The team at Radfield was fantastic in their support and care for my mum. The care, compassion, and flexibility of the management team generally and particularly when dealing with the unexpected and crisis was exemplary.

Radfield has a wonderful group of carers working for them. Every one of them is warm and kind in their approach. Their skills and expertise are excellent in everything. We feel so fortunate to have found Radfield and they accommodated my mother's needs immediately. I recommend them 100%, they have helped
us so much. We now have a regular pattern of care set up and can't imagine how we coped without them. Thank you to the owner and her lovely team.

My mum has had Radfield for a couple of months now. I have been very impressed by their service. The communication has been really regular and helpful.
The app shows lots of information about the visit, which enables me to get a sense of how Mum is each day and if anything needs sorting.
Mum has really
warmed to her carers, as she didn't feel she needed support when it started.

Such a delight to deal with. They accommodated my mother's needs and were reliable professional and very approachable. I was very surprised and happy with all the care, she turns up on time every visit, has no problems with dignity, she is very attentive to my needs. I have a balance problem so I have to have to have close attendance or I will fall at any time, so I am conscious of her close attendance which is very

I contacted Radfield Home Care in regards to getting some help put in place for my father. He has had a few medical hiccups, lives alone and has got to a point where he is not really looking after himself properly. I live quite far away and so unable to help him on a daily basis, so finding Radfield
Care and meeting the team was an absolute godsend for me. The relief I felt being able to leave my father knowing he was going to have a nutritious home-cooked meal every night and given a reminder to take his medication took a huge weight off my shoulders. I'm able to track Dad's care on their app so every day I know his mood, what he has eaten and the tasks that have been completed. Not only do they support my father but they have been incredibly kind and understanding with me, offering advice and support when I've needed it the most. It's not an easy journey, but I couldn't be more grateful and happy that I've found Radfield. Life is more balanced when you are walking beside me. Thank you.

My dad has started having a carer once a week to take him out, as he is too unsteady to be safe without falling. He has a wheelchair to push and when tired or unsteady, he gets in to be pushed. My father points out the history and architecture of the area and really looks forward to getting out and
talking. He often meets people he knows to keep up social interactions. I have already seen a difference in a month, to his mental health and stamina. Radfield Home care has made a great difference to his life and I am sure, will be ready to add other care, if and when needed. From enquiry, there was a face-to-face meeting to assess his care needs, times and how everything works, within days. The care started almost immediately and has been simple to manage with fortnightly bills. We have been able to easily finance it by claiming an attendance allowance.

Radfield Epsom/Leatherhead have provided in-home full-time care for our father for over 6 months now. Since we do not live in the UK, it is important for us to have an open and free communication, as well as absolute trust with both our father's carers and the Radfield management. We have been very

I had to contact the team on Boxing Day. I didn't expect to get an answer as it was a holiday, but my call was dealt with promptly and efficiently. I was not rushed and given so much guidance and advice even though it was a Bank Holiday. Following on from this we needed care for my father when he came
out of hospital. Receiving help was not something he accepted lightly. He needs daily help and all the staff are caring and respectful to his needs and wishes. They help wash him each morning, make his meals and help with the preparation of bedtime. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always kind and friendly to him. Even when they have finished their duties, they do not leave before the allocated time but continue to sit and talk to him. Having Radfield on board has definitely taken a weight off my mind. Thank you to all the team.

When I contacted the care provider, they promptly arranged for someone to come and assess my needs. They were very helpful and accommodating, as I wasn‘t sure how much help I would be needing after my hip replacement surgery.
They arranged a rota for me, and the carers turned up on time and were extremely
good and kind. They reviewed the rota when it became clear that I needed less time with a carer.
I was very happy with the service overall.

We needed daily care for my mum when she came out of hospital and respite care after breaking her arm. She also has Parkinson’s. The team were brilliant in helping her to get up, dressed and ready for the day. They also came twice a week to help with her physio exercises. There was a big emphasis on
supporting Mum to be as independent as possible. I found the team a joy to liaise with. They also made my dad, who was a bit resistant to getting help, feel supported but not overrun. It was a great care experience, with such friendly and knowledgeable Carers and I would recommend the Radfield Home Care Epsom and Leatherhead team without reservation.

