, Grace showed great determination and acquired a Bachelor of Medical Science in Nursing.
From 2010, Grace joined South-West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation where she initially worked as a Qualified Nurse. During that period Grace gained extensive experience supporting people with a range of different health conditions, including mental health, learning disabilities acute, enduring, complex, and challenging mental health problems.
Grace has strong 'people' and observational skills, and experience in assessing an individual's care and support needs. Grace has the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, their families, staff, and other professionals.
Grace has completed various trainings including Mentorship, Clinical Risk, and Clinical supervision. Crucial conversation and Magnificent 7 management leadership.
Grace progressed her career and was promoted to different roles such as ward sister and deputy team manager.
Being an ambitious, committed individual, Grace was appointed a Clinical Ward Manager in the acute ward. Grace moved to work in the community for the Intensive Home-Based Treatment Team (gatekeeping for hospital admission). Having worked for inpatient wards and in the community setting. Grace has a greater insight into the demands of beds.
In these roles, Grace gained extensive knowledge in day-to-day management and ensured that team resources were deployed appropriately to meet the demands of the service. Grace focused on quality assurance, compliance, and operational management. Grace ensured that appropriate management arrangements were in place to minimise risk including clinical risk and health and safety of staff, service users and others. Grace has experience in recruitment, HR and system investigations, monitoring staff’ conduct, and performance and promoting staff wellbeing.
As the Director - Registered Manager, Grace’s founding vision is to provide the highest quality care and support to people who live independently within their homes/communities and be positively involved in their lives using the least restrictive option.
