She went into community care before later working in surgical wards and the theatre department at the Queen’s Medical Centre before then going on to work at a local private cosmetic surgery clinic.
During the course of her career, she worked in all of our covered areas as a Carer, Field Care Supervisor and Care Coordinator for other care companies.

Chekira's care journey started when her mother was diagnosed with MS and began her journey as a carer.
Along the way, she has had the pleasure of experiencing different roles in the industry and even went on to study Adult nursing, where she then worked onwards and in the community.
Chekira has been able to see the difference when someone actually cares and has a passion for improving the quality of life, however, sometimes this can be disrupted by the issues that occur in the healthcare industry. Caregivers being overworked and not valued has made it difficult for true effective care to be delivered.
