Thanks to all the care team and office staff for providing excellent care for my sister. During the road being closed for repair, the girls had to walk in the rain down a muddy bridleway to be able to get to our house.
And still, had a smile for my sister.

After my visit with my lovely stepmum who tells me how wonderful Right at Home are who comes to take her out to various appointments and clubs. They are very professional and have an abundance of dignity and compassion. I highly recommend Right at Home.

The care that was given was amazing. They treated him with respect and dignity. The staff came on time, very polite. The care was arranged by staff in the office as soon as it was needed. I'm only sorry he can't be home with Right at Home coming in to care for him.

Delighted with the support I get, they could not be more caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The best thing my son has done for me recently is set up these visits.

I used the services of Right at Home for short-term post-operative care, as I live alone. I found all the staff to be most helpful, cheerful and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the care your team gave Mum over the last couple of months. Everyone who cared for her was lovely and very respectful of Mum's needs and dignity. She really enjoyed their company and good humour.
My sister and I were also incredibly grateful for the support
you gave us. In particular, your quick response to our initial enquiry, how you helped us work up Mum's initial care plan and the flexibility and suggestions you gave when this needed to change were so helpful at a very difficult time.
Unfortunately, the deterioration in Mum's health has necessitated a move into a care home, but we'll always be thankful for the extra time you allowed her to have in her home.

My opening line has to be on behalf of my family, we are so pleased we chose Right at Home to care for our mum.
From my initial phone call in March, the team at Right at Home have been wonderful, fully understanding and recognising the stress and pressure that our family was feeling to do the right
thing and maintain Mum's dignity.
Staff walked us through the whole process step by step, to ensure our mother is given the best possible care she deserves and needs, I have to say the Right at Home team have then held our hand through the process even working with the district nurses and palliative care team to ensure Mum receives the best care.
A special mention to the carers who have been just fantastic so far with Mum, they have worked so hard to respect Mum and her wishes and Mum now trusts these ladies which is very important.
4 visits per day, not a single appointment has been missed in 5 weeks which speaks volumes for the professionalism of everyone at Right at Home.

I found the staff very reassuring at an obviously worrying time. My father seems to like the carers, and he is kept clean and tidy. Everyone seems to be very competent and caring. If there has been anything that needs changing, i.e. times of visits, that has been accommodated. I'm not sure how many
different carers are visiting, but it would be nice if there were as few as possible so that dad can get to know them.

I emailed my enquiry and the response was instant. I set up a meeting with the manager, me and my mum within days. The meeting exceeded all my expectations and I knew straight away these were the ones I would put my trust in to look after Mum. Communication with the manager has been second to none and
I can feel a weight lifted off of my shoulders. I know Mum is going to be in good hands because it's clear this is not just a job, the manager is truly passionate about what she does. I can see a lovely future for Mum and these guys because they actually care.

Right at Home were asked at short notice to provide 24-hour at-home end-of-life care to a single lady. Their team of carers were excellent in giving compassionate and dedicated care under the most trying conditions. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Could not be more pleased with the service. All done with efficiency and compassion and a lot of sensitivity. The girls go above and beyond the remit. Lovely to have such people in my home.
Only downside was that everything came at once and was very overwhelming. I live alone and having so many people
in the house at the same time was just too much.

Our friend has been treated with the utmost kindness and consideration. All her needs have been met, and her wishes are put first at all times. The staff have quickly and efficiently involved all the necessary outside agencies for her care needs. They have kept us (as power of attorney) updated with

At Right at Home Calderdale I believe I have a unique opportunity to deliver outstanding care in our community I have been part of for over 20 years. My career to date has been in hospitality and the service industry and I want to bring all the great stuff I have learnt together into Right at Home Calderdale to make a difference every day.


My father suffers from Alzheimer's and I’m a recognised dementia friend and want to progress to a dementia champion to develop my understanding of dementia further and help people in our community."

I am Gemma and I am the Registered Manager here at Right at Home Calderdale.


I have worked as a Registered Manager for several years and love my job! I believe that a care package should be bespoke to an individual and that the care we deliver is of the highest standard, enabling our clients to live as independently as possible in their own homes, for as long as possible.


Seeing the difference our CareGivers make in clients' lives is so very rewarding and helps push me and my teams to make a difference to more people in the local communities.


I am passionate about developing our CareGivers and helping every one of them, whether that be around training or career development or just being the best CareGiver possible. Seeing my teams succeed and deliver quality care to our clients, is why I do my job!


Outside of work, I am a wife and mum to four teenagers (one 9 but…), which keeps me on my toes. I am also a crazy cat lady, and my three cats can get away with anything!