My mother has been recieving care from Radfield for several months, and is benefiting greatly from it.
Radfield can give the care she needs when she needs it, and change as her needs change.
She also enjoys the carers being from the area, so she can chat about local news and issues to keep a connection
with the community as she cannot get out and about as much as she used to.

The family and I interviewed a partner from Radfield Home Care as we needed extra help to relieve me as the main carer for my husband who is well into his 90's and suffers from Alzheimer's and various other complaints, this included getting him up in the morning, preparing our breakfasts, walking him
down to the Dementia Centre as well as washing and washing up. We were very impressed by her bubbly personality displaying a great social conscience and felt that she and her partner ran a happy ship for both staff and clients.
They came themselves the first fortnight to find out what was involved and get to know us while the carer was being trained.
It has been a great success so far, nothing has been too much trouble. Help has been extended beyond expectations. We feel part of a loving extended family.

Mum looks forward to her visits from her carers who are always on time and ready for a laugh with her. As a result, she is more settled, eating well and becoming more confident in going out again and socialising.
I am impressed with the communication system which allows me to see what my mother is
up to and how her carers are relating with her. This is important as I do not live nearby.

We contacted the team at Radfield for support and information for my neighbour and friend. The team were brilliant. They booked to come and talk to us straight away. They met with us as a group and answered our multitude of questions. They sign-posted us to external support for equipment to be put in
place and have supported us as a group to reach our decisions around the care needed for him. I couldn't fault their time and support. We have chosen Radfield for our care and are very happy to have them.

Karen Knapp

Radfield Home Care Epsom & Leatherhead was established in November 2022 by Director/Owner Karen Knapp. Karen prides herself on providing excellent service for clients with care that makes a real difference.


Karen started her career as a family care worker over a decade ago supporting a foster family and later moving into the community enabling adults and children to maintain their independence at home. For a long time after this, her life took a different path. She moved into the world of finance, with a focus on mentoring and coaching her team. She took great pride in helping team members, graduates, apprentices and colleagues to explore and reach their full potential.


Karen’s natural affinity for care and nurturing relationships makes her perfect for the home care sector, where she can help the local community age well and remain connected to what matters most.


“I loved my time as a Care Professional and, despite how well my career in finance climbed, I couldn’t shake the desire to return to a job that I loved and had a passion for. I enjoy helping and supporting people and feel so privileged to have the opportunity to return to my career roots, fulfilling a lifelong dream of spearheading a profession that provides excellent and quality care for those in the community.”


Karen comes from a family of care-related professions. Psychiatric nurses, radiographers, social workers, midwives, hospital administrators and now, Karen too.


“When I was 18 I loved providing support, encouragement and companionship to those that I cared for. I dreamt that one day I would be able to open care and foster homes in my community that offered the excellent social care that people deserve. I strongly believe both older and younger generations have so much experience and knowledge to offer one another. By bringing them together, we can create physically active, mentally fulfilling and lasting connections in our communities. At first, this felt like a pipe dream, now, through Radfield Home Care I am taking that first step towards making a difference in the lives of those that we meet.”

Kirsty first joined Radfield as a care professional in January 2024, having already worked in care for an impressive 16 years. A dedicated and qualified professional within the care sector, Kirsty describes her background:


“At 19 I started working in a nursing home (for 4 years) then I worked for a few domiciliary care companies (for 4 years). Then I worked for Sutton Social Services with their rehabilitation team (3 years) and then I was a private carer up until 2022 (learning how to do some of the paperwork side of things). Last year I worked in a small independent pharmacy. I started off as a teenager knowing nothing about care, but over the years have learnt and understood the different needs and challenges faced by those requiring care. I’ve met people from all walks of life, in all different circumstances. I’ve taken every learning opportunity given to me to help support various health conditions and provide personalised care.”
